Has The Phenomenal One signed a new contract?

Report on the possibility that AJ Styles has signed a new contract with WWE!

In the current landscape, WWE suddenly finds themselves in competition for the contractual commitment of talent. This is largely thanks to All Elite Wrestling, but Ring Of Honor, Major League Wrestling, and New Japan Pro Wrestling are also stepping up to the plate to sign more talent.

Dean Ambrose has been the lead story this week, but we also have reports of Lucha Underground stars PJ Black signing with ROH and Pentagon Jr and Fenix having commitments with AEW. Now we’ve potentially had one more major shoe drop.

According to a report form Wrestling News World (via 411Mania), AJ Styles has finally inked a new WWE deal. He was rumored to be in negotiations for a while, and waiting likely did him well with the revelation of All Elite Wrestling.

I don’t like to copy and paste, but here are the terms being used to describe the contract:

  • “foreseeable future”
  • “set himself and his family up financially for the rest of his life”

If true, it’s appropriate as AJ busted his ass for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling for years, being low-balled at the end. He’s has an amazing career, and deserves the chance to cash-in at the end. I wouldn’t be shocked if we get Styles vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan once more at WrestleMania.

For what it’s worth, the man himself retweeted a report and basically denied it. He didn’t outright deny it, just said he hasn’t heard anything himself.
