WWE Rumors: Two Mae Young Classic Competitors Possibly Getting WWE Deals

Published

on

WWE is said to be looking at signing two Mae Young Classic competitors!

For two years running now, the WWE’s Mae Young Classic has brought some of the top female stars from around the globe to a large platform on the WWE Network, as the company continues to provide more opportunities for the women.

With the winners of the first two tournaments, Kairi Sane and Toni Storm, both on their way to stardom, the company has found many other talents with the utilization of this tournament. Including Sane and Storm, there have been over twenty-five Mae Young Classic participants who were either signed to deals before or after the conclusion of each year’s tournament with the likes of Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Deonna Purrazzo, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae among the names. Now, it looks like a couple more of this year’s participants may be getting contracts as well.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is “targeting” Karen Q and Rachael Evers, also known as Rachael Ellering. For fans who regularly watch NXT, Ellering is not a new face as she’s been used multiple times on the program over the past two years and is of course the daughter of WWE Hall Of Famer Paul Ellering. Karen Q is likely most known for her work with Ring Of Honor and coming up next week, she will be getting a shot at the WOH World Title in a Four Corner Survival Match at ROH’s Final Battle pay-per-view, taking on Kelly Klein, Madison Rayne and the titleholder, Sumie Sakai (see the latest card here).
