Bobby Lashley defended the Intercontinental Championship along with Lio Rush against Finn Balor in the third match at WWE Elimination Chamber.
Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush dismissed Dasha Fuentes’ claims that Lio is the weak link before the match. The international announce teams (complete with the Mandarin team wearing MATCHING TIES) are working from the higher seats tonight. Lio Rush started the match but immediately tagged out to Bobby Lashley, who started against Finn Balor. Obviously, we’re making tags in this match, so technically we started with three tag team matches (of sorts).
Bobby Lashley had his power on display early on, and Lio Rush finally tagged himself in and immediately missed a Frog Splash. Lashley begged him to tag back out, selling fear over Lio costing him the Intercontinental Championship. That would come to fruition at 9:27 when Balor pinned Lio Rush after taking out Bobby Lashley on the outside, after the Coup De Grace. This is Finn’s first Intercontinental Championship.
Lashley teased turning on Rush, then finally did it, flattening him and walking out on his own.
