Rhyno announced his retirement after losing tonight on RAW!
Tonight’s edition of WWE RAW gave viewers a very rare appearance by the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno (see the full results with Mitchell’s Live Report), we have been used quite sparingly since being moved to the red brand from SmackDown Live in April 2017.
In a backstage segment, Heath and ‘The Man Beast’ would make their way into Acting General Manager Baron Corbin’s office where they learned there was only room for one of them on the roster. Corbin would give them the opportunity for one to quit, but since neither man obliged, instead they would face-off later in the night with the loser being fired. The tag team partners were being put at odds by the Acting RAW GM and in the end, Slater wound up victorious and thus, Rhyno’s time was finished.
However, the news didn’t end there as fans in attendance have noted that during the next commercial break, Rhyno would take a microphone and announced his retirement. At this time, WWE has still yet to acknowledge Rhyno’s retirement announcement, so it remains to be seen if it is legit or not. WWE has since posted the following video after RAW, but ‘The Man Beast’ doesn’t provide any further comment:
