The music of King Booker begins shortly after the match ends and he and his Queen, Sharmell, enter the arena. We are rejoined by the RAW announce team and they introduces us to a video of Booker making JR kiss the ring. Booker is treated with a spark shower when he enters the ring and raises the pinky high in the air. The promo for The King of Kings begins, and this is a return nine months in the making. The video shows Triple H’s knee being rebuilt like the Terminator while the narrator proclaims he will return “Better, Stronger, Faster.” We hear the classic “Are You Ready” from Triple H as the pyro explodes and his Motorhead theme “King of Kings” begins. The crowd explodes as Lillian Garcia welcomes back Triple H and he makes his way out. The Cerebral Assassin spits his water out on the apron and you can see the look of joy on Hunter’s face as he eyes the crowd from the apron. A great entrance with a great theme here for Triple H.

After Triple H finishes posing in the corner, Booker returns to the ring and each man takes to his corner. Booker takes a cheapshot and kicks Triple H in the gut before the bell. As soon as it sounds, the crowd erupts as Triple H takes King Booker off from his feet with a series of right hands. He then sends Booker tumbling over the top rope with a clothesline. When he does his signature taunt in the center of the ring, the crowd gets even louder. Booker takes his time returning to the ring as the “Triple H” chants begin. After a little back and forth, Triple H sends Booker again to the outside with a clothesline over the top rope. Triple H joins him on the outside this time and bangs Booker’s head off the security rail. He returns Booker to the ring, and after a reversed Irish whip, Hunter catches Booker with a facebuster. Triple H goes for the first over but only is rewarded a two. Sharmell gets involved and grabs the foot of Triple H. This opens a window for Booker to strike and dropkick the rehabbed knee of Triple H. Booker then turns his focus to the knee, and after he stomps it, he leaves the ring to bounce it off the apron. Booker then tries to slam Hunter, but he escapes with a backslide and chops out the knee of Booker. Triple H now channels his former Evolution Member, Ric Flair, and puts Booker into the Figure-Four. Sharmell cheats again and rakes the eyes of Triple H, thus forcing him to break the hold.

Both men are slow returning to their feet but Booker gets the edge by nailing Hunter with a superkick. Booker goes for a cover but Triple H is able to roll the shoulder up. After Booker pounds Hunter with some rights, he stomps him into the corner until the ref forces the separation. The crowd start some “Booker Sucks’ chants and Triple H uses them to rally behind some right hands. He then tosses Booker from the ring and joins him on the outside. Triple H bounces Booker’s face off the stairs and follows it up with an Irish whip into them. When they return to the ring Triple H nails his signature spinebuster, and the crowd explodes when Triple H hops to his feet. The Pedigree is all but dropped when Booker escapes it and goes for the Ax Kick. Hunter ducks this, but is caught with the Book End instead. Booker hooks the leg and Triple H is still able to toss him off at the count of two. Booker gives him a sidewalk slam next and takes to the top rope. Booker comes flipping off from it, but Triple H is able to roll from harms way. The Pedigree happens now and The King of Kings, Triple H, gets the pin fall victory. Triple H receives a standing ovation from the fans and takes a moment to drink it all in. This is a decent match and was better than the majority of the card so far. But I guess that doesn’t say much. This would be the last match at a PPV for Booker T until his return at the 2011 Royal Rumble. His name, along with nine other Superstars, would appear on a mailing list for an online company called Signature Pharmacy. There were apparently eleven names on the list, and all but one, Randy Orton, were suspended. When Booker heard of the suspension he asked to be released instead and his wish was granted. Match Time-7:58

We see a clip of the World Heavyweight Title reign of The Great Khali next. The video builds to The Champ being challenged by Batista. This all sets up what is sure to be a train wreck of a match between The Punjabi Nightmare and The Animal that is Batista. The Champion, The Great Khali is first out and he is joined by his mouthpiece Ranjin Singh. The crowd explodes when, as Michael Cole says, “The Animal is let out of his cage” and Batista enters the arena. The collar and elbow starts and Khali just shoves Batista into the corner. Khali pounds Batista to the ground with right hands and stomps until the ref forces the break. Batista tries to leave the corner but Khali shoves him right back into it and hits him with back elbows until Batista falls to the mat. Khali hits a pair of slow clotheslines before he kicks Batista from the ring with a boot to the side of the head. The Great Khali raises his hands in the center of the ring and this gets some nice heat from the fans. Batista returns to the ring and tries to take Khali off his feet with a pair of clotheslines. Khali just absorbs them both and flattens Batista with a giant chop. Khali steps onto the chest of the Animal for a pin attempt but Batista is able to get the shoulder up. After Batista is whipped shoulder first into the ring post a couple times Khali takes him off his feet again with a chop to the back. Khali then puts Batista into a shoulder vice and it takes Batista getting to the ropes to break the hold. After a shoulder block, Khali is quick to reapply the same vice. Batista eventually uses a stunner to break to hold but Khali lays him right back out with a big boot. Khali goes for the Khali Vice Grip but Batista blocks it and the crowd explodes when he lifts Khali to deliver the spinebuster. He tries for a Batista Bomb, but Khali shoves him into the corner. He then charges Batista but is met with a back elbow. Batista now takes to the top rope, but when he comes off it, The Great Khali catches him and gives him a double handed chokeslam. The Punjabi Nightmare goes to the mat and hooks a leg for the cover. Singh now slides a chair into the ring and the ref is forced to call the match when Khali strikes Batista in the back with it. After the bell is rung Khali tries to strike Batista with the chair again. Batista ducks it though and takes the big man down with a spear. It is now his turn and he beats Khali with the chair. This match is straight trash. Fast forward this as fast and as soon as you can. Match Time-6:51

Attitude of Aggression

The Attitude Of Aggression returns for another installment of The Big Four Project, a chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Four PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys cover WrestleMania VIII. The era of Hulkamania was drawing to a close and this particular WrestleMania, to a large degree, dealt with that. This epic event at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis in the spring of 1992 saw two unforgettable classic championship matches as Bret “Hitman” Hart sought to recapture the IC title from Rowdy Roddy Piper and “Macho Man” Randy Savage sought to reclaim the WWE Championship from “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Add in Hulk Hogan’s last match in WWE for roughly 10 months, and the unforgettable return of The Ultimate Warrior, and this Mania was one for the ages, even if much of the undercard was underwhelming. Join us here for all that and much more on another epic installment of The Big Four Project!
