UFC News: Dana White Says Brock Lesnar Interested In Jon Jones Fight

Published

on

Over the weekend at UFC 225 in Chicago, Illinois, TMZ Sports caught up with UFC President Dana White (as seen in the video above) and inquired about the status of current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ is still under some sort of contract with WWE, reportedly ending after SummerSlam on August 19th.

White would state that he was under that same belief:

“Brock’s WWE deal is up at the end of the Summer I think and I know he wants to fight. So I’m sure we’ll end up getting that figured out.”

When asked who he’d like to see ‘The Beast Incarnate’ fight in the octagon, White would reply that there’s interest from both sides on a Jon Jones vs. Brock Lesnar bout:

“Obviously there’s a lot of options. You know, Jon Jones is very interested in Brock Lesnar and Brock’s very interested in Jon Jones.”

EA’s Take: From everything we’ve reported and heard so far, it’s all making sense and seeming more like Brock’s got one foot out of the WWE door. Then again, we’ve been through this rigmarole before and it wasn’t even that long ago. Even if Brock’s heading back to UFC, how much longer can he really do it for at his age? I’d imagine it would be another short-term thing, but I will say this, even I would be interested in seeing a Lesnar vs. Jones fight. I used to be a UFC fan a long time ago now, but if you want me to tune in, that’ll do pig.

WWE News: Paige Assaulted By Fan While Leaving Allstate Arena Last Night

Published

on

In some breaking news this morning, it looks like one member of the WWE Universe took things way too far following last night’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view in Rosemont, Illinois.

PWInsider is reporting that SmackDown Live General Manager Paige was the victim of an assault as she was leaving the building. According to an eye witness, the multi-time WWE Divas was on her way out of the arena in the passenger seat of her vehicle with the window down to say goodbye to the loads of fans who were patiently waiting to get a final glimpse of their favorite Superstars. While giving out some high-fives, a male approached the vehicle and then “pie-faced” Paige, telling her to “lose some weight”.

It’s being said that the fan was confronted after the incident, but it was not by Paige and has yet to be specified. It’s also unclear at this time if the fan was arrested or not, however Paige posted about it via Instagram story, which we were able to get a screen capture of:

EA’s Take: This is all kinds of wrong. Of course, this is definitely assault by the letter of the law, but it remains to be seen what will come of it or if she’ll be pressing charges (if the guy was arrested). Secondly, what the $*!# is wrong with people?!? Perhaps I have blinders on, but there’s nothing wrong with Paige’s body, so I truly don’t understand why people shame her about her weight. What does she weigh, 140? 150? Give me a break. I could be wrong, but I’d be willing to bet there are a lot of women who wish they looked as good as Paige does. Keep doing you boo.
