WWE Rumors: Speculation On SAnitY & Authors Of Pain’s Lack Of Use

If you’re one of the WWE fans who keeps up with NXT, certainly the main roster arrivals of The Authors Of Pain and SAnitY made you excited to see what they could do on RAW and SmackDown Live respectively. AOP debuted on the Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania back in April, while SAnitY was added to the blue brand as a part of the Superstar Shake-Up two weeks later.

We’ve yet to see Eric Young, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe on television yet and with The Authors Of Pain now working WWE Main Event this week, fans are starting to wonder why they have been used sparingly, if at all. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Live, there’s a reason for that.

Meltzer stated:

“They’re around (AOP and SAnitY). They got brought up and remember the idea that ‘we’re not going to bring anyone up unless we have ideas for them? Well, they brought them up and now they have no ideas for them.”

EA’s Take: This certainly does seem to be the case, more so with AOP though, in my opinion. What have they done since coming to RAW? Destroyed Heath Slater and Rhyno a couple of times AND ditched their mouthpiece. That’s it, so it does feel like creative’s got nothing for them right now, but outside of The B Team and (arguably) Ziggler and McIntyre, do any teams seem to have direction right now on RAW? Absolutely not, which is why I addressed this on the Top Of The Morning Podcast last Sunday. As for SAnitY, I’ve always thought the first natural feud for them would be against another trio in The New Day. I also think New Day’s involvement in the Money In The Bank Ladder match this year could be leading to SAnitY’s arrival. What better way to kick-start that then to cost a New Day member MITB? Of course I’m spitballing, but it makes sense, right?
