However, Lesnar didn’t appear and WWE had Reigns cut a promo in the ring about how Lesnar does what he wants when he wants.

Dave Meltzer gave some insight into why Lesnar wasn’t on the show. Here is what he had to say:

“Brock Lesnar is booked in Detroit in two weeks, that I know,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “He’s not booked for next Monday’s show in Milwaukee and Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were scheduled for a confrontation on the show tonight. So that was definitely in the script and whatever happened if this was a last second angle change or something happened, I don’t know.”

My Thoughts:

WWE gets an applause for this, as it helped in two ways. Let me first say, I believe this was all a planned work. WWE never intended on Lesnar appearing at Raw which helped Reigns get over in his promo. Reigns was able to speak for the majority of Social Media Wrestling fans, who hate Lesnar’s schedule. This also positioned Lesnar as the uncaring business fighter and not one of our guys. This was a great move by WWE and as I stated last night, Reigns by himself sold Wrestlemania, in one promo. Lookout anti-Reigns fans you are running out of reasons to dislike the guy.
