King: How Much Does Trish Stratus Have Left In The Tank?

Could the rumored Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair match for WWE SummerSlam lead to bigger things for the Hall Of Famer?

Could the rumored Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair match for WWE SummerSlam lead to bigger things for the Hall Of Famer?

On July 23rd Pro Wrestling Sheet shared incredible news that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was in talks with the company over a potential match against a current superstar, at this year’s SummerSlam which takes place in her hometown of Toronto.

Later that evening on SmackDown Live the entitled self-proclaimed ‘Queen’ Charlotte Flair was fuming after, not being advertised for the biggest party of the summer.

She then stated that she was going to be on the event and that her match would outshine the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match (Bayley vs. Ember Moon). She even went as far to dub herself as the “Queen of all of ERAS of Women’s Wrestling” on social media following SmackDown Live.

I believe I speak for most of the WWE Universe, as we all wondered what she meant? What match would be bigger than the women’s championship? I think we found our answer!

Yesterday WWE Hall of Famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler lit the world of professional wrestling on fire; when he sent out a tweet that on this Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live he will be hosting a special ‘King’s Court’ in his hometown of Memphis, TN, with none other than 7-Time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus!

On this past week’s Raw Reunion, where many WWE Legends and Hall of Famers made appearances throughout the three-hour broadcast but Stratus was missing. Which was extremely odd since Stratus and her on-screen nemesis Lita played an integral role in the Women’s Evolution, long before there was The Four-Horse-Women (Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Flair).

The last time we witnessed the Hall of Famer competing in the squared circle was at this past year’s Inaugural Evolution pay-per-view, where Stratus and Lita teamed up to take on Mickie James and Alicia Fox with (Alexa Bliss who was not medically cleared to compete).

On top of the Flair/Stratus match, will we witness another tease for the match that never happened? Not only that but there are a plethora of other superstars on the current Raw and SmackDown Live roster that, would kill for the opportunity to go one-on-one with one of the biggest pioneers in WWE! Dare I say maybe Stratus has one more WWE Women’s Title run in her?
