Jon Moxley VS Alex Reynolds w/ John Silver!

The Maniac opens the night! Will this be as quick as his win over Michael Nakazawa?

The bell rings and Moxley KNEES Reynolds down! Underhooks, PARADIGM SHIFT! Cover, Moxley wins!!

Winner: Jon Moxley, by pinfall

QUICKER! Moxley dumps Reynolds out but tag partner John Silver hops in, only to get his own PARADIGM SHIFT! Moxley could’ve just won two matches with that. If this doesn’t concern Le Champion’s chances of holding onto the championship, what will?

But speaking of, here comes Chris Jericho! And the Inner Circle is in tow to boot! Moxley shows no fear as all five men head down the ramp and surround the ring. Ortiz is at the ramp, Sammy Guevara takes camera side, Santana takes opposite Ortiz, and Jake Hager takes opposite Sammy. Jericho has a mic in one hand and then something else in the other. Jericho wants Moxley to take it easy as he enters the ring. Fans want to Moxley “f him up,” but Jericho tells them to “watch your language!” Jericho then tells Moxley that if they were going to attack, they would’ve already. This is just a chat between two gentlemen. The Inner Circle is impressed with Moxley, who has become a top guy for sure.

But there is a long history here, right? Jericho remembers over a decade ago, Moxley asked him for some advice. The leather jacket, Kurt Cobain bowl cut. Moxley wanted to know how to become a star, and he did just that. And then they became “adversaries.” They beat the “living sh*t out of each other.” Moxley threw Jericho onto thumbtacks, tore up his property, Jericho retaliated with a potted plant and put him in the hospital, but that taught Moxley how to become a main eventer, a champion. Years later, when Moxley needed to reignite his passion for this business, he called Jericho. Jericho helped Moxley through those waters and into AEW. Fans do appreciate that.

Moxley repaid Jericho by attacking him at All Out, and that’s fine! That’s okay! It showed us Moxley still had that chip on his shoulder and that he was still a winner. But Moxley has only started to realize his importance and only started to harness that power. Once again, Moxley needs Jericho. Can Moxley imagine–shut up, fans–what it would be like if Hager, Santana, Ortiz, Guevara, Jericho and Moxley were together? That is why Jericho wants to ask Moxley to join the Inner Circle! Fans say, “NO! NO!” but Jericho does offer Moxley a T-shirt. Moxley doesn’t have to answer here, he can talk it over with his lovely wife and mother during the holidays. They’ll be waiting in the New Year. Le Champion and Mr. Unscripted Violence taking over AEW is “a true paradigm shift.” Think hard, choose wisely, and when Moxley’s ready, they’ll be waiting.

Jericho puts the shirt on Moxley’s shoulder, and the Inner Circle takes their leave. What will Moxley’s answer be? “We’ll be waiting for you, brother.”

AEW reviews what led to tonight’s Texas Street Fight.

Santana threw trash cans over but he also threw down the challenge. The games were over, and Proud ‘n’ Powerful promised to take Matt and Nick Jackson down the block! Texas Street Fight, “let’s get it! Get with it or get run down!” AEW’s Excalibur says PNP has no idea what they’ve just done. Excalibur has known the Bucks and called Bucks matches for 14 years, seeing them do “some of the craziest sh*t both inside and outside of a professional wrestling ring.” Having no rules only makes them go crazier. Guerrilla warfare tag team matches are practically their specialty. And this Texas Street Fight is going to be something special. Who walks out of Garland and who is stretchered out?

Cody Rhodes & QT Marshall VS The Butcher & The Blade w/ The Bunny!

As MJF revealed online, he was the mastermind behind bringing Braxton Sutter and Andy Williams out of the shadows and into the light of Dynamite! With Allie’s dark side showing itself and being in the corner of this devious duo, will they “cut the head of the snake” that is the American Nightmare? Or will God’s Gift to Wrestling help save Cody’s skin?

The teams sort out and QT starts against The Blade. QT is nervous, so Cody tags in quick. Cody circles with Williams and tie up. They go around, Cody puts Williams in a corner but Williams turns it around. Williams lets up, Cody dodges his sucker punch and dropkicks him into the corner! Cody climbs up to rain down right hands, all the way up to 5. Cody wants the elbow but Williams pushes him away and kicks low. Williams headlocks, Cody powers out but Williams runs Cody over. Things speed up, Cody hurdles and hits the spinning powerslam! Cover, ONE, and Williams gets away. Fans boo as Blade tags in Butcher! QT says he can take on Sutter, and fans believe in him! Tag to QT, and QT ties up with Sutter.

Sutter powers QT to a corner, but QT keeps his confidence. QT runs but gets run over, but he comes back with an uppercut! QT whips but Sutter reverses. QT dodges, but Allie takes a swipe! Tag to Williams, and Williams FLIES to wipe QT out! The Bunny blows a kiss before Williams puts QT in the ring. AEW goes to picture in picture as Williams runs into QT’s elbow. QT tags Cody, and Cody waistlocks to a headlock on Williams. Williams powers out, Cody dodges, slides out, and gets himself a bottle of water to take a sip. Sutter protests, but this keeps the ref from seeing Cody SPIT the water in Williams’s face! Cody gets in and spins Williams around, but Williams snapmares free of the dragon sleeper. Cody comes back with a bulldog! Tag to QT, Cody wrenches and QT drops ax handles on the arm!

QT throws hands on Williams then whips. Sutter tags in and Williams dodges and denies the dropkick! Sutter dead lift gut wrenches, Williams dropkick kickstarts the suplex! Williams hits COdy for good measure as Sutter covers, TWO! Sutter drags QT up, whips him in to the corner hard, and then drags QT into the corner. The Butcher CHOPS QT then tags the Blade. Blade CHOPS QT just as hard! Snapmare and a swift kick to the back! Williams circles QT, brings him up, and whips him to ropes for a LARIAT! Williams toys with QT and brings him up again, tag to Sutter. Leg drop side walk slam combo! Cover, TWO! QT shows he’s tough but Sutter toys with him again. Stutter throws haymakers and stomps then tags Williams back in.

Williams stalks QT on the ropes, taunts Cody, then stomps QT down. AEW returns to single picture as Williams bites QT! Williams throws QT out hard, but the ref keeps Cody back. Allie gets cheap shots in! Williams goes out to fetch and CHOP QT again! Williams stays between QT and Cody, then brings him up, only to get a jawbreaker! QT crawls but Williams catches him first, QT enziguris! QT goes the wrong way, Sutter runs over but QT dumps him out! Cody reaches, but Sutter trips him up! Williams BOOTS QT in the corner, Sutter CHOPS and whips  QT into Sutter’s BIG back drop! Cover, TWO!! QT survives but The Butcher locks on a high armlock. QT endures as fans rally up. QT throws body shots but Sutter clubs him back. Sutter whips, QT handsprings?! And ENZIGURIS!

Fans rally, Sutter tags Williams, but QT dodges the Blade’s splash! QT crawls and tags in Cody! Fans go wild as Cody rallies on the Butcher and the Blade! Boots and clotheslines, Rhodes Uppercut! Williams ducks a lariat and back suplexes, but Cody lands on his feet to DISASTER KICK Sutter! Cody boots Williams, climbs up top, SUPER CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO!! Williams survives but Cody grits his teeth. Fans rally up and Cody talks off the weight belt to toss it to the fans! A man almost falls just reaching out for it! Cody aims at Williams, goes up, TRIANGLE CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Cody drags Williams around, “WOO~!” Figure Four denied, Cody is on the ropes and Allie claws Cody’s face! But QT tags in!

QT gets Cody clear of Williams’s attack, pop-up FAST BALL! That right hand rocks Williams, and QT hits a SASUKE SPECIAL!? It wasn’t the cleanest, but it did what it had to! QT puts Williams in, Cody hits a Rhodes Pele! QT grabs Williams now, CROSS RHODES?! Cody is rather shocked to see that! Cody also gets an assist from QT to DIVE out onto Sutter! QT drags Williams to the drop zone, goes up top, and CORKSCREW SENTONS! Cover, TWO!?! Williams survives and QT can’t believe it! Time is running out and Sutter trips up Cody on the apron! And now, The Butcher and The Blade have QT all alone. But QT throws hands and CHOPS on them! Fans are all fired up but Sutter shoves QT into a STUNNER! LARIAT follows up! And to end it, suplex to knees, the Chopping Block! Cover, Butcher and Blade win!

Winners: The Butcher & The Blade, Williams by pinfall

QT shocked everyone putting up that good of a fight, but it wasn’t good enough. While they didn’t chop down Cody, is this only the beginning of what MJF’s muscle will do to him?

Wait, what is Darby Allin doing barging down the ramp? Darby goes to Cody, and offers him a hand? Cody takes it, and he might have a new ally in this fight! Will the Undead Daredevil be just the thing for Cody to thwart MJF?

While AEW is picture in picture, Cody shows respect to QT, and so does the crowd. Is this just the beginning for QT to get back on track in his career?

The Inner Circle prepares for the Texas Street Fight.

Santana straps up his gloves while Ortiz and Sammy Guevara test out cookie sheets and trash can lids for optimal damage dealt. Naturally, trash cans are a given choice. Santana is ice cold while Ortiz is fired up.

The Young Bucks also prepare.

Brandon Cutler gets them their jackets and wishes them luck. They huddle up, will Matt and Nick Jackson be able to survive what the Proud ‘n’ Powerful have in store for them?

MJF is here!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has Wardlow in tow as he heads to the ring. “Cut my music!” MJF tells the “cord boy” security guard to get in the ring. MJF asks him about how he was laughing when Cody mocked MJF’s version of the Cross Rhodes. Was that not the case? Well all is forgiven, because all he has to do is… #KissTheRing. He does! And then Wardlow stands in his way, and MJF gives the man his #DoubleCross Cross Rhodes! That looked “pretty damn good” to MJF! What do the white trash hicks in Texas think? They boo.

MJF moves on to address Cody Rhodes. Fans curse so loud, the censors have to mute audio for a moment. MJF says that Cody is “without a shadow of a doubt, one of the greatest wrestlers in this generation. And with a microphone,” Cody is “absolutely untouchable.” With the exception of one man. Of all the people to talk about, Cody talked about that one man? To quote a legend, “You do not throw rocks at a man with a machine gun. And when my mouth opens, these bullets don’t miss.” MJF heard about that “business proposal,” it was cute. But he doesn’t need that crap truck or his money. Unlike the audience here, MJF has money to last a lifetime. What MJF wants is for Cody to suffer.

Though one line that hurt was the “knock-off Chris Jericho” comment. Fans thought that was funny, huh? What an amazing diss! Cody must’ve stayed up late working hard on that one. Is it because of the scarf? The “fake” one? Well let’s go with that word! Because when MJF thinks of “fake,” he thinks of Cody. The platinum blonde hair that looks like cat piss. Those Gary Busey teeth you could land a helicopter on. All those times Cody claims to care about the fans. But what is very real, is that “sh*tty little lisp!” Suffering succotash, did MJF offend him? Is Cody going to fire MJF? How about they fire MJF? Oh wait, he won’t! The one thing Cody wants most is to get after MJF. Plus, he’d be letting down the fans he claims to care about. What fans want is to see this fight! Fans want to see MJF VS Cody, right?! “YES! YES!” Guess what?! “YOU’RE ON!!”

But… There are some stipulations. MJF will tell Cody those stipulations, but not here in “Honkyville, USA.” Fans boo but MJF just mocks them back as they call him “a**hole.” MJF says we learn these stipulations in Jacksonville, the New Year’s Dynamite episode. And really listen closely. Cody must be foaming at the mouth, but remember this: “I’m in control now, not you. Because I’m better than you, and you know it!” MJF puts the mic down and soaks up the heat as he heads out with Wardlow. What will MJF make Cody do in the year 2020?

Alex Reynolds sulks in his hotel room.

He is still singing from the loss he and John Silver suffered on AEW Dark. But the commercial on the hotel cable, the man in it looks familiar… “Tired of losing all the time? Join our Loyalty Program.” Go to www.JoinDarkOrder.com and find out how. Reynolds figures there’s no harm in checking it out. “Aren’t you tired of being a jobber yet, Alex?” W-What…? Maybe he imagined that. “Hey.” Knock knock, he’s talking to you. Whoa, what?! Really? Yes, Alex.  The Dark Order has been watching the Beaver Boys with great interest. It isn’t going how they thought it would, huh? Well, no, but- Enough excuses, Alex! Stop losing, start winning. There is strength in numbers. All you have to do is #JoinDarkOrder. Evil Uno!?

In need of a late night snack? Choose something from their After Dark menu. John Silver returns, and Alex is still talking to the TV. Who is he talking to? “I dunno, man. I dunno.” Is Alex Reynolds ready to join the Dark Order? Are you?

They go shoulder to shoulder and Swole bends Emi back with one arm! But Emi fights her way up, only for Swole to whip. Emi reverses, Swole goes up and over and throws a forearm. Swole snapmares and cartwheels with Emi, but fakes her out on the mule kick. Emi puts her guard down, mule KICK! Cover, TWO! Swole keeps on Emi but Emi ear claps! Emi wrenches the hair to snapmare with the dreads! Emi laughs as she tosses Swole by her hair again!

Emi grabs hair so BOP! Swole whips but Emi drop toeholds and claws Swole’s back! Emi hooks the legs, fans rally for Swole but Emi grabs the arms. Emi sings, and pulls Swole up into the Romero Special surfboard! And then rolling surfboard! Then a chinlock while elevated, and a toss! Fans cheer, Emi can still hit the high notes. Emi brings Swole up and wrenches and CHOPS her off her feet! AEW goes picture in picture as Emi drags Swole back up, to CHOP down again!

Emi keeps bringing Swole up to CHOP her down again, and then pulls hair to get the grounded cobra twist. Emi uses a braid as her new Freddy Mercury mustache. Emi then clamps on the chinlock and clubs Swole down. Emi drags Swole to a corner and CHOPS her again! And then a little boom boom CHOP! Boom boom CHOP! We will, we will, CHOP you! But then Swole clobbers Emi in return! Emi comes back and whips but Swole stops herself to throw forearms. Swole whips Emi to a corner, then LARIATS Emi down on the rebound! Both women are down but fans fire up. A standing count begins and Swole sits up in a daze. Emi follows, and catches Swole’s clothesline to a COMPLETE SHOT! Swole is down as AEW goes to break.

AEW returns and Swole punches away on Emi. Emi ducks the roundhouse and jumps over the sweep, but the headbutt hits! Both women stagger, Swole runs in corner to corner for the uppercut! Swole keeps moving, wheelbarrow to COMPLETE SHOT! And a big running uppercut! Cover, TWO!! Emi barely escapes and Swole can’t believe it! Swole drags Emi back up, suplexes, but Emi blocks to get a dragon sleeper, Twist ‘n’ Shout! Boom boom clap, boom boom clap, Emi is tuning up the band. Emi runs in corner to corner, crossbody in the corner! Underhooks, Tiger BACKBREAKER! Swole writhes but Emi isn’t done with her. Emi has her mic stand but the referee stops her from using it. The two fight over the stand, Swole gets Emi in a waistlock. Emi standing switches and uses the stand as part of the cobra twist!

Emi sings but the referee takes the stand away. Emi lets Swole go to argue and pout at the ref, but Swole runs over. Emi blocks Swole’s kick, but Swole snatches the mic stand, and as Emi throws her leg down, Swole does the splits! And breaks it down like James Brown! Swole feels good, and then she dodges Emi to SPEAR Emi down! Fans fire up with Swole as she runs corner to corner, but Emi puts her on the apron. Swole enziguris back! And then slingshots, but into a draping underhooks! Another backbreaker! Emi goes up top, Vader Elbow! Cover, TWO!! Swole survives and Emi grows frustrated. Emi puts Swole back in the drop zone and climbs up higher, for a MOONSAULT! But it FLOPS! Swole misses her boot but fires forearms and an uppercut! Emi fights back with a strike fest and a CHOP! Emi runs, into a BOOT! Cover, TWO!?!

Fans are loving this match but Swole works on a new plan. Time is running down but Swole waistlocks to wristlock, ripcord but the discus misses. Back elbow from Emi, cover, TWO! Emi aims, runs in, but Swole spins her out, DIRTY DANCING DISCUS! Cover, Swole wins!!

Winner: Big Swole, by pinfall

Backstage interview with PAC.

The Bastard is not in a good mood, but when isn’t he? “I came to this company for one reason: opportunity.” Yet he has faced nothing but injustice. He has put up dominating performance after dominating performance, yet has gotten “pittance” in return. AEW will answer for this! “Give me my rubber match or I promise I will not be held accountable for what I do next.” Pac wants another fight with Kenny Omega! When and where will he get it?

Hangman Page & Kenny Omega VS Shawn Spears & Kip Sabian w/ Penelope Ford!

Despite leaving The Elite, the Problem Solver once again tags with the Best Bout Machine, and they’re up against one bad Chair Man, and a Superbad boy. Will Page and Omega continue to be an elite combination? Or has Spears found #PERFECT10N in a tag team partner?

A win is a win, and Omega doesn’t seem to mind. Hangman looks deadly serious, will he take that dead shot aim towards a career-defining opportunity?

Brandi Rhodes speaks.

“Go on, mock me. Post about me. But what does AEW actually look like without me? A kids’ gymnastics meet?” Take the Women’s Champion, Riho, for example. Has Riho somehow gotten so small that we can’t see her anymore? We haven’t seen her around to do anything, much less defend that title. Perhaps Riho is just hiding. And then the favorite doctor, Britt Baker. Take a shot every time she mentions her boyfriend, and you’ll be down for the count quicker than Leva Bates. Not to be a hypocrite, Brandi does reference Cody often, but they’ve been married 7 years. Baker is just a groupie!

Kris Statlander still has a place in the Nightmare Collective, and Brandi isn’t the only one willing to greet her with open arms. Brandi, Awesome Kong, newest recruit, Melanie Cruise, “the family is almost complete.” They’re just waiting for the alien to come home. But who is this new face? “No, not yet.” We do not get to see the other newest recruit’s face. Will Statlander accept the offer? Who is this mysterious man? And who else will find themselves confronted by the Collective?

Chris Jericho joins commentary!

He tells Excalibur and Tony Schiavone to leave so that he and Jake Hager have a place to sit. They join good ol’ JR and Jericho defends that he does know what “lexicon” means. It means “a list of names,” and it stems from the Greek lexus, which itself means “words.” Excalibur can shut up now. The only man on commentary that matters is Jim Ross!

Luchasaurus w/ Jurassic Express VS Sammy Guevara!

The man-dino and the Spanish God face off 1v1 for the first time! Will Jurassic Express score a big win over the Inner Circle?

Triangle dropkick a la Jericho himself! Sammy builds speed to FLY! The tornillo tope conjilo hits!

Choke grip and lift, but Sammy flips out to heel kick! And jumping knee! AEW returns to single picture as Sammy ducks a kick to enziguri back! Sammy runs, dodges, SUPERKICK! Luchasaurus whips Sammy, pops him up, but gets a DDT for it!

Sammy drags himself up as fans rally up. Sammy gets to a corner, heads up top but slowly, and he says a prayer before he MOONSAULTS! Luchasaurus moves, but Sammy lands on his feet! Sammy standing moonsaults but Luchassaurus evades again. Sammy again lands on his feet, and standing Shooting Stars! Into Luchasaurus’s grip! Luchasaurus brings Sammy up, Sammy slips out, but Luchasaurus kicks his clothesline away. Question mark roundhouse! TAIL WHIP! Choke grip, gut wrench, FACEBUSTER! Cover, Luchasaurus wins!

Winner: Luchasaurus, by pinfall

The Inner Circle attacks! Jericho and Jake Hager beat Luchasaurus down but Jungle Boy attacks Jericho! JB takes the fight to Le Champion a week early! Jericho throws JB out but JB skins the cat, to HURICANRANA! Cover, JB “wins”! Jurassic Express bails out and leaves the Inner Circle seething! That quick pin is all it takes! Will JB earn the biggest win in his young career?

Jericho throws a tantrum, again. “That didn’t count! That didn’t count!” He vows it won’t happen next week, but can Jericho be so sure?

AEW World Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Texas Street Fight: The Young Bucks VS Proud ‘n’ Powerful!

As if such a match between two teams with as heated a grudge as they have wasn’t enough, the stakes are raised when this is to determine who faces SoCal Uncensored next week! Who survives to then go for the gold?

But Santana and Ortiz don’t even wait for a bell or their own entrance music, they attack as the confetti cannons go off! They and Sammy Guevara stomp and beat down the Bucks! But Brandon Cutler comes out to even the numbers! He gets beat down for it, and Sammy uses the sock-and-baseball blackjack to smack the Bucks around. That’s because PNP take Cutler and DOUBLE POWERBOMB him though the stage! You would think AEW would look into redesigning the stage… But either way, Sammy, Santana and Ortiz beat the Bucks down more, and send Matt FLYING off onto security!

Ortiz brings out a table and Sammy helps him set it up! Santana keeps Nick down by standing on Nick’s head. This match is underway by default, and it is falls count anywhere on top of everything else. And the Inner Circle wants to do some serious damage. Santana climbs up girders but Matt yanks him off! Ortiz is on the table now, and now Nick climbs up! Nick is on top of the entry way, fans are freaking out, SUPER SWANTON through the table!! Cover, TWO!! Ortiz survives, and fans are still losing their minds.

Matt sees Santana and runs down to clothesline! Nick follows, alley-oop dropkick! SoCal Uncensored watches in the front row to watch this up close, and with popcorn. Mat turns around to get a BOOT from Santana! Santana talks smack to SCU’s Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian, but Matt turns Santana around for haymakers. Matt and Santana brawl around the way and into the ring while Nick selects tables. Matt bumps Santana on buckles and Nick joins in. They have their pick of the equipment, and they both lift Santana up in a crucifix. Santana slips out, Ortiz can be spotted hobbling down the ramp, but the “mad ball” sock just misses reaching Santana! Santana fights his way through the Bucks to get to it, and starts SMACKING away!

Ortiz puts a trash can lid, the trash can itself, a kendo stick and more into the ring. PNP puts the can around Nick and Ortiz SMACKS it with the mad ball! Santana SMACKS it with the kendo stick! SMACK, SMACK, SMACK! Wait, Matt comes in wearing a Dallas Cowboys football helmet? The helmet hurts Santana’s hand when he punches! And it protects from the mad ball! But Santana kicks low, the helmet doesn’t protect that. PNP double whips, but Matt SPEARS them both! Fans fire up for that sack! Matt uses the helmet as a weapon now, but it gets taken away and used on him! Santana being from New York, he SPITS on the Cowboys helmet then throws it down. But he turns around into the Northern Lights! Locomotion! Northern Lights out and over through a table! Matt runs at Ortiz but is tossed out, through a table! Ortiz DIVES at Nick, and they go through a table! Wreckage everywhere and fans are loving “A E DUB! A E DUB!” as AEW goes picture in picture.

Ortiz is up first, and has a kendo stick! He SMACKS away on Nick’s back! Then he SMACKS Matt’s back! Ortiz moves table wreckage out of the way before putting Matt in the ring. Santana can be seen stirring while Ortiz sets up a new table. Ortiz gets up on the apron and drags Matt over. Ortiz claws Matt’s back, then hops up to lift. Matt resists the suplex and punches Ortiz down. Santana returns, O’Connor roll, and he dodges while Ortiz SPINE BUSTERS Matt down! Leap frog senton! LIONSAULT! They must’ve gotten that one from Jericho. Cover, TWO!! Matt survives but Nick returns to be tossed right into buckles! Ortiz SMACKS Nick with the trash can lid, then SMACKS Matt with it! Santana uses the cookie sheet to jab and SMACK Nick, too.

PNP puts Nick on the top rope, climbs up to join him, but Matt SMACKS them both with the trash can! AEW returns to single picture and Santana takes a tumble. Nick shoves Ortiz down, and Matt BASHES him with the can! The can is placed on Ortiz, Matt climbs up and LEAPS out onto Santana! Nick adjusts, aims at Ortiz, FULL METAL 450!! Cover, but Hager yanks the ref out! No disqualifications, but not cool. Nick goes out to the apron, but Hager baits him in, the Penalty Kick hits the referee! It’s a hard Knox life, isn’t it? Hager trips Nick up, too! But here comes DUSTIN RHODES! Dustin clobbers and clubs Hager! Hager brawls with Dustin on the ramp, and they spill over to behind commentary.

The Bucks have Ortiz, buckle bomb enziguri combo! Matt brings Santana up for Nick to cookie sheet SMASH! Fans fire up as Matt brings Ortiz up and Nick climbs. Fireman’s carry, rolling senton! More Bang, for your BUCK! Cover, but there’s no ref to count! The Bucks would’ve won by now! Here comes Aubrey to count, TWO!! If only she was faster on her running! But the Bucks drag Ortiz up, gut wrench, but Santana dropkicks Nick through the table! Matt fires off haymakers to fight PNP off, fans fire up with him, but that superkick is blocked! Charlie horse! Ortiz has the already wrecked can and sets it down. Ortiz brings Matt up, Santana climbs up, STREET SWEEPER onto the can! Cover, but Nick has to yank Aubrey out! All is fair in love and street fights.

Ortiz protests but Santana focuses on bringing in new equipment. He gets a few steel chairs, then puts Nick in. Ortiz uses the mad ball to beat Nick down again and again, then Santana gets a table. Ortiz sits the chairs up near a corner, then brings Nick over. Another lift, but Nick fights back! Santana is up top, but Matt shoves Santana down, through a table! Nick Shining Wizards, roundhouses, forearms and bulldogs on the chairs! Matt gets in, the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK Ortiz down! Matt grabs a chair and fans fire up for the FULL METAL SUPERKICK! The chairs are put down and the Bucks vow to end it! Gut wrench, Nick springboards, FULL METAL MELTZER!! Cover, The Bucks win!

Winners: The Young Bucks, Matt Jackson by pinfall; NEW #1 Contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships

Brutal to say the least, but these were the lengths both teams were willing to go to in order to settle their score. But now the Bucks are headed for a shot at the tag team titles! SCU join the Bucks in the ring to congratulate them, but also to hold the belts up. Will Corpus Christi be the site of a golden classic?

My Thoughts:

Man what a great episode, and it was basically a go-home to the 12/18/19 episode. So much of this was for the forwarding of story, and it was all really good, pretty much no complaints. Moxley getting another super fast win was pretty great, and it even feeds into Reynolds’s vignette with the Dark Order spokesperson. The Inner Circle trying to recruit Moxley is a pretty great move, and a classic one at that. The Heels don’t want to fight Moxley, so they’ll make him one of the team. But I’m pretty sure Moxley won’t actually join them, and I bet we get an answer next week as opposed to waiting until New Year’s Day. He might even help Jungle Boy win. Luchasaurus VS Sammy Guevara was a pretty fun match, and of course a brawl breaks out. JB gets an unofficial pin, and only gets 10 minutes with Jericho next week, not a second more. Again, I would love if Moxley helps JB win, though that would mean JB gets a claim to the title in his own right. We’ll have to wait and see.

Cody & QT VS Butcher & Blade was a great tag match, and a great showing for QT as he gets back into wrestling full time. QT comes out of this looking like a hero, even though he does lose. MJF made them his mercenaries, I wonder if we see them more closely involved with him later on. MJF himself has a pretty good promo segment, but it really just sets up for stuff after the holidays. I wonder if MJF is going to make Cody have to fight Wardlow, Sutter and Williams in a gauntlet match in order to get at him. Cody also has Darby Allin on his side now, so maybe Allin keeps an eye on whoever is ringside so they don’t screw Cody over. I like what’s developing for Omega and Hangman as a team, despite Hangman saying he’s not in The Elite anymore. Taking the final moment suggests there could be tension between Omega and Hangman in the near future, and a match between them would be a great element to Hangman’s story.

PAC also wants after Omega, and I do see his point of being cheated opportunities. He was #1 contender for a moment, but mostly because of story demands, Pac didn’t get his shot before being moved down a spot. Pac VS Omega III will be another great match, and that should be a contender’s match to face whoever comes out of the more than likely Jericho VS Moxley title match. I’m also surprised at certain choices for contender’s matches. Big Swole VS Emi Sakura was a great match, and a big win for the newest signee. Swole takes down the #3 woman, but I’m surprised Kris Statlander is getting a shot. I suppose this implies that the new rankings will not have Hikaru Shida as #1, and Britt Baker moves up in her place. Of course, both women and Riho being named by Brandi Rhodes in her new promo probably means something, too, so be watching for Brandi and Awesome Kong to have something to do during that match.

The main event tag match was insane, and absolutely fitting of being a #1 contender’s match. All of that stuff was incredible, from start to finish, even getting others involved because obviously that’s the move to play. The Bucks winning was not that surprising, they have a lot of experience with SoCal Uncensored, especially from ROH. Their match next week is going to be great, and will just up the hype for the last AEW of 2019 even more.

My Score: 9.2/10
