Jinder Mahal Is Covering For Michael Cole Now

Published

on

WWE Jinder Mahal

Less than 12 months after he put over Rob Gronkowski in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33, Jinder Mahal is putting Michael Cole over at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Or at least covering for Cole’s ass.

(In between, Jinder didn’t do much–just wearing the freakin’ WWE Championship!)

When Jinder Mahal entered the 2018 Royal Rumble, Michael Cole said it was his first Rumble. Cole even said he was “doing some research.” Apparently that didn’t include CageMatch.net or even Wikipedia, because he’d have known it was Jinder’s third.

Jinder didn’t even worry about it, though.

Covering for ya boy. Because that’s what Maharajas do.

WWE News: Mae Young Classic Competitor Signs WWE Contract

Published

on

*WARNING – Spoilers ahead*

With the first round of WWE’s second annual Mae Young Classic still being aired weekly on the WWE Network, those who have tuned in have gotten a chance yet again to catch some more great female talent, just as we saw last year.

One of the more popular competitors in this year’s field has been Mia Yim, the former IMPACT Wrestling star who competed as Jade. The 29-year old, 9-year veteran of course also took part in the tournament last year, only making it to the second round where she was eliminated by Shayna Baszler. Last week, we saw Mia once again advance to the second round when she defeated her old rival Allysin Kay, securing her next match against Kaitlyn. Of course if you followed along with the spoilers for the Mae Young Classic, we know Mia will make it onto one more round before being eliminated.

While Mia certainly won’t be going as far as some fans would like, she did get a lot of love from the live crowd following her exit from the tournament as Full Sail University rang out with chants of “Please Sign Mia” directed at Triple H, much like we saw with Cedric Alexander during the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. Today, we now know that the crowd’s wishes have come true as PWInsider is confirming that Mia has indeed signed a WWE contract. This makes Yim the only competitor from the Mae Young Classic field (who isn’t already signed) to be given a WWE deal and if you’ve been following along with recent videos shot at the Performance Center, you will see she is already there working out.

At this time, there’s no word on when she will be making her official debut.

EC3 Destroys TNA In One ‘Claire Lynch’ Tweet

Published

on

EC3 Claire Lynch AJ Styles TNA

Twitter is an amazing place, although sometimes it can be quite off-putting. That was not the case when EC3 gave us a tweet about Dixie Carter–that was really more about TNA in general–that should never be forgotten.

Lars Sullivan tweeted that EC3 was the worst thing to ever come out of Dixie Carter (odd, since she’s his “aunt,” and not his “mother”), and EC3 provided a response that can never be topped.

Fans will remember Claire Lynch as the supposed mistress of AJ Styles, a storyline so bad it was quickly (but not quickly abandoned) after revealing Christopher Daniels put Claire up to the claim. This, of course, was after a failed pregnancy was included as part of the storyline.

Thankfully, the YouTube videos still exist…for now:

I wouldn’t expect those videos to go away anytime soon, since the descriptions were recently updated with details on subscribing to the Global Wrestling Network.

Claire Lynch was played by commercial actress Julia Reilly, who reportedly quit the company after being harassed online (shocker), and wasn’t heard from since. Her Twitter account lists her as a trade show presenter, but the last tweet was in 2015. She did post to Instagram this year, and (sadly, for her) someone commented about her TNA run back in February.

Thanks to Dixie Carter’s nephew, her wrestling fame will live on forever.
