As the WWE continues to bring in more talent and pursue some of the best prospects of the independent scene, it was recently noted that the company was still interested in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and European star WALTER (read about that here).
Previously, WWE could not sign him due to his contract with Germany’s wXw, but it was also said he had a lack of interest in being away from home for long periods of time. Therefore, the thought was that the company could look to sign the Austrian to an NXT UK contract this time around, giving him the ability to be home more frequently.
WALTER was recently asked about the talk of signing with WWE by Mirror out of the United Kingdom and commented with the following:
“I don’t know if I mentioned this, but being a part of the RAW or SmackDown roster is nothing I am interested in. I don’t want to live in the US. I really like NXT though, I think it’s a great product, filled with the best talent in the world and is focused on competition in the ring, which is something I enjoy. I don’t want to say it will never happen because in wrestling things change so quick.”
