*SPOILERS* IMPACT Wrestling TV Taping In Mexico City Night One Results (9/13/18)



After their last television tapings at The Rebel Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada last month, it was time for IMPACT Wrestling’s next set to finish off the month of September.

For the first time ever, IMPACT went south of the border to Mexico City, Mexico, filming for IMPACT on Pop from the Fronton Mexico for two nights. A number of matches had been announced prior to the events with last night’s first tapings featuring Faby Apache taking on Alisha Edwards, IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries in action, plus oVe facing Brian Cage, Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix in a 6-Man Tag. Below are the results:


  • Aramis, Dragon Bane & Starfire defeated Arez, Chik Tormenta & Latigo
  • Astrolux, Freelance & Iron Kid defeated Belial, Fly Metalik & Impulso


  • Fatal 4-Way: Petey Williams defeated Jack Evans, Puma King and Trevor Lee
  • The OGz came out for a promo about their match at Bound For Glory, calling out LAX
  • Faby Apache defeated Alisha Edwards, then challenged Tessa Blanchard to a match for the Knockouts Title
  • Brian Cage, Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix vs. oVe ended in a No Contest
  • Austin Aries defeated Texano
  • LAX defeated The Desi Hit Squad
  • Allie & Kiera Hogan defeated Su Yung & The Undead Maid of Honor
  • The OGz come out for a promo and promise to end Konnan at Bound For Glory
  • LA Park defeated Eli Drake
  • Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix defeated Matt Sydal & Rich Swann, oVe ambushed Pentagon & Fenix after the match, but Brian Cage makes the save
  • Killer Kross & Moose defeated Eddie Edwards & Johnny Impact

A look at what’s happening on NXT & NXT UK!

With a lot of the WWE Universe’s focus for the weekend on Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view (see the updated card here), there are also a lot of members of the WWE Universe with their sights set on NXT TakeOver: Phoenix.

Although tonight’s episode of WWE NXT was previously recorded at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, we at The Chairshot realize not everyone likes a spoiler. With that in mind, here’s a non-spoiler preview of what’s happening on NXT beginning at 8PM EST on the WWE Network:

WWE News: Royal Rumble Kickoff Matches Revealed, Updated Card

A look at the updated lineup for Sunday’s Royal Rumble!

Now that WWE’s Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live are in the books, the WWE Universe’s attention turns to this weekend’s big events, more specifically Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Since WWE revealed a number of participants this for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match this past Sunday on Twitter, there haven’t been nearly as many updates to the card as we saw the previous couple of weeks. That’s not to say there weren’t any however, as it looks like WWE may be removing John Cena from the Men’s Royal Rumble (see the latest here), while Titus O’Neil declared his entry this past Monday on top of Alexa Bliss announcing her return for the women’s side, as well as Lacey Evans revealing she too will enter.

Tonight during SmackDown Live, WWE officially moved two matches over to the Kickoff which will now see Rusev defend the US Title against Shinsuke Nakamura, plus a Fatal 4-Way for the Cruiserweight Championship when Buddy Murphy faces Hideo Itami, Kalisto and Akira Tozawa.

Here’s a look at the updated card for Royal Rumble this Sunday, airing live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network at 7PM EST with the Kickoff beginning at 5PM and also available on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter:
