The Velveteen Dream reportedly caught some heat for recent tweets!
With the news this past Monday on RAW that in addition to Lars Sullivan, who has had vignettes for his arrival already airing for weeks, five other NXT Superstars will be officially be making the full-time move to either RAW or SmackDown Live as EC3, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans and Heavy Machinery will arrive in the coming weeks (see the announcement here).
Now of course every time there are some NXT call-ups, the WWE Universe weighs in with who should or shouldn’t be making the jump. One Superstar that a lot of fans have been wanting to see on the main roster is The Velveteen Dream, a man who many peg as a future mega star after catching fire in 2018. The Dream also took notice of his snub this time around and took to Twitter in an effort to get himself noticed by the company.
In the tweet which has now been deleted, The Dream called for his fans to spam WWE Twitter accounts and lobby for his arrival to either RAW or SmackDown Live. Of course, this isn’t the first time he’s trolled the company or its higher-ups after wearing his infamous “Call Me Up Vince” tights back at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
Now as mentioned, the tweet has now been deleted and according to separate reports from Ringside News and The Wrestling Observer, the company wasn’t too thrilled with it. While it’s clearly indicated that the company asked him to delete the tweet, there are no further details at this time.
