After Monday Night RAW had the venue last night, WWE was back at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England for tonight’s SmackDown Live, which will of course not actually be live on the USA Network due to being in the United Kingdom.

While no matches had been announced prior to the tapings, here are the results for tonight’s show:

  • SmackDown Live begins with General Manager Paige introducing Commissioner Shane McMahon, who talks about winning the World Cup for the blue brand at Crown Jewel. They announce Daniel Bryan as the captain for the SmackDown Men’s team at Survivor Series and The Miz comes out to interrupt. He demands to be made co-captain and actually gets his wish. It’s announced that SmackDown Tag Champions The Bar will take on RAW Tag Champions AOP at Survivor Series, then Bryan and Miz reveal Shane will be a part of their team.
  • The Usos defeated The New Day to become the captains for SmackDown’s Tag Team Elimination Match at Survivor Series
  • Backstage Daniel Bryan and The Miz go over who else should be on their squad
  • SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch comes to the ring and cuts a promo on RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, then issues a challenge for a fight.
  • Becky Lynch defeated Nikki Cross w/SAnitY
  • Rey Mysterio defeated Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas to earn a spot on the SmackDown Men’s team, but gets dropped by an RKO from Randy Orton after the match
  • WWE Champion AJ Styles is out for a promo about his match at Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar
  • Charlotte Flair, Carmella, Asuka, Naomi and Sonya Deville are announced as the SmackDown Women’s team and we see Mandy Rose angry that she was snubbed
