Cody’s First NWA World Title Defense Announced, Tickets On Sale Friday

The National Wrestling Alliance will hold its 70th Anniversary show coming up on Sunday, October 21st from the Nashville Fairgrounds, also known as the TNA Asylum (check out the full announcement here).

Now that we have a new NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion after Cody defeated Nick Aldis last Saturday, September 1st at All In, the status of the title match for the 70th Anniversary was up in the air. Over the weekend, Aldis defeated Doug Williams in the United Kingdom, earning himself the opportunity to challenge Cody for the championship at the event. Tickets are available for purchase this Friday with ringside garnering rough $70, while general admission is at $19.48.

Additionally, Cody will be making his first appearance as the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion on Sunday, September 16th at the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood television tapings:

Hollywood, CA (September 10, 2018) – Fresh off of “All In” Ring of Honor Star and newly crowned NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes will be at Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH) on Sunday September 16 (3:30P bell) at the Oceanview Pavilion in Port Hueneme, CA and you’ll have your opportunity to meet “The American Nightmare” in person during a post event photo opportunity. Admission to the television recording is free, but there is a $20.00 fee for the photo. We ask that you bring cash and you must use your own camera. The Oceanview Pavilion is located at 575 E.
