Many fans were quite displeased this past Sunday at WWE’s Money In The Bank when Sami Zayn took on Bobby Lashley, basically being destroyed by the former ECW World Champion in dominating fashion. While some of the WWE Universe was put into a “tizzy” over the booking of the match, there now appears to be a good reason for ‘The Underdog from the Underground’ getting laid out the way that he was.
According to PWInsider, Zayn has been dealing with a nagging injury and the reason for him losing to Lashley in such a fashion was in order to write him off of television. It’s being said that Money In The Bank was Sami’s last date before taking some time off to deal with the ailment, which has yet to be specified. Currently, Sami is scheduled to make his way to Birmingham, Alabama for an examination, however it’s also not known exactly when he will be making his way there.
EA’s Take: This really explains a lot and just further reiterates to me why fans need to calm down sometimes until they know the bigger picture. There may not be any details, but we all know that if you’re on your way to Birmingham to be examined by Dr. Jeffery Dugas, who does all of WWE’s major surgeries these days, then it must be something that likely will keep him on the shelf for an extended period of time.
