Jazz Gives Us An Update on The Lawsuit Against WWE:
Yes, I really can’t discuss that right now. There is news. It could be good or it could be bad.

Jazz Relationship With Jacquline After She Was Inducted Into The WWE Hall of Fame:
Her and I every now and then, will send a text or something to say hello and just check on one another. I congratulated her on the Hall of Fame. When I see her at Wrestlecon, of course, we take pictures every year.

Jazz Talks About Who She Would Like To Wrestle: Ronda Rousey:
I’ll go straight for the top. Straight for the vest baby.

Jazz Talks About Women Wrestling Today:
Today, would be the perfect time for me to actually bring what I brought to the industry. I don’t believe they were ready for what I had to bring to the table. Where women’s wrestling is today; it’s all about Jazz.

Jazz Talks About Intergender Wrestling:
I love it. The thing is, that is how I started; there weren’t any other women when I first started so I had to wrestle the guys. Then when I got thrown into the mix with ECW, there weren’t any girls for me to wrestle… so they threw me out there to the wolves and I had to make it work.

Jazz Talk about Racism in Wrestling:
I wouldn’t say I had experienced it. But, honestly with my ability and my way of work; if I were blonde hair and blue eyed, I would probably still be on tv now.

Jazz Talks About Wanting To Go To Impact:
If there is a company I would like to be a part of, it would be Impact. Because it’s a smaller company, there are not 100 girls in the back fighting for a spot and it seems like they are more family oriented. It reminds me of ECW. It’s not a billion dollar company but everyone there is happy and seems to love their job and love working with one another. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Jazz Talks About Her Epic Battles with Trish Stratus:
Trish and I had a phenomenal feud. I mean she was the type of person that no matter what I put on her she got her ass back up and we did our thing. She was great at taking that ass whopping.

Jazz Talks About Being Released from WWE:
They called us to the back and said, “we were wrestling too much like men.” And I thought, well that’s the end of m career. (If you were blonde hair and blue eyes, do you think you would still be with the company?) If I wasn’t in the company, I would be apart of the company. Because right now today, I still have no clue of why I was released. I’m championed one day and released the next day.

Jazz Talks About the NWA Women’s Championship:
I start defending my title in October. But, let me tell you one thing… this is going to be my legacy. I’m not going out like a _____.. no!I’m not just going to lay down and give this belt away. Mother_____ step in the ring with me for this title; they going to earn it. I’m the only person of colour to hold this title, you know that’s history right there. So, I’m not laying down, I’m busting my ass every day to show the world why I am the NWA Women’s World Champion and why I should continue to be the NWA Women’s World Champion. That’s why I’m not understanding why I wasn’t apart of All In.

Jazz Talks About Not Having An Action Figure and The Marketing of African Americans in WWE:
I don’t think they (WWE) knows how to market African Americans. I was a champion and I’ve never had an action figure.  They did the screening and scanning and said my action figure is in high demand and I never saw it.

Mitchell’s AEW Continental Classic Update! (11/27/23)

What a start to the tournament!

Did your picks win points?

The AEW Continental Classic is underway, with almost everyone competing. Check in here if you haven’t seen the winners and losers of week 1!

Here are your Gold League standings!

  • Jon Moxley: 1-0, 3 points
  • Swerve Strickland: 1-0, 3 points
  • Jay White: 1-0, 3 points
  • Rush: 0-1, 0 points
  • Mark Briscoe: 0-1, 0 points.
  • Jay Lethal: 0-1, 0 points

Here are your Blue League standings!

  • Brody King: 1-0, 3 points
  • Claudio Castagnoli: 1-0, 3 points
  • Daniel Garcia: 0-1, 0 points
  • Eddie Kingston: 0-1, 0 points
  • Bryan Danielson: Yet to Compete
  • Andrade El Idolo: Yet to Compete

My Thoughts:

Nothing too crazy, nothing too wild, this tournament only just got started. The only disappointing point is that they could not get Bryan “cleared to compete” Saturday night. Not sure how much of that is shoot given the bad eye, but this was kinda the problem of wanting him in the tournament over tons of other choices. Bryan wants to face Okada for WrestleKingdom 18, how is Bryan supposed to do that at his best if he’s also gonna be in a round robin, doing five top level matches in about as many weeks? And it takes away from Andrade being able to do something. Also a little surprised we didn’t even hear from Andrade on Saturday.

Now as we heard on Saturday, round two’s matches are set. Gold League will see Mark Briscoe VS Rush, White VS Swerve, and of course, Moxley VS Lethal. Nice variety there, a couple 0-1 guys facing off, as well as two 1-0 guys, and then 1-0 VS 0-1. No offense to Lethal, but he feels like an 0-2 going up against Moxley. Hard to call the other ones but that’s the fun of it. Meanwhile, Blue League sees Brody VS Claudio in a showdown to be 2-0, then Bryan and Andrade finally jump in, Bryan against Eddie and Andrade against Garcia. Sadly, feels like Eddie and Garcia are going 0-2, no way Tony Khan is booking Bryan and Andrade to lose their first shots.

In fact, that could be half the reason they did wait on those two, that’s almost too good for just a first round opener. But I still would’ve done it, same as NJPW does stuff like that for round robins, which this is all modeled after anyway.
