As it’s been noted, the WWE RAW roster was on the road to tonight’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view with Live Events in Peoria, Illinois on Friday night, followed by another in Champaign, Illinois last night. There was some of backlash on social media from fans who attended the events, as none of the red brand’s Women’s Division Superstars appeared at either show with no real explanation given.
According to WrestlingInc, the reason for the absence of the Women’s Division was due to them being in Rosemont, Illinois, the site of Money In The Bank, as they were doing rehearsals for tonight’s Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match.
EA’s Take: When I first saw all the complaining, I understood why people were upset. However at the end of the day, every card, including Live Events, are always subject to change. On the other hand, I don’t understand why there were absolutely NO women’s matches. There are only four women from RAW and four from SmackDown Live in the Women’s MITB match, so why exactly weren’t the rest of them there. For example, RAW’s entrants are Ember Moon, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and Natalya. So where was The Riott Squad, Mickie James, Bayley, RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Dana Brooke? Perhaps, Nia was rehearsing for her match with Ronda Rousey? We know Ronda’s got basically no experience, so I could see that. The rest of it I don’t understand, so I think people are one hundred percent justified in being displeased with the card.
