WWE Rumors: John Cena’s WrestleMania Opponent Said To Be Set

John Cena Point WrestleMania WWE
Who is John Cena reportedly scheduled to face at WrestleMania?

With the WWE’s Royal Rumble event just over two weeks away now (check out the updated card here), what we could see at WrestleMania 35 in April will begin to take shape after the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble winners are determined.

One male Superstar who we reportedly can count out as a possible Royal Rumble winner is the 16-time Champion John Cena, as a new report has shed some light on his possible WrestleMania plans. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cena is slated to go one-on-one with new NXT call-up Lars Sullivan, who has yet to make his main roster debut (for news on Lars reportedly leaving TV this week, go here).

EA’s Take: What was the name of that old Wiz Khalifa song? “Hold up, Hold up-Hold up”. Pretty sure it was just called “Hold Up”. Anyways, let’s hang on just a darn second here. It’s barely mid-January, so I don’t think anything with WrestleMania is set in stone right now. Plus, Cena’s got another movie coming up and has talked about how he can’t compete while filming (see that here), so do we even know he’s going to be able to get in the ring at WrestleMania? Also, this comes from the same source that just told us Sullivan had to leave RAW this week because of an anxiety attack. WWE might be more understanding of these types of issues these days, but does that mean they can trust Lars in a big spot like that now?
