A new report says Kenny Omega will not be going to WWE!
Since the official announcement by Kenny Omega that he will not be re-signing with New Japan Pro Wrestling (see the story here), his landing spot has become an even bigger story than it already was in the days leading up to this past weekend’s Wrestle Kingdom 13.
While there’s been no shortage of talk surrounding Omega’s suitors, as it’s been reported that ‘The Cleaner’ was made a pretty strong offer by WWE (go here for more on that) all while also having the upstart All Elite Wrestling as an option at the same time.
Today, there have been rumors that Omega has made a decision and now there’s a new report backing that up. According to BodySlam.net, a source has told them that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion will indeed be signing with AEW. Of course, nothing has been confirmed just yet, but for fans of Being The Elite, Omega choosing All Elite Wrestling was teased in today’s newest episode. At the very end of Being The Elite, we see Omega has left his phone outside of the Tokyo Dome with a timer counting down, similarly to the tease Cody and The Young Bucks used leading up the launch of AEW:
