Jordan Myles has a date with history, but is he ready to be Undisputed?
I was kind of bummed that Kona Reeves got a North American Title shot when Roderick Strong hasn’t gotten the one-on-one he earned and Kona Reeves is such a random choice. However, I LOVED Strong’s promo. Hope they took the upholstery off before burning that couch. Polyester fumes are nothing to joke about.
I’m not surprised Adam Cole beat Jordan Myles, I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it and how great the match was. I didn’t like the decision to have Myles cash in his contract so soon since it seemed inevitable that he would lose, but Cole helped him show what a star in the making he is.
I LOVE Io Shirai vs Candice LeRae. Their feud got some some more traction this week with Shirai getting the jump on LeRae with that damned kendo stick this week. Hopefully, we’ll get more next week.
I loved the Rhea Ripley vignette. I wish WWE would do this when people debut on the main roster so the fans get an idea of what they’re getting. Also, I’m super excited about the face off/match between Ripley and Shayna Baszler next week.
Taynara Conti, who hasn’t been on NXT TV since the early summer was in action against Bianca Belair. I was really ‘eh’ about this match. I don’t really have an opinion about Conti and I don’t like Belair, so I really didn’t care who won.
Wait, if there’s going to be a triple threat match to decide who faces Shayna Baszler, why are she and Rhea Ripley feuding? That makes no sense, BUT at least it looks like Mia Yim is still in the title picture.
Breezango vs Chase Parker and Matt Martel
So Fashion Police are back, complete with the male stripper outfits. I’m not sure why one of their opponents insisted on keeping his hands raised as he walked to the ring, but that’s okay. Also, the same guy tried to flex his pecs without much success. The match was more funny than anything else since Fandango is really leaning in to the stripper gimmick.
That’s it for Tiffany’s NXT Takes! Tune in Monday for RAW coverage.
