Team Lorcan came out on top in the big multi-man match last week, but what will the fallout be for the Cruiserweight Division?

Lucha House Party vs Ariya Daivari

This is turning out to be a surprisingly good angle. I like the idea of Daivari stirring the pot with Lucha House Party. Plus, this match was REALLY good. Kalisto is a great wrestler, but it sometimes feel like that gets overshadowed by the party gimmick. I was a little disappointed by Kalisto losing, but I have a feeling that there’s a more long-term story in this and I’m really interested to see where it goes.

The Singh Brothers

I’ve made not secret about the fact that I love the Singh Brothers, but I’ve been very frustrated by how their run in 205 Live has been going. It just feels like WWE doesn’t know what to do with them besides being lackeys or funny guys who lose all the time. I hope that whatever the Singhs do on their time off means a big push for them in the end.

Oney Lorcan vs Humberto Carrillo

I’m not really surprised that Lorcan and Carrillo being the last men standing last week equaled a title shot. I am surprised that Drake Maverick decided against a Triple Threat match and decided to have Lorcan and Carrillo duke it out for the #1 Contendership.

The match was REALLY good, but my issue with Carrillo’s lack of charisma is still there. The guy has TONS of talent and a great look, but I just don’t feel anything when I watch him wrestle, good or bad and it’s off-putting. I want to like him and it seems like WWE is doing everything they can to make the fans like him, but I just don’t feel it.

All that said, I’m not upset Carrillo won, I don’t think he’ll be the guy to beat Gulak, they seemed to be saving that win for someone important, but I think it’ll be a good match. However, I’m sick of Gulak’s gimmick. The white guy talking down to a person of color is too much like listening to real life politics and it’s not something I want to deal with when I watch wrestling. We’ll see if Carrillo is up for the task at Clash of Champions.

That’s it for Tiffany’s VERY belated 205 Takes! Stay tuned for NXT coverages.
