Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart issues a statement on Dynamite Kid’s passing while Nattie pays tribute!

Although he had been out of the limelight for a number of years and become more of a controversial figure, there’s no denying the affect that ‘The Dynamite Kid’ Tom Billington has on the professional wrestling industry with his work in Japan, Canada, the WWF and anywhere else he performed.

After news of his passing broke yesterday (see the story here), numerous wrestling personalities have commented on The Dynamite Kid and what his ring career meant to them. Two names that fans would still associate with Dynamite would of course be WWE Hall Of Famer Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart and WWE Superstar Natalya (Bret’s brother and Natalya’s uncle, Davey Boy Smith, was also the cousin of Dynamite).

Bret posted the following to Facebook yesterday to honor his late friend:

There are people in life that have a ripple effect both professionally and personally. Tom “Dynamite Kid” Billington was…

As we noted earlier today, Natalya was with the RAW brand as they travel to South America starting with a Live Event in Santiago, Chile last night (check out results here). ‘The Queen Of Harts’ since posted the following to Instagram in what she called a tribute to Dynamite Kid:

WWE News: Alexa Bliss Announces She’s Entering Royal Rumble, Lacey Evans Added

WWE Alexa Bliss Money In the Bank
Two more names have been added to the Women’s Royal Rumble!

Unlike last week’s episode, tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW hasn’t been quite as packed with newsworthy items outside of the in-ring return of Braun Strowman earlier in the show (see that here and follow along with all of RAW with Mitchell’s Live Report).

As the show moved along, Alexa Bliss was set for another edition of A Moment Of Bliss featuring Nia Jax. Unfortunately for ‘Little Miss Bliss’, things went a bit haywire as they did last week when a number of other Superstars in Sunday’s Women’s Royal Rumble Match would make their way out including Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Ember Moon, Nikki Cross and The Riott Squad.

Despite a warning from Alexa, things broke down into a brawl that would spill into the backstage area. Bliss’ interview didn’t go as she planned, but she did hit the WWE Universe with some big news as she announced she would be returning to the ring in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. That wasn’t the end of it however, as newcomer Lacey Evans would come out to interrupt, proclaiming that she too would be entering the match.

WWE News: Braun Strowman Returns To Action On RAW

Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman was finally back in action on RAW!

Tonight’s edition of WWE’s Monday Night RAW, the last before Royal Rumble this Sunday, gave the WWE Universe a nice little surprise to open the action for the night (keep up with it all with Mitchell’s Live Report).

After an opening segment that saw Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Mr. McMahon, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor all exchanging words regarding Balor’s title shot against ‘The Beast Incarnate’ on Sunday, the Chairman would make a match when things got a little testy between Finn and ‘The Monster Among Men’. In his first action since undergoing surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow, Braun would go one-on-one with Balor.

If you remember, last week it was reported that Strowman was still not cleared to compete, however that has clearly now changed. As for the match, Balor would put up a tremendous fight against Braun, but with Lesnar seated at ringside it was only a matter of time before he got involved and in the end, the match would finish as a No Contest.
