As has been noted, officials for both WWE and IMPACT Wrestling met last month in an effort to reportedly just get the two sides together in the same room.
There has been a lot of talk regarding the substance of the companies meeting with one another, mostly surrounding WWE possibly using more of IMPACT Wrestling’s video content for programming in the future. It was also noted that IMPACT Wrestling has struggled to gain mainstream exposure and revenue, with most of their income being earned through television deals. Additionally, it’s been reported that IMPACT gets very little out of their current contract with Pop TV and therefore, the promotion isn’t pleased with the deal.
Today, PWInsider reports that next week’s episode of IMPACT on Pop will be airing at its regularly scheduled time of Thursday evening at 8PM EST, however that will be the last night in that time slot. The following week on October 25th, IMPACT Wrestling will be moving to a new, permanent spot at 10PM EST.
At this time, it’s not known why IMPACT is being moved to a later time slot. However, it should be noted that the agreement between IMPACT and Pop TV will be ending later this year.
