With All In now in the books, the general consensus among wrestling fans that viewed the event is that it was an overwhelming success. Not everything went according to plan, however.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the main event that saw The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi face-off against Rey Mysterio, Bandido and Rey Fenix had to be cut short due to time constraints. It’s being said that original plans for the match were for it to go 28 minutes, but the Chicago Street Fight between Joey Janela and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page earlier in the night went long.
Additionally, the match between ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll and Kazuchika Okada also went long by 12 minutes, which cut into the main event’s time. While All In was scheduled to be off the air at 10:58 EST, they were able to gain another minute to 10:59. Still, The Young Bucks were forced to quickly call for the finish to their match and the broadcast ended a mere 15 seconds later. This left the main event with only 12 minutes of action, 16 minutes shorter than initially planned.
