The WWE Universe rejoiced back in March when Daniel Bryan finally gained clearance from the company to return to the ring, making his highly anticipated comeback in a winning effort at WrestleMania. Prior to Bryan getting cleared, there had been lots of talk and speculation that he could leave the company and wrestle elsewhere, as his contract was set to expire in September.
Since his return, Bryan’s contract situation has flown a little bit under the radar, with no updates or discussion about it since. Today, it was revealed by Ringside News that on the latest edition of PWInsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson revealed that Daniel has yet to sign a new WWE deal:
“He has not. His deal is still set to expire in September and if he does not, he could still walk out and go work elsewhere. Although my gut feeling is it’s not going to happen. He will probably sign a new deal.”

EA’s Take: I cannot fathom that at this point, Bryan would leave in September. This would put the WWE Universe into a complete uproar if he were to walk less than six months after getting cleared. The company finally gave him what he wanted and he’ll be rewarded handsomely in his next deal, I’d imagine. I put the chances of Daniel Bryan leaving WWE at 0.0% right now. Something crazy would have to happen for me to believe otherwise.
