Was Lars Sullivan supposed to wrestle at WWE TV this week?
It’s been since November now that we’ve seen vignettes for the WWE main roster arrival of NXT Superstar Lars Sullivan, first airing in the lead-up to Survivor Series.
Of course, we’ve yet to see ‘The Freak’ debut on television or any of the other announced NXT call-ups for that matter, however we did see that some worked dark matches (or matches for Main Event) this week. None of those involved Sullivan though, as EC3, Lacey Evans and Heavy Machinery got the nod to get into the ring. According to a new report today, Lars may have been scheduled, but had to be removed because of a health issue.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ‘The Freak’ arrived to Monday Night RAW this week and was scheduled for a possible dark match, but instead left the venue early after suffering what some are believing was an anxiety attack. Additionally, it’s being said that Lars was also scheduled for the following night’s SmackDown Live in Jacksonville, but flew back home instead.
Currently, it’s not known where this will leave Sullivan with regards to debuting on television, but it was noted that Sullivan and company officials met to iron everything out as the company is much more understanding of mental health issues due to Mauro Ranallo’s own personal struggles which have been widely documented.
