WrestleMania 35 weekend’s schedule will be changing once again!
While it may still seem like a far ways away from now, before we know it the WWE’s Road To WrestleMania will be kicking off next month as we head towards WrestleMania 35 on April 7th.
The event has become such a spectacle that the amount of wrestling outside of the WWE umbrella available for fans who are in town that week has become a whole other entity unto itself these days. Next year certainly will be no exception, as the presence of outside companies continues to grow with the big Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, April 6th.
The G1 Supercard’s date was interesting as it would be running head-to-head with NXT TakeOver at the nearby Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but that’s no longer a decision fans who want to attend both will be forced to make. Today, reports surfaced and have now been confirmed by WWE via a statement to PWInsider that NXT TakeOver: New York will not be happening on Saturday, April 6th, but will instead be Friday, April 5th. Instead, the WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony will be moving back to Saturday night, which had been the usual schedule before 2017:
“WWE will be going back to its previous WrestleMania Week schedule with NXT TakeOver on Friday, April 5 and the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 6. We believe this better serves our fans.”
