After going through weeks and weeks of declining ratings since the post-SummerSlam episode, last week’s edition of RAW saw an increase of 2.37%.
Unlike last week though, this week’s Monday Night Football game was not a blowout. So could Monday Night RAW maintain in the ratings? The numbers are in for last night’s episode and the red brand sees an increase for the second week in a row, albeit a minor one with a 2.396 rating. This is just a mere .96% increase from last week, but still a minor victory nonetheless. Here are the last four weeks of ratings for RAW:
- September 24th: 2.349
- October 1st: 2.302
- October 8th: 2.373
- October 15th: 2.396
Last week’s RAW also was able to find its way back into the top five of the Cable Top 150 Rankings in the 18-49 demographic. This week, they were able to maintain that position while also coming in at numbers six (9PM hour) and eight (10PM hour). Here was last night’s top five:
- Monday Night Football – ESPN – 4.06
- Monday Night Kickoff – ESPN – 1.36
- SportsCenter (12AM hour) – ESPN – 1.33
- MLB Playoffs – FS1 – 0.98
- Monday Night RAW – USA Network – 0.89
EA’s Take: I may have said this last week, but you’ve got to take the wins where you can get them when it comes to the ratings this time of year. The competition will drop off somewhat once the MLB Playoffs conclude in a couple of weeks, but it’s still a case of just being able to maintain in the 18-49 demographic for WWE until January. With this week’s show though, part of me wonders if there were people tuning in specifically to see if there would be an announcement regarding Crown Jewel. There’s obviously been a lot of publicity about the event and while it’s not the kind WWE wants, people are talking which still equals interest, whether it’s positive or negative.
