WWE Rumors: Possibility Of The Rock Wrestling At WrestleMania 35

It’s been quite a long time since we’ve seen ‘The Great One’, The Rock, compete inside the squared circle, having his last match back at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas in a quick contest where he disposed of Erick Rowan within seconds. Many fans have wondered when we might see ‘The People’s Champ’ back on WWE television, especially in the ring as he remains Hollywood’s top draw and extremely busy with movies.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there has been talk within WWE about The Rock being interested in another match, speculation being that it could take place next April when WrestleMania 35 rolls into MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Recently, WWE Superstar Elias has been making a lot of public comments regarding the multi-time WWE Champion, seemingly trying to goad The Rock into a return to the company.

As for the chances The Rock could compete at WrestleMania, it’s being said that the possibility has been discussed among WWE officials with the expectation that he will at least make an appearance at the event, schedule permitting. Rock also recently spoke with Cathy Kelley for at the red carpet premier of his latest movie ‘Skyscraper’ and commented on the chances of him wrestling again:

EA’s Take: I will forever be a fan of The Rock and personally, I’d love to see him back on WWE television in any capacity, but we know the guy is swamped. Him having a match might be a bit of a long shot, as we know that the biggest issue aside from his schedule is insurance. When he got injured at WrestleMania 29 against John Cena, it really affected his movie obligations which in turn cost studios a lot of money. In the end, it’s really all up to Rocky as he would have to clear his schedule far in advance as a bit of a fail safe just in case something were to happen to him.
