WWE News: Details On Car Accident Involving Bray Wyatt Last Week

Published

on

As we know know, one-half of the current RAW Tag Team Champions, Bray Wyatt, was involved in a car crash while making his way to the airport in Tampa last Friday to head out for Live Events in North and South Dakota over the weekend (check out that story here).

‘The Eater Of Worlds’ was treated and then released from a Tampa medical facility, however missed all of the weekend’s shows, as well as Monday Night RAW this week, but the nature of his injuries was not disclosed. Also of note, RAW’s ring announcer and Bray’s real life girlfriend, Jojo Offerman, was also absent from the same shows, but it’s not known if she was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash or not. As for Wyatt’s scheduled title defense alongside his partner Matt Hardy against The B-Team at Extreme Rules on July 15th, that is still being advertised and doesn’t appear to be in any danger of being removed or cancelled.

Today, more details of the crash have been revealed as TMZ is reporting that Wyatt was given a citation for “careless driving while failing to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner” or basically, he caused the accident. The police report adds that Bray was “inattentive” while operating his vehicle which caused him to hit the vehicle in front of him, which then turned left in an effort to try and avoid the accident, thus striking a third vehicle.

WWE News: Liv Morgan’s Injury Now Confirmed By WWE

Published

on

If you didn’t catch last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW from Denver, Colorado, The Riott Squad was in 6-Woman Tag Team action against the trio of Natalya and The Bella Twins.

During one moment in the match, Brie was delivering her husband’s trademark Yes Kicks to Liv Morgan and misfired on a couple of shots, striking Liv in the head with two consecutive blows. Morgan was visibly wobbly immediately after, getting tagged out and then only reappearing for one more spot in the match where The Riott Squad was hit with a triple suplex.

While it was widely believed that Liv likely suffered a concussion, it had yet to be confirmed although we did learn she was undergoing testing to see if that was in fact the case (read about that here). Today, WWE has now confirmed that Morgan does have a concussion with the following statement to PWInsider:

“Liv Morgan has a concussion and is going through the proper protocol under WWE’s comprehensive wellness program.”

It has also been noted today that Liv is having trouble remembering what happened during last night’s match. Additionally, it’s being said that although she was clearly injured, Morgan essentially forced her way back into the match briefly to take the triple suplex spot. At this time it’s not known how long she will be out of action.

WWE News: RAW Rating Takes A Big Drop, Rises In Top 5 (9/24/18)

Published

on

It has been nothing but dipping ratings for WWE’s Monday Night RAW ever since the post-SummerSlam episode on August 20th. With the NFL season in full swing, would the red brand have any shot at turning it around this week?

The numbers are in for last night’s episode and their downward trend continues with a 2.349, a 12% decrease over last week’s edition that had a 2.672. This is officially the lowest rated edition of RAW in the show’s history, beating out the July 9th episode a couple of months back. Here’s a look at the last four weeks of RAW ratings:

  • September 3rd: 2.872
  • September 10th: 2.740
  • September 17th: 2.672
  • September 24th: 2.349

While RAW’s rating took a big drop this week, their Cable Top 150 Ranking in the 18-49 demographic unusually went back up to the fourth spot after ranking fifth last week:

  1. NFL/Steelers vs. Buccaneers – ESPN – 4.43
  2. Monday Night Kickoff – ESPN – 1.62
  3. SportsCenter (12 AM Hour) – ESPN – 1.50
  4. Monday Night RAW (8PM Hour) – USA Network – 0.84
  5. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood – VH1 – 0.83

EA’s Take: While I’m generally tooting the horn of “Don’t Panic” lately when it comes to RAW’s ratings, there’s not much good going on here. It’s a bit of a deceiving positive that the red brand was able to move up a slot in the Cable Top 150. Last week, they came in fifth with a 0.96 share of the 18-49 demographic, so along with a big drop in the ratings, a big decrease here as well. It’s going to continue getting worse before it gets better, I feel at least. This is football season baby and any time there’s a big game like this week, RAW has no chance.

*Spoilers* Update On Independent Star Injured At Last Week’s NXT TV Tapings

Published

on

Last Thursday, WWE’s NXT was back at Full Sail University for its latest set of television tapings to air on the WWE Network.

Among the action, Shayna Baszler went one-on-one with independent star and the girlfriend of The Undisputed Era’s Adam Cole, Britt Baker. According to initial reports, Baker may have been injured during the match, however she continued to compete and even was attacked after the bell by Baszler. This led many to believe the injury in question was just part of an angle, but it now appears like that is not the case.

It has now been revealed that Baker suffered a dislocated shoulder, however the speculation is that there is not a major injury in play that would require surgery. In what would seem to back that talk up, Britt took to Twitter and remarked that she will be out of action for a few weeks. Adam Cole would also comment:
