WWE makes some changes to the Men’s & Women’s Royal Rumble Matches!
We had a lot of newsworthy items coming out of this week’s WWE television, one big story being the change made to the Universal Championship Match at Royal Rumble as Finn Balor will now challenge Brock Lesnar (see how it happened here).
With Finn now getting a title opportunity, that means that the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, as well as the Women’s, would both feature Superstars who were getting championship matches that same night as Sasha Banks had also continued to be listed as an entrant on the Women’s side.
Today, WWE has now updated the list of participants with each, removing both Balor and Banks. Currently, twelve spots remain on the Men’s side and eighteen for the Women. It should be noted that despite Naomi announcing on Twitter she would enter the match, WWE has yet to confirm her spot:
Men’s Royal Rumble
R-Truth (#30), Drew McIntyre, Xavier Woods, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy, Bobby Lashley, Dean Ambrose, Jinder Mahal, Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Andrade, Samoa Joe, Baron Corbin, Elias, Apollo Crews, Mustafa Ali, John Cena
