NXT Takeover: Ricochet vs. Velveteen Dream Result

Velveteen Dream and Ricochet took the stage for the second match of tonight’s NXT Takeover: Chicago II card.

Velveteen Dream channeled Hulk Hogan early–very early–both with his attire and his pre-match mannerisms…but he did it with Prince Puma themed tights! Both men were insanely over with the crowd, in a match that had the big fight feel that Velveteen Dream has a knack for bringing.

The match featured a suplex to the floor from the apron, a unique spot in an era that is almost impossible to be unique. Both men had their chance to shine during this match, but it was Ricochet who pulled out the victory with the 630 Splash. Dream still has plenty to work on, but WWE has a major star on their hands with him.
