Chris King is analyzing The Brian Kendrick’s heel turn on this week’s episode of 205 Live, and what it means for his future.

After weeks of pent-up frustration with The Extraordinary Gentleman Jack Gallagher, The Brian Kendrick showed his true colors on this week’s episode of 205 Live. This bitterness goes all the way back to October when Kendrick was viciously attacked by Gallagher and Drew Gulak claiming he was “the weakest link” of the group.A few weeks later, Kendrick returned to save his friend Akira Tozawa from a two-on-one attack from his former allies.

On the December 19, 2018, episode of 205 Live, Kendrick and Tozawa defeated Gallagher and Gulak in a Street Fight.

Fast forward to July 2019, as Kendrick came to the aid of Tozawa after weeks of losing to the hands of The Singh Brothers helped his friend gain an impressive victory. The following week the two friends joined forces and defeated Samir and Sunil Singh in a tag team match.

On the August 30, 2019, episode of 205 Live, during the Five-on-Five Captain’s Challenge Tozawa was eliminated and in a backstage segment, Kendrick blamed it on his former rival Gallagher. Two weeks later,  Kendrick was seething and ready for a fight so, he and Tozawa faced an enhancement team. Following their quick win, Kendrick grabbed a mic and issued a heated tag team challenge to Gallagher and a partner of his choosing.

What Kendrick wasn’t expecting, was the 205 Live debut of the Japanese sensation KUSHIDA as Gallagher’s partner. Kendrick was absolutely livid after their loss to Gallagher and KUSHIDA.

On this week’s episode of 205 Live, Kendrick finally got his one-on-one match with Gallagher. After Kendrick couldn’t put The Gentleman away he viciously attacked him with a kendo stick. After Tozawa went to check on Gallagher, Kendrick blasted his friend in the back.

I can see Kendrick apologizing to Tozawa for allowing his pent-up frustrations to get the best of him, and maybe that will last for a little while. I am predicting that Kendrick versus Tozawa is on the horizon for the friends and soon to be rivals. Perhaps, Kendrick’s new aggressive character will catapult him back into contention for the Cruiserweight Championship!
