Jinder Mahal Is Covering For Michael Cole Now

Published

on

WWE Jinder Mahal

Less than 12 months after he put over Rob Gronkowski in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33, Jinder Mahal is putting Michael Cole over at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Or at least covering for Cole’s ass.

(In between, Jinder didn’t do much–just wearing the freakin’ WWE Championship!)

When Jinder Mahal entered the 2018 Royal Rumble, Michael Cole said it was his first Rumble. Cole even said he was “doing some research.” Apparently that didn’t include CageMatch.net or even Wikipedia, because he’d have known it was Jinder’s third.

Jinder didn’t even worry about it, though.

Covering for ya boy. Because that’s what Maharajas do.

WWE Survivor Series 2018

The final match of WWE Survivor Series 2018 saw Universal Champion Brock Lesnar (representing Raw, and accompanied by Paul Heyman) fight WWE Champion Daniel Bryan (representing Smackdown, freshly turned heel).

  • After Paul Heyman reminded everyone just how over Brock Lesnar is, Daniel Bryan played his new heel role to perfection by sticking and moving, and mocking Brock Lesnar.
  • Once Brock Lesnar got his hands on Daniel Bryan, it was clobberin’ time for The Beast.
  • Ten minutes in, Brock picked Bryan up in a pinfall attempt, and Bryan fought back. The official was taken out, and Bryan hit a low blow on Brock. Bryan would hit the Knee Plus, but Brock kicked out at two.
  • The action spilled to the outside, but Daniel Bryan would score another near fall with the Knee Plus at 15:45.
  • Bryan locked in the YES Lock at 17:45, and Brock nearly tapped out. Bryan would lock it in again, but Brock got out again as well.
  • A few seconds later, Brock Lesnar would hit an F5 to score the fall at 18:42.
  • Even though it was already over, Brock Lesnar’s win gave Raw the clean sweep over Smackdown (since the kickoff didn’t count). It was Raw’s third win in a row.

WWE Survivor Series 2018

The sixth match of WWE Survivor Series 2018 saw Charlotte Flair substitute for Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and face Raw Women’s Champion, the Baddest Woman on the Planet, Ronda Rousey.

  • Right after the introductions, the Staples Center crowd broke out into a “BECKY!” chant once more, but quickly subdued (for now).
  • The action was physical early, as Ronda was bleeding from the mouth five minutes in.
  • Nine minutes into the match, Ronda was getting fired up but Charlotte nailed her with a Spear for a super close near fall. Flair would follow-up by avoiding an armbar and locking in the Figure Four, but Rousey was able to reverse it.
  • Charlotte would nail Ronda with a kendo stick and blasted Rousey with it, losing by disqualification at 14:10.
  • Charlotte continued the onslaught, including Pillmanizing Rousey’s neck with a chair, which brought WWE officials out to the ring to stop the attack.
  • The ending of this match sets up the build for WrestleMania 35, where we can still expect to see Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair.
