IMPACT News: Global Force DVDs Pulled From IMPACT Wrestling Website

Published

on

In case you missed it, news broke yesterday that WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against Anthem Sports, the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling, for copyright infringement as first reported by PWInsider (read more about that here).

To sum the lawsuit up, Jarrett and GFE allege that Anthem is making money off of the Global Force Wrestling name, (including selling Global Force Wrestling DVDs on the IMPACT Wrestling website) and content despite their agreement being severed back in the Fall of 2017.

Today, IMPACT Wrestling has noticeably removed the four GFW Amped DVDs that were up for sale, comprised of content that was filmed to originally be a part of a 16 episode series, of course which never came to fruition. Instead, the content was used for a string of IMPACT Wrestling One Night Only pay-per-views which aired last year.

At this time, IMPACT Wrestling and Anthem have yet to comment on the lawsuit.

EA’s Take: Some will probably take those DVDs being removed from the site as an instant admission of guilt, however that’s not necessarily the case. It could be just because Anthem wants the legal process to be worked out first and doesn’t want to take the chance of leaving them up. So while everything points to Anthem being in the wrong, we can’t jump the gun just yet by calling them guilty as this will likely be a long process.

WWE News: More On Sin Cara’s Injury, What He Had Surgery For

Published

on

As it was noted yesterday, WWE Superstar Sin Cara was down in Birmingham, Alabama for an undisclosed injury with little details being revealed (read about that here). Of course, Birmingham is where Dr. Jeffrey Dugas is located, the man who does nearly all of the surgical procedures whenever any of the WWE’s performers are injured.

Sin Cara had been out of action since a SmackDown Live Event in Albany, Georgia on August 5th when he defeated Aiden English, but there was never any news regarding an injury. Late last night, Sin Cara took to Twitter to reveal that he had in fact undergone knee surgery with Dr. Dugas, but it’s still not known the exact nature of the procedure:

Translation: Today we did with Doctor Jeffrey Dugas a few small adjustments on my knee to get back with everything to my field 🤼♂️. The body is wise and tells you when to stop ✋️. But he also has memory and knows when to return 👊.

At this time, it’s unclear when Sin Cara will be able to return to the ring.
