FTR w/ Tully Blanchard VS Jurassic Express!

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood really riled up the AEW Tag Division as part of their championship celebration last week, but none more so than Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus! Will the quickly rising contenders prove they’re worthy of being number one? Or will they learn to #FearTheRevelation?

But before FTR can make their entrance, the Young Bucks storm out to the ring. Mark Stunt keeps his distance given he was on the receiving end of a superkick from Matt Jackson. Matt and Nick pace about, then DOUBLE SUPERKICK the referee!? As if that total fine of $10,000 wasn’t enough! More referees rush out to check on their colleague while the Bucks leave! “You wanna fine us, Tony.” The Bucks toss a huge wad of Benjamin Franklins at Tony Khan at gorilla! And then they pass by FTR, who mock The Elite falling apart. The Bucks leave without another word, FTR and Tully head to the ring, and somehow this match will happen, just with a different referee than planned.

Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, the new AEW Tag Team Champions stay undefeated! Will Cash and Dax be able to skirt the rules and deny more contenders their shots?

Something has happened backstage!

Alex Marvez finds Private Party and a medic checking on a downed Matt Hardy! He clutches his leg, but no one saw exactly what happened. Chris Jericho and Jake Hager hurry over and mockingly ask what’s wrong. Hardy’s leg looks like it’s swelling up. Maybe they’ll have to amputate it! Jericho also has Floyd the Bat, too, so clearly this is suspicious. Hager mockingly says to put some ice on that. A lot! See you two kids later! Will Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy avenge Hardy for what the Inner Circle did to him?

Kenny Omega joins commentary!

Surely he saw what just happened to Matt Hardy. What are his thoughts on that? Omega hopes Hardy’s leg is okay, and notes the string of bad luck Hardy has had lately. But there’s another reason Omega is on commentary at this very moment, and that’s because the very next match is…

Hangman Page VS Frankie Kazarian!

The Cowboy was one half of only the second-ever AEW Tag Team Champions with Kenny Omega. The Heavy Metal Rebel was one half of the inaugural champions with Scorpio Sky. And these two have a long rivalry dating back to ROH! What happens when these two finally meet 1v1 again?

The bell rings and fans fire up already. Hangman and Kaz tie up, go around on the ropes and into a corner, and it starts to feel like the old days. The ref counts, Hangman lets off and Kaz gives a nod. They circle again, tie up, and Kaz waistlocks to a big slam! Kaz facelocks, holds on as Hangman rolls, and they get up. Hangman powers up but Kaz uses the lift to sunset flip, TWO! Kaz drop toeholds, grabs an arm and then shifts to an inverted cravat. Hangman gets up, throws body shots but Kaz knees away. Kaz flips for a cravat neckbreaker, then gets a headlock. Hangman powers up as Omega gives mixed messages, and Hangman powers out, only to run into a low knee. Kaz runs but into a hard shoulder!

Things speed up, Kaz leaps but Hangman catches him for a scoop slam! Hangman CHOPS and fans already say, “This is Awesome!” Kaz throws haymakers and CHOPS in return, but Hangman CHOPS back! Hangman wrenches, CHOPS Kaz off his feet, and paces about. Hangman drags Kaz up, snap suplexes a bit roughly but Kaz gets to a corner. Hangman goes over, brings Kaz up but Kaz lands on his feet to throw haymakers and CHOPS! Kaz keeps on Hangman with a stiff forearm shot, then ROCKS him with more haymakers. Kaz whips Hangman corner to corner, Hangman puts Kaz on the apron. Hangman runs, triangle lariat! PLANCHA! Fans fire up as AEW goes picture in picture.

Hangman CHOPS Kaz, Kaz ROCKS him with a haymaker! Hangman CHOPS again, then puts Kaz back in the ring. Kaz throws hands, Hangman ducks but shoulders into a guillotine leg drop! Hangman is stuck, Kaz springboards for an even bigger guillotine leg drop! Kaz catches his breath and drags Hangman up. Kaz whips Hangman corner to corner, runs and grabs Hangman for a Russian Leg Sweep! Kaz takes his time bringing Hangman around, Hangman pushes but Kaz pushes him back. Kaz clubs Hangman, drags him up but Hangman blocks the suplex. Kaz clubs him more, brings him up, but again Hangman blocks. Kaz clubs away on Hangman over and over, PERFECT PLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!

Kaz keeps his cool as Hangman sits up. Kaz brings Hangman back around to a facelock and grinds him to the mat. Hangman endures, fights up and throws body shots. Kaz clubs him back down, cranks on the hold, but Hangman fights back up to throw more body shots. They both club each other, Kaz keeps clubbing Hangman, and AEW returns to single picture. Hangman throws more body shots as the fans rally up and he’s free! Hangman ROCKS Kaz with a right but Kaz give sit back! Hangman forearms, Kaz haymakers, repeat. Hangman gets the edge, catches his breath then runs, but into Kaz’s forearm! Kaz runs, Hangman follows to ROCK him right back! THIS is how it was in ROH!

Hangman runs, both men clothesline but neither fall! They try again, and again, Hangman spins but Kaz gets him for a German Suplex! Hangman lands on his feet?! And spins, but into Kaz’s back kick! Kaz knees and spins, but Hangman dodges to LARIAT! Both men are down but fans are fired up! “This is Awesome!” as Hangman and Kaz slowly rise. Hangman is up first and throws forearms. Kaz wobbles but into more forearms. Kaz comes back but Hangman rocks him again. Hangman whips Kaz, Kaz BOOTS back! Kaz goes up, leaps, but into Hangman’s arms! Hangman hits the FALL AWAY SLAM! Both men are down again, the fans fire up and Hangman kips up! STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO!!

Omega admits he’s impressed that Hangman still has this much. This would be the time to tag out in a tag match, but he has no one to gag. Hangman runs into Kaz’s boot, Kaz elbows him away, then slips out to let Hangman hit buckles. Hangman dodges a clothesline but so does Kaz, Kaz slingshots for the DDT! Cover, TWO!! Hangman survives but Kaz keeps his cool. Kaz drags Hangman up, fans rally but Kaz chicken wings for the turn. Hangman powers out, Kaz spins him again to a backslide. Cover, TWO as they tip over. Fans duel, “Let’s Go, Hangman!” “S C U!” Kaz drags Hangman up to a dragon sleeper, Hangman drops to a victory roll, TWO, SLIDING LARIAT! Kaz staggers up into Hangman’s pump handle, for a MURPHY’S LAW! Cover, TWO!! Hangman could not finish Kaz with the modified fireman’s driver but the fans are loving “A E DUB!” for this one. Hangman gets Kaz back up, whips him, but Kaz reverses to put Hangman on the apron. SLINGSHOT CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Kaz can’t believe it, but he also has one more trick to try. Kaz drags Hangman up, Hangman resists but Kaz clubs him again. Kaz scoops Hangman for a slam, then springboards, into a SIT OUT POWERBOMB!! Cover, TWO!?! “This is Awesome!” and still going as both men are down!

Kaz and Hangman slowly sit up, Hangman gets to the apron. Hangman throws off the elbow pad but Kaz gets under the slingshot. Kaz avoids the moonsault and ROCKS Hangman with that right! Kaz puts Hangman on the apron, Hangman comes back to clothesline Kaz into railing! Hangman puts Kaz in, aims from the apron, but Kaz blocks the boot to ROCK Hangman with a right! Kaz headbutts Hangman, slingshots him but Hangman hotshots him first! Hangman boots Kaz, Kaz back elbows Hangman! Kaz slingshots but Hangman dodges the leg drop, to BUCK SHOT!! Cover, Hangman wins!!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Kenny Omega has to admit, that was great. It was fun for Omega on commentary, but seems very dodgy about his chances of being Hangman and him being a team again. Will they even be friends in the future?

MJF w/ Wardlow VS ???

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is not AEW World Champion and is no longer without a singles loss, but his ego is not so easily damaged. He makes sure to have the Dynamite Diamond Ring on his finger to get his peers to kiss it. AEW is picture in picture as no one actually wants to. Least of all Shaul Guerrero. She’s wearing a mask for more reasons than just pandemic now. And MJF’s luck doesn’t change just because he walks over to the other side of ringside. HE pie faces Griff Garrison just because he can, then goes to the ring. MJF “hesitates” before posing on the corner, and AEW goes to break.

AEW returns and MJF’s opponent turns out to be The Captain, Shawn Dean. More surprising than that, MJF offers him a handshake, and honors it cleanly. Until the bell rings and he pokes Dean in the eye! MJF reels Dean into the SALT OF THE EARTH!! Dean TAPS, MJF wins!!

Winner: MJF, by submission

MJF makes Dean suffer before he finally lets go, and MJF “rebounds” with the fastest win in his career! Wardlow tosses Dean out so MJF can celebrate alone in the ring. Wardlow also fetches MJF a mic and MJF speaks. “Pipe down, guys, hold on a second. If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that MJF is a very honest man.” Fans do not agree with that. “NO YOU’RE NOT!” But dishonest Dictator Jon is? Because MJF is pretty sure the guy fans like cheated! Oh you don’t like the truth? That’s because you can’t handle it! MJF should be undefeated AND AEW World Champion!! Fans say “You’re a Loser!” But from here on out, since MJF should be and actually is undefeated, they should refer to him as the “undefeated, undisputed, uncrowned AEW World Champion!”

In fact, Justin Roberts, “you smooth-brained schmuck,” announce that to everyone right now! Justin says it, but not with the passion MJF wants. “You moron! Say it with some gusto! Say it with your chest! Or else, Wardlow’s going to come out there and pay you a visit.” Justin tries again, and gives the proper energy MJF wants. “And as the undefeated, undisputed, uncrowned AEW World Champion, it’s become very clearly taht I’m never going to get a fair shake aorund here.” It is very clear to him that in order to get that, you need to be part of a stable. It’s almost like AEW gets a new faction every single week!

Well in that case, MJF has always fancied himself a lone wolf, but maybe MJF should get a wolf pack. Maybe the lone wolf should be lone no more. But if MJF so decides to pick a group, not pick a group, “leave, come, go stay, it doesn’t matter. Because at the end of the day, I’m still better than you, and you know it.” Will MJF recruit members to his pack? Will anyone even want to follow MJF?

Technique by Taz profiles Ricky Starks.

Starks’ speed burst for his Spear drives everything into his opponent’s ribs. Then the Roshambeau, there are the different grips for different opponents. A butterfly underhook is for the lighter wrestlers, and he moves his legs forward to ad to the momentum. There is also the gut wrench for heavier opponents, but the landing is the same: dominant and violent. This is why Absolute is a star player in Team Taz, and will destroy Darby Allin.

Eddie Kingston, the Butcher, the Blade & The Lucha Brothers are in the ring!

For whatever reason, Butcher and Blade bail out before Kingston speaks. “Ladies and gentlemen,” which he shrugs since he doesn’t see anyone fitting those descriptions, “I have three points to make.” One: Kingston never lost the Casino Battle Royal! Look up the rules, folks! It shouldn’t be Lance Archer, not Jon Moxley, not some random guy, KINGSTON! Two: He and his friends are family. Not a stable, not a faction, but a family! And when family fights, they usually go out to dinner, have some therapy, all that. But not these five! They’re a family of violence. SO what happens? They get violent! They’re agents of chaos! So Butcher, Blade, please find some victims.

They grab Daniel Garcia, Kevin Blackwood and Griff Garrison from the crowd of wrestlers! They throw Blackwood into the ring for Fenix and Pentagon to DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Kingston is loving this, as Pentagon wheelbarrows Fenix for the ROLLING SPLASH! Griff and Garcia are put in and the mugging continues while Kingston mocks Blackwood’s hair. “Hey, pink shirt! Good night.” Garcia gets a BACK SUPLEX CHOKE SLAM from Butcher and Blade! And lastly, the Ivy League MVP gets a CERO MIEDO FULL DEATH, with Fenix’s DOUBLE STOMPS added on top!! “That was hilarious!” Kingston wants his guys to do a favor: get rid of weird hair and blondie. The ring is cleared and everything is in order, according to Kingston.

Fenix, ready! Pentagon, ready! Butcher and Blade, ready! BUT, the third point Kingston wants to make tonight. Blade, since they are all here together, it’s time to get his house in order. Does he mean… BUNNY?! What happens when this “family” is united in one cause?

AEW returns with big news for next week!

With the Dynamite Anniversary fast approaching, and the AEW World Championship match as part of it, Jon Moxley and Lance Archer are going to recruit men for a huge Six Man Tag match! Who will ride with the Death Rider? And who will be too scared to say no to the Murderhawk Monster?

Chris Jericho & Jake Hager VS Private Party!

Le Champion and Rock Hard Hager are jumping into an already deep AEW Tag Team Division, and are taking on a team known for high speed and shocking wins! Will Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy not only show what happens when you attack their mentor, Matt Hardy, but show Jericho and Hager that they’re not ready to climb the ranks?

The teams sort out and Quen starts against Hager. They circle, tie up, and Hager shoves Quen hard to a corner. Quen gets up and circles with Hager again, to get a waistlock. Hager elbows out, Hager whips Quen corner to corner, but Quen goes up and over to tag Kassidy! Quen dodges, drop toeholds and Kassidy SLING DOGS! Hager bails out, Kassidy sees Jericho running over and sends him to the apron. Jericho DECKS Kassidy but Quen uses Kassidy for Poetry in Motion! Down goes Jericho! Fans rally for Private Party as they build speed and DOUBLE DIVE! Direct hit onto both Jericho and Hager! Kassidy and Quen fire off on both Hager and Jericho at the railing! Hager pushes Kassidy away and gets back into the ring. Kassidy slingshot sentons down on him! Cover, ONE!

Kassidy keeps on Hager with hammering hands, tags in Quen, and they manage a double suplex on Hager! Cover, TWO! Quen keeps on Hager with a facelock but Hager powers out and BOOTS Quen down! Hager drags Quen to the corner, tags Jericho, and Jericho rains down rights on Quen. The ref counts, Hager gets out at 5 of 10, and Jericho soaks up the heat. Jericho throws haymakers on Quen, CHOPS him at ropes and CHOPS him again. Jericho whips, and he forearms Quen down! Jericho toys with Quen, brings him up and back suplexes Quen down! Cover, TWO! Jericho stays on Quen and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Hager and Hager throws big body shots into Quen! Hager ROCKS Quen with a haymaker and Quen flops to the apron!

Fans rally up as Quen gets up to hit Hager back. Hager toys with Quen, Quen hits him more, but Hager shoves him to a corner. Quen boots back! Quen hops up, leaps and missile dropkicks Hager down! Both men are on the mat as the fans fire up. Hager and Quen crawl, hot tags to Jericho and Kassidy! Kassidy springboards to seated senton Jericho! Kassidy dropkicks Hager’s legs out, then ducks Jericho to QUEBRADA! Cover, TWO!! Kassidy almost had the Demo God! Kassidy runs to a corner, Jericho puts him on the apron but Kassidy hits back. Jericho fakes injury and the ref is distracted, Hager CLOBBERS Kassidy using Floyd the Baseball Bat! Kassidy goes down in a heap on the apron and Jericho dropkicks him down! Hager gets away with cheap shots as AEW goes picture in picture.

Hager drags Kassidy up to POST him! The ref misses that as Jericho keeps arguing with him, but then Jericho stops to grin and soak up the heat. Jericho goes out to fetch Kassidy, and he scoops to snake eyes Ksasidy on railing! Kassidy flounders while fans jeer Jericho. Jericho drags Kassidy up to put him in the ring, and he taunts Kassidy to crawl for his corner. Jericho drags Kassidy away, tags in Hager, and they stomp Kassidy. Hager drops elbows, drags Kassidy up and whips him to a corner hard! Kassidy hits the mat, Hager sets him up in the drop zone, for the HAGER BOMB! Hager doesn’t cover, he just watches Kassidy gasp for air. Hager and Jericho “clink glasses” before Hager drags Kassidy back up.

Kassidy hits back but Hager ROCKS him with a right! Hager stands on Kassyd’s chest but stops at the ref’s count of 4. Kassidy crawls to the apron, and Hager chokes him with the ropes! Hager lets up at 4 again, but Jericho gets a cheap shot in! Kassidy tries to get up but Hager is on him first. Hager reels Kassidy in for a LARIAT! AEW returns to single picture as Hager drags Kassidy into a chinlock and throws clubbing forearms. The fans rally for Kassidy but Hager just kneels on him! Kassidy boots back, elbows Jericho then runs, into Hager’s SLAM! Hager DECKS Quen for good measure!

Hager drags Kassidy up as the fans chant, “You Both Suck!” Hager whips, Kassidy goes up but Hager blocks him going over! Quen helps Kassidy and they hit Hager with SILLY STRING! Kassidy and Hager are both down but the fans fire up! Kassidy and Hager crawl for their corners, hot tags to Jericho and Quen! Quen rallies on Jericho with clotheslines and an atomic drop! Dropkick drops Jericho! Hager gets in but Quen flapjack dropkicks him out! Quen FLIES and takes Hager out! Quen gets back up, springboards to crossbody onto Jericho! Cover, TWO!! Quen sets up for Kassidy to PARTY IN MOTION! Kassidy turns Jericho, Quen goes up, DOUBLE STOMP NECKBREAKER! Kassidy covers slow, TWO!! Kassidy’s back is slowing him down but the fans rally up for him. Kassidy throws body shots at Jericho, but Hager runs in! Kassidy gets away and Hager splashes Jericho! Jericho manages to climb up, Hager pops Kassidy up there, but Kassidy SUPER STEINERS Jericho!! Quen gets Hager with a clothesline that takes them both out of the ring! Kassidy crawls and covers Jericho, TWO!! Fans rally up again, Kassidy goes after Jericho with forearms. “SHOTS! SHOTS!” and Kassidy whips. Jericho reverses, Kassidy blocks, ducks Judas Effect, roll up, TWO!!! Kassidy runs, springboards and STUNNERS!

Kassidy flounders but doesn’t cover. He goes out and climbs up the corner as fans rally behind him. Kassidy reaches the top rope, takes a moment and SWANTONS but flops! Jericho narrowly avoided the end to hit JUDAS EFFECT!! Cover, Jericho and Hager win!

Winners: Chris Jericho & Jake Hager, by pinfall

And Jericho adds on with angry right hands! He puts Kassidy in the WALLS OF JERICHO! Kassidy’s bad back endures the submission hold, but tapping out does nothing! Jericho lets go because Quen comes in and PELES him down! Quen looms over Jericho until Hager drags Jericho out. The Inner Circle may have won the battle, but this may only be the beginning of a new tag war!

But here comes the AEW Women’s World Champion, Hikaru Shida! Shida attacks Ivelisse and Diamante in return, throwing one into the other! The tag cup winners tumble out of the ring while Shida picks up Rosa’s belt. Shida returns the belt to the proper owner, having respect for the woman who went All Out with her. Will the two singles champions both have targets on their back through this crossover?

Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford and Miro are backstage together.

The Superbad Couple spots the Best Man, the Bulgarian Beast, as he bench presses the “big boy plates” today. They don’t just game hard, they work hard! When they get in the ring hard- Did Kip say ring?! Miro wants in the AEW ring to devour someone! No, man, we’ve got something else first. Oh, right, sorry. The Best Man is Kip’s best man, so that means the best bachelor party ever! It’ll be so good! Way better than last week, right? What happens in Verdansk stays in Verdansk. They argue over Call of Duty but it’s fine. The party will be so good. It’ll be Superbad! Kip’s turn on the bench press!

AEW returns as Lance Archer heads to the ring!

The Murderhawk Monster mauls El Fuego as he goes ringside! HUGE CHOKE SLAM! Jake the Snake says that’s “a proper ring entrance.” But he also has a question. “Would you trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for a cool breeze? Would you exchange all your pleasure for some pain? After all, aren’t they the same?” Jake thinks so. Archer thinks so. Sometimes in wrestling, or movies or even in politics, you might find yourself in bed with someone you wouldn’t expect. And that’s what they have to do now with the coming Six Man Tag. Archer isn’t happy, but there’s a reason for it. Sometimes you need info, money or a way out. For them, they need partners. If they’re going to lay in bed with the devil, why not the Tasmanian Devil? Taz, please come out.

The leader of Team Taz obliges, much to everyone’s surprise. Taz stands in the ring with Jake and Archer, is handed the mic, and Snake keeps things peaceful. As discussed earlier today, Team Taz is very excited to do business with them. This is all business. And as discussed, the trio of Absolute Ricky Starks, “The Machine” Brian Cage, and the Murderhawk Monster, the #1 contender for the AEW World Championship, is a deadly one. And the last thing, is the deal they made. When Archer destroys Moxley and takes that title, Archer will give Cage that first shot. That’s what everyone wants. Archer wants Taz to understand that he and his boys are simply enemies of Archer’s enemy. That makes them “friendly.”

But come 10/14/20, when Archer puts the punkass Moxley down, AEW will have a killer new champion! And Archer doesn’t care how much whining and crying Eddie Kingston says about the battle royal, the Monster and the Machine are gonna go Godzilla on Daily’s Place! But to respond, here comes Moxley himself! Moxley carries #BigPlatinum at the top of the bleachers, mic in hand, to speak.  Wait, who are these guys attacking!? It’s Starks and Cage!! Taz put the trap in! Security tries to stop them but they get mauled, too! Moxley fights back but that’s 2v1! Jake and Taz like what they see as Team Taz mugs Moxley and throws him through a wood case!

But here comes Will Hoobs with a chair!! He hits Cage and SMASHES him! Starks gets Cage away to safety! The Embodiment of Willpower has run off Cage and Starks! Moxley stands tall with Hobbs and says, “That’s a hell of a team you’ve got assembled there, Jake!” But let him introduce you all to his partners! This is a man who is not afraid of the “punkass hit squad.” Oakland’s Most Violent, RAM POWER, Will Hobbs!! And they have a third partner, as Moxley calls on the services of Taz’s “favorite,” DARBY ALLIN!! Darby is watching at home, but he needs to get back to Jacksonville next week, because they are going to WAR! Will there be anyone standing after this incredible Six Man showdown?

AEW has other huge matches for next week’s Wednesday Night Dynamite!

Mr. Brodie Lee will defend his TNT Championship against Freshly Squeezed, Orange Cassidy! Will Sloth Style get serious and finally get some gold? Plus, after what we saw tonight, the AEW and NWA Women’s World Champions will team up against the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup winners! Will Shida and Rosa unite against the unruly Ivelisse and Diamante?

Parking Lot Brawl: Best Friends VS Proud ‘n’ Powerful!

The quick victory Chuck Taylor and Trent scored over Santana and Ortiz angered them enough to bust up Miss Sue Baretta’s minivan! There was more back and forth that escalated into backstage attacks, and now it’s come to this! No more talking, only a fight will settle this! Who makes it out of the parking lot still able to drive?

The crowd of wrestlers are on the edges of the circle of cars as Santana and Ortiz walk up looking like ghost face killers. The bell rings, the two teams rush each other and the brawl is on! Santana clubs Chuck while Ortiz throws hands on Trent! Trent hits back, Chuckie T turns things around, and Trent rams Ortiz into a car hood! Chuck brings Santana over to bounce off a truck’s open tailgate, and Trent bounces Ortiz off another car hood! Trent keeps throwing forearm son Ortiz while Chuck and Santana go around to a back wall. Santana CHOPS Chuck, but Chuck bumps Santana of a hatchback! Chuck whips Santana into the side view mirror!

Trent has opened the hood and sticks Ortiz underneath it to SLAM it shut! And again! And again! That can’t be good for the radiator. Chuck climbs up this sedan, to SENTON onto the hood!! Ortiz might be a pancake under there, and then Trent adds a LEAPING SENTON!! Ortiz flops out of the car hood, Best Friends drag Ortiz around, stomping and clubbing him as they go. Chuck empties the truck bed of the spare wood, and the Best Friends set the huge plywood panel across the truck bed like a bridge. Trent throws a 2-by-4 at Ortiz so hard, it bounces back and hits Trent! Is the wood trying to be a third party to the match? Ortiz hits back but Trent throws forearms back. Santana stands back up but Chuck bounces him off a car hood.

Trent and Ortiz brawl, Chuck adds on, but Santana searches under a car’s tire well. He finds the collapsible baton!? When did he put that there?! Santana CLUBS Chuck then SMACKS Trent! Santana has Trent under the truck, for a GUILLOTINE CATAPULT into the tailgate!! Santana grimaces through the blood from his forehead, and Ortiz has a sledgehammer! Ortiz aims at Chuck and chucks the hammer! Chuck avoids the hammer and it smashes a windshield! Chuck kicks Ortiz, BOOTS Santana but Ortiz CHOPS back. Ortiz and Chuck brawl, they go around the way, and Chuck throws Ortiz into trash barrels! Or was that recycling? Chuck drags Ortiz up, bounces him off the car trunk, and climbs up again.

Chuck brings Ortiz up to the trunk roof but Ortiz fights back. Ortiz has Chuck, and snap suplexes onto the car roof! The back window breaks and Ortiz flops off the car! Santana is on top of the truck and FROG SPLASHES onto Chuck! Cover, TWO!! Chuck survives and no one can believe it! “This is Awesome!” but Ortiz literally trashes Chuck with the trash. Trent returns and throws forearms on Ortiz. Trent whips Ortiz into the car hood, sees Santana and kicks him down, then grabs the spare door. Trent sets the door against the car like a ramp, but Ortiz uses the baton to SMACK Trent in the back! Ortiz drags Trent up, lifts, but Trent escapes to ROCK Ortiz back! Trent runs in, to SPEAR Ortiz through the door!! Blood from Ortiz’s elbow and shoulder are clear against the white base paint!

Chuck returns and leans against the car. Santana does the same on the other side as they push the wreckage aside. Santana bounces Chuck off the car hood of this already battered sedan, and then takes the piece of door to SMACK Chuck on the back! And then he clubs Chuck on the back. Santana clubs away with crossface forearms, then bounces him off the hood again. Trent has a piece of door and throws it int Ortiz’s head! Chuck back suplexes Santana onto the car hood! Santana screams in pain as he slides down. Trent brings Ortiz up, uses the tailgate, but Ortiz pushes him away! Ortiz has a paint pan and SMACKS Trent in the head with it!! Chuck kicks Ortiz, whips him int the other sedan!

Chuck wipes the blood from his nose as he brings steel railing into this! He leans it against the silver sedan as a ramp, then brings Ortiz around. Ortiz hits back with body shots and haymakers. Ortiz lines it up, Chuck counters and snap suplexes Ortiz into the railing!! The steel bends as both men are wrecked! Santana basement boots Trent while Chuck rises. Chuck drags Ortiz around while Santana BREAKS a 2-by-4 on Trent! Chuck pushes Ortiz onto the roof of the silver sedan while Trent hits Santana back. Now the SUV’s get involved as Trent punches Santana against one over and over and over! Trent and Chuck regroup and focus on Ortiz. Trent climbs up the sedan but Santana whips Chuck into the passenger door!

Ortiz LOW BLOW UPPERCUTS Trent on the car roof! Ortiz brings Trent up for a POWERBOMB on the car roof! Trent spasms and slides down the front of the car, but Santana and Ortiz aren’t through with him! They drag Trent up, and DOUBLE BOMB him into the windshield!! Trent’s back is littered with glass pieces! Chuck hits back with a baseball bat! It’s not Floyd but perhaps a cousin! Chuck uses it to choke Santana but Ortiz hurries over. Chuck hits Ortiz back! Chuck grabs the other 2-by-4 to SMACK Ortiz, and again! The wood breaks, but Santana back drops Chuck onto the trash barrels! All four men are down, bloodied and bruised, but the crowd is fired up!

PNP regroup and they point at Trent and his bloody back. Ortiz SMACKS Trent with what’s left of the wood! Santana toys with Chuck while Ortiz rains down rights. Another SMACK from the wood! Trent gets up on noodle legs but Ortiz ROCKS him! Santana presses Chuck into another car’s trunk, and says, “This was the biggest mistake you have ever done in your f***ing life!” Santana punches Chuck over and over into the car’s license plate! Chuck can barely cover up! But he refuses to give up! Meanwhile, Ortiz has put Trent on that wood bridge on the truck bed! Santana grabs the baseball bat Chuck found and takes aim. But wait, who is that coming out of the car trunk!? It’s ORANGE CASSIDY!!

Cassidy has his fist wrapped in something, and gives Santana a FULL METAL ORANGE PUNCH! That something was a steel chain!! Cassidy drags Santana up and fireman’s carries him over to the red sedan. He hands Santana off to Chuck for an AWFUL WAFFLE on the hood! Trent turns things around on Ortiz to get him up and around for a CRUNCHIE through the wood!! Cover, Best Friends win!!

Winners: Best Friends, by pinfall

It’s good to have friends, and Freshly Squeezed helps his turn the tide! And they hug! Trent’s mom’s minivan has been avenged, and the NEW van pulls up! Trent gives her mom a hug and Cassidy calls shotgun. The boys get in the back, and Sue gives PNP a middle finger farewell! Does this signal the end of the grudge between them and the Inner Circle?

My Thoughts:

An incredible episode, especially with that ending! I have not seen a lot of Parking Lot Brawls, and there haven’t really been a lot of those, but this was perhaps the most innovative and most brutal one ever. It might be a point of contention that Cassidy helped out at the end, but what a great surprise for him to come out of a car trunk! Best Friends win, and having Sue show up was a great addition to the end there. I almost feel like Blood & Guts is no longer needed for Inner Circle VS Best Friends and friends after this. Maybe things shift to have Inner Circle feud with Private Party, Matt Hardy and Jersey’s Finest, Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss, instead. After all, there’s a lot of suspicion as to who attacked Hardy backstage, and surely Sammy Guevara will be back.

Hager & Jericho VS Private Party was a great match, and though Private Party have been a tag team longer and in the AEW Tag Division longer, obviously the story dictated Jericho and Hager find a way to win. I will still stand by the opinion that Hager and Jericho didn’t need to jump into the tag division when Santana and Ortiz should’ve been the focus all along, but with Best Friends winning, we’d be waiting a bit longer for PNP to head for the tag titles anyway. FTR VS Jurassic Express to open the night was great, and it was very interesting FTR needed to cheat to win. Miro and Kip had a good segment, I wonder if the bachelor party is the go-home to the wedding on the anniversary episode.

Another interesting detail of the opening segment was the Bucks just flat-out attacking a ref and then paying upfront. The original Elite could definitely all be turning some level of Heel here, with Omega only reluctantly giving Hangman compliments and then outright avoiding Hangman after the match. Hangman and Kaz had a great match, Hangman gets a great win for it, and I am really hoping Hangman VS Omega is something that leads to the winner going after a singles title. MJF gets a fast win just to make a point, but I am curious to see who he manages to add to a stable with him and Wardlow. Maybe tensions rise again and Wardlow takes over the faction since he’s the actual muscle.

Rosa VS Ivelisse was a great match, but I also felt the tag match they announced coming when Diamante attacked Rosa and Shida retaliated. That is going to be a great match and could go either way because of how Rosa didn’t look all that thrilled to be saved. I also like the pick-up game Six Man Tag we’re getting next week. It was a great surprise for Team Taz to make a deal with Archer and Jake, but something about it makes sense. Hobbs being one of Moxley’s guys is great! I figured Hobbs would team up with at least Darby Allin, and now it’s happening through this. That match is going to be awesome, and could go either way, but don’t expect Moxley or Archer to take a pin. Win or lose next week, the anniversary show probably adds Team Taz VS Darby & Hobbs to the card.

My Score: 9.3/10

AEW hears from tonight’s main eventers.

Jay White tells Ricky Starks, “Let me be honest with you. You have a lot of things going for you. You’re charismatic, you have everything it takes to reach the top of this business. That’s coming from me, so you know that those words mean something.” But The Absolute tells The Switchblade, “Whatever you did in the past doesn’t matter tonight. I’m gonna expose you for who you are.” White says that Starks has to look past his own ego that has grown out of control, to see that the man standing across from him in the ring tonight is going to show him just how out of his depth he is tonight.

Starks says he IS Absolute, and that is what White is gonna get and gonna understand. Starks is a man without boundaries! But White says this is absolutely still the Switchblade Era. With no one else allowed ringside, will these two finally settle the score once and for all?

Bryan Danielson is here!

The American Dragon already has big plans for Forbidden Door as he challenged The Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada! AEW has a highlight reel of the “once in a lifetime” professional wrestler that is Okada, and replays some of Bryan’s promo from NJPW Dominion. “For the last 10 years, I’ve heard people talk about how great you are. How you’re the best wrestler of this generation. And I’ve also heard in interviews, that you said you wanna wrestle me. […] You wanna wrestle Bryan Danielson?” Okada’s response is that at Forbidden Door, we will see who is the REAL best in the world. Bryan says, “You’re good. I know you’re good. But I am the litmus test of ‘great.'”

Bryan says Okada calls himself the Rainmaker, but “When you step in the ring with me, you’re going into the EFFING DESERT! And there ain’t gonna be no rain.” Bryan now joins commentary as it is announced officially: Bryan VS Okada at Forbidden Door 2023! Okada was called a “once in a lifetime” wrestler in that video, but Bryan is also once in a lifetime! What happens when these two generational talents collide in Canada?

Six Man Tag: Blackpool Combat Club VS Chaos!

Speaking of Bryan and Okada, each of their allies are battling here tonight! Will Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta use #DeathJitsu to destroy Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero?

Backstage interview with Team Triple J.

Lexi Nair is with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, as well as Jeff & Karen Jarrett, “and the talk all week has been that you, Sonjay Dutt, and your group will be suspended.” WHAT?! Fined? Suspended? The only ones who should be facing that is AEW itself! They backed Triple J into a corner and they came out swinging like any real fighters would! Lethal feels that there should be consequences for Aubrey Edwards! She’s been against Triple J since the dawn of time! Something needs to be done about her! Jeff adds that there’s been enough talk these past five days. Should the heat go on the promotion? Should the heat go on Briscoe? On Aubrey?

The reality of the fact is, these five people are walking, talking, fire-breathing heat! But wait, here comes Mark Briscoe! He wants everyone to simmer down. There will be no suspensions, he assures us that. Mark talked with Tony Khan, Tony promised them there would be no suspensions. Because if Triple J is suspended, then they can’t be here. Because if they aren’t here, then they can’t get the ass whooping they deserve! Lethal wants Mark to hold on but Mark tells Lethal to shut up! We ain’t talking about Lethal! We’re talking about Jeff and KAREN! What?! “We?” Who is “we?!” AUBREY EDWARDS!!

Triple J cannot believe this. Aubrey wants Karen? Then there’s nothing but air and opportunity between them. So then Aubrey CHOKES Karen!! Karen and Aubrey start scrapping and Triple J, other refs and security rush in to stop this! When and where will Double J & the one true Karen have to face off with the Sussex County Chicken and one pissed off zebra?

BIG news for ROH!

On Friday, July 21st in Trenton, New Jersey, ROH returns to PPV with Death Before Dishonor! Tickets go on sale next Friday, June 9th!

Mark Henry welcomes us back to Rampage.

“Tonight, two technical masters go face to face when Lee Moriarty takes on Shibata for the ROH Pure Championship.” Nigel McGuiness says a competitor like Shibata can pick you apart, one body part by another. But Tony Schiavone and Taz say not enough is said about just how talented Moriarty is for such a young wrestler. It looks like there’s been enough talk. It’s TIME for the main event!

ROH Pure Championship: Katsuyori Shibata VS Lee Moriarty!

The Wrestler defended this title just last night on ROH against his student, Alex “The Android” Coughlin. But now he faces #TAIGASTYLE, who has come close to snatching this title for his own not too long ago. Will tonight be Moriarty’s night? Or will Shibata make it through this Pure Wrestling Double Header?

The introductions are made, our judges are BJ Whitmer, Christopher Daniels & Jerry Lynn, and the belt is raised as we see who is truly THE Wrestler!

The bell rings and the clock is ticking on this 60 minute time limit. The two feel things out, Moriarty shoots in but Shibata holds him off with a sprawl. Moriarty kips up, air guitars, and he ties up Shibata’s legs into a unique crisscross toehold. Then he sits with it for a modified stump puller! Shibata’s shoulders are down, Moriarty is practically stealing Darby Allin’s Last Supper! TWO as Shibata kicks out and Moriarty argues the count. Moriarty drags Shibata around, stomps a leg, then stomps it more and more before another DDT to the foot! Moriarty scrambles and goes to the opposite side, ROPEBREAK! That’s his second, he has one left, and we’ve only just past six minutes! Shibata stomps Moriarty’s bad leg, has him in a corner, and he fires off forearms! The ref counts, Shibata fires again and again, but lets off at 4. Shibata runs corner to corner but Moriarty follows to KNEE him in the corner! And then HALF HATCH BRIDGE! Just past nine minutes and Shibata finishes things off, but wait! Daniel Garcia is here! The Dragonslayer is a former ROH Pure Champion, and he’s walking out right to the ring! Garcia steps in, he swaggers up to Shibata, and it is clear this is what’s next for Shibata. Shibata raises the belt to signal his accepting the challenge, will The Wrestler put down this sports… enner-tay-ner?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here, though I’m surprised this wasn’t just a Battle of the Belts special. Excalibur said it himself on commentary in the main event, but it was great to start off with the epitome of lucha libre and finish on Strong Style technical wrestling. The AAA Mega Championship was a great opener, and was definitely another instance where I’m grateful we can pause things because they were going fast and furious. Or maybe at Flash speeds, since that’s a Warner Brothers movie they could plug. But as I figured going into this, all the champions retained, since none of these were AEW titles (directly, since ROH is a subsidiary of AEW now).

The NJPW World Television Championship continues to be a great title to watch because of the 15 minute time limit speeding things up. Likewise, ZSJ is always a great wrestler to watch, but so hard to write for cuz he has the biggest collection of named signature moves/holds of any wrestler I’ve seen. I had to double check what he was using to make Action tap, because I keep thinking things are Clarky Cat when they’re not Clarky Cat. ZSJ is setting a very high bar for this title, maybe he retains against Cobb at Dominion or maybe he loses, but it’s going to be hard for the second-ever NJPW World TV Champion to match what ZSJ has done.

Great first title defense for Willow and this title, she and Emi put on a great match. I wonder when Willow has her first defense on NJPW Strong, and who she’ll be facing. And we got a great Pure Championship match to finish, and I’m surprised it was so quick, even compared to the NJPW World TV Championship match. But great win for Shibata, I like that Garcia is stepping up, and that’s going to be an awesome match. I don’t know if they’re going to wait until Death Before Dishonor in July for that match, but knowing AEW and ROH, they can find a way to stretch things out. Especially with Garcia also busy being part of JAS and doing JAS things.

My Score: 8.7/10
