PAC w/ Death Triangle VS Eddie Kingston w/ The Fam!

The Bastard is back to stop the Mad King from using the only two people he respects on the face “of this scummy world” as pawns. Will Pac make Kingston learn to respect him and the Lucha Brothers? Or will Kingston, the Butcher and the Blade only add on to what they did to Death Triangle last week?

The bell rings just seconds before Pac dropkicks Kingston down! Pac builds speeds and FLIES! Direct hit with the Fosbury Flop! Kingston flounders and Pac whips him into railing! Pac scares off The Fam, then stalks Kingston back into the ring. Kingston staggers but Pac is after him with a BOOT in the corner! Pac has the fans fired up behind him as he grinds then BOOTS Kingston down! Pac digs his boot into Kingston at the ropes but lets off as the ref counts. Kingston gets to another corner, Pac BOOTS him down again! Pac stalks Kingston along the ropes as The Fam rallies up but Pac just BOOTS Kingston again!

Pac snapmares Kingston, climbs up the corner and watches like a hawk, for a shotgun missile dropkick! And what a fluid kip-up right after! Kingston stirs as The Fam coaches him up but fans are on Pac’s side. Kingston throws a body shot, Pac KNEES him back! Kingston flounders into another KNEE! Pac glares as Kingston goes to a corner, and he throws forearms! Kingston shoves Pac, boots him, then hops up for a FLYING KNEE! Fans boo as Kingston stomps Pac, but then Kingston distracts the ref by pointing out the Lucha Brothers. Bunny Allie claws at Pac’s eyes! Allie laughs at Pac’s pain but Rey Fenix rushes over! The ref tries to keep Fenix back but Kingston hits an EXPLODER on Pac!

Fans boo as The Fam keeps the Lucha Brothers at bay. Kingston puts Pac in, looms over him and brings him up to turn for a neckbreaker! Cover, ONE! Kingston is annoyed but he keeps on Pac with a smothering neck wrench. Fans rally up as Pac endures, Kingston claws at Pac’s face but the ref reprimands. Kingston lets off to then CHOP Pac to a corner! And CHOP again! Pac snarls as Kingston CHOPS him again! Kingston elbows Pac down, pulls on his ear at the ropes, but the ref counts. Kingston stops at 3, The Fam laughs at Pac’s pain, and Kingston drags Pac up. Pac ROCKS Kingston, Kingston CHOPS back! Pac forearms, Kingston CHOPS!

Pac gets the edge, kicks and kicks and KICKS! He dodges Kingston to SNAP GERMAN! Fans are thunderous as Pac sits up with another scowl. A standing count starts, Allie taunts Pac but Pac sneers back. Pac gets up with the ropes at 5, and he goes over to Kingston. Kingston sits up but Pac KICKS him in the chest! And KICKS him again! Kingston manages to stay up, but Pac just KICKS him again! Kingston falls over and Pac looms over him. Kingston pushes Pac, Pac runs but into a CHOP! ENZIGURI! SAIDO!! Cover, TWO!! Pac survives and fans are fired up! The Fam is furious but the Lucha Brothers rally for Pac as a new standing count begins.

Kingston sits up first at 3, but Pac follows at 4. Kingston and Pac slowly stand, hobble a bit, and Kingston is on Pac in a corner with a CHOP! Pac snarls again and dodges Kingston’s clothesline! Kingston elbows back, then boots, but Pac ENZIGURIS Kingston on the top rope! Kingston is dazed and Pac climbs up to join him. Pac brings Kingston up for a SUPERPLEX! Cover, TWO!! Kingston survives, The Fam and the Lucha Brothers are all anxious, but Kingston flounders to a corner. Pac stands, takes aim, and runs in to BOOT Kingston down! Pac throws more boots, Kingston manages to stand, but Pac runs corner to corner to EuroUpper!

Pac brings Kingston out and pushes him over. Kingston flounders about, tries to find Pac, Pac runs but into a LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Pac barely survives and that frustrates Kingston. Kingston hobbles, clutches a shoulder, but he gets Pac up in a facelock. Pac holds ropes to deny the DDT, then he basement dropkicks Kingston down! Pac drags Kingston to a drop zone, climbs up top, BLACK ARROW!! Cover, Pac wins!!

Winner: PAC, by pinfall

But he isn’t done! Pac puts Kingston in the BRUTALIZER! The Fam and the Lucha Brothers jump in but the ref keeps the peace as best he can! But here comes LANCE ARCHER! The Murderhawk Monster chases off The Fam because they know he wants his pound of flesh from Kingston! Jake the Snake is now keeping the peace between the many enemies of Kingston, and Archer is telling Pac to get on the same page as him. They both want the same thing, but will they all be patient enough to take the Mad King down together?

Miro w/ Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford VS Chuck Taylor w/ Orange Cassidy!

The Best Man and the Superbad couple undoubtedly injured Trent’s arm, which is why the Best Friends are down a man. But in an attempt to get even, the Kentucky Gentleman made a bet! If Chuck wins, Miro and friends leave him and Trent alone. But if Miro wins, Chuck becomes Miro’s “Young Boy,” aka lackey, from tonight until the Superbad Wedding at AEW Beach Break in February! Will Chuckie T be able to carry on without Trent? Or will he have to carry Miro’s bags instead?

AEW returns as Miro makes his entrance. The bell rings and Chuck attacks Miro with fast hands and feet! Chuck has Miro in the corner, stomps away but backs off as the ref counts, to then clothesline Miro out! Miro staggers back up and hurries back to the apron, but Chuck knocks him down! Chuck goes out and whips Miro into the stage! Miro comes back, Chuck gets around him and uses a waistlock to send Miro back into the stage! Miro staggers into the ring, Chuck builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit and down goes Miro! Fans are fired up as Chuck stares down Kip! Chuck fires haymakers, whips Miro into railing, then throws more haymakers!

The ring count is 5, Miro shoves Chuck then runs at him, but Chuck dodges and Miro hits POST! Chuck refreshes the ring count, then leaps out to DOUBLE STOMP onto Miro! Miro manages to get in the ring, fans rally with Chuck and Chuck climbs up top. Kip dropkicks Cassidy! So Chuck mule kicks Kip! Chuck hits a SEXY CHUCKIE KNEE on Miro! Chuck builds up speed but Miro hits a SAMOAN DROP! Miro fires up and RAMS into Chuck, then fires off furious fists! The ref counts, Miro uses an OVERHEAD suplex to send Chuck across the ring! Miro then runs corner to corner to SPLASH Chuck, then keeps moving to WINDMILL KICK Chuck down!

Fans boo but Miro glares at Chuck. Chuck flounders up, Miro stomps around, Miro hits the BEST KICK! But he’s not done there, because it’s “GAME! OVER!!” Stomp and camel clutch, GAME OVER STRETCH! Chuck taps, Miro wins!!

Winner: Miro, by submission

Miro makes Chuck suffer, but now he has himself a new butler! Miro and the Superbad couple usher their Young Boy away, leaving Freshly Squeezed all alone. What will Chuck have to endure for the next month?

Backstage interview with #HardyParty.

Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and their new manager, Matt Hardy, are here, what does this mean for the relationship? Hardy speaks over Private Party to say that now that they’ve joined his Hardy Brand, things have been so much better. He lets them tell us what that means. Kassidy says a wise man once told them “It’s called show business, not friend business, for a reason.” Quen says ever since signing with AEW, their lives have been great. But now it’s so much better after signing with Matt! He is a tag team legend, an icon! It’d be pretty stupid if they stopped being a tag team now.

Actually, there is something Quen needs to get off his chest. Matt is taking 30%?! Yes, even from third party platforms, that was in the fine print. If they didn’t read that, that’s on them. It was a lesson they had to learn. But they’re so focused on money. Money will be nothing when they’re multi-millionaires! Hardy should know. Says the guy who is taking money from them! He’s like some, some… money-grubbing CARNY!

They’re calling him a carny!? How disrespectful! You guys were nobodies before him! He is the only one here that cares for them! The fans don’t care about them! Hardy had to learn that the hard way, on 9/15/2020, AEW All Out! No one here cares!! The sooner you get that, the better you’ll be. So just shut up, listen to him, and do what he tells you! Now go, this interview is over! Well, this escalated rather quickly. Will the party be over now that Hardy is in control?

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle are here!

Le Champion, MJF, and the rest of the team head to the ring, united as one after all they’ve been through. Jericho takes a moment to revel in the fans singing Judas for him, we learn the Inner Circle’s 2021 New Year’s Resolutions after the break!

AEW returns and Jericho has the mic to say, “It’s the first time the entire Inner Circle has been in the ring together in 2021, and it’s gonna be a huge year for us!” 2020 was big, but this will be bigger. So they’re here to share their plans for the next 365 days! Who starts? Jake Hager starts by shouting, “CHAMPIONSHIPS! YEAH!” That is a good one. MJF says that was a great answer, and if he were to say off the top of his head, “just continuing to strengthen these bonds I have with all the men in this ring. And also fat people, they gotta go.” Sammy Guevara agrees, and Ortiz says he wants to perfect his grandmother’s sofrito recipe, and also “learning how to throw down some arroz con nueces.” MJF pretends to know what that is but Jericho knows the sofrito’s amazing.

Jericho wants to go out on a limb here and give his own resolutions. 2021 is the year Jericho and MJF will become AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Whoa, wait. Santana and Ortiz say they were handpicked to be in the Inner Circle because they were THE tag team. So what’s…? Sammy has Santana and Ortiz stand down because Sammy knows what’s going on here. Sammy says Jericho is a tag team SLUT!! WHOA~! Sammy!?! What?! The writing’s on the wall! Jericho wants to team with MJF! He teamed with Hager! He teamed with Sammy! MJF says this is messed up. But Jericho was dappin’ it up with Snoop Dogg, are they going to be a tag team? Maybe…

MJF has this calm down. Sammy, you’re getting the trains off the tracks, let’s get them back on track. So much hostility. SHUT UP, MAX! This is the thing! Hager wants Sammy to let Jericho and MJF explain. Jericho says they’re all top level professionals, huge stars, tremendous athletes and even “sexy hooligans!” Any combination here could win the AEW World Tag Team Championships! But much like Big Jake and War Dog blew off some steam, Jericho and the others should do the same. For bragging rights, next week, live on Dynamite, for the first time-ever, a Triple Threat to decide who will be the OFFICIAL tag team of the Inner Circle! Whoa!

So Jericho says it’s him and MJF against Santana & Ortiz, and then Sammy says it’ll be him and Hager. CHAMPIONSHIPS, YEAH!! Sammy Hager? Good one, Sammy. Wait, what do you mean? Nevermind. MJF says we’re off rails and running short on time, so let’s all relax. At the end of the day, after their “teeny tiny exhibition match,” they’re all still family, they’re still the Inner Circle, and nothing will break them up. They are better than you, and you know it. Hands in! Santana asks why MJF’s hands are darker than his face. Don’t ruin the moment. But will it be Sammy Hager, the Proud ‘n’ Powerful, of #Y2MJF that will represent in the AEW Tag Team Division?

Backstage interview with The Dark Order.

After honoring the life of the late, great Mr. Brodie Lee, many are wondering what is next for the faction. Evil Uno says that night was very important for them and all of AEW. In the future, everything will be in his name. They must be better people, and that starts next week when Hangman Adam Page teams with them. And wouldn’t you know, Hangman was just off camera! Stu Grayson pulls Hangman in to join the group, and they serve up drinks. Now the Dark Order will interview Hangman! John Silver starts by saying they all just love him so much! Alex Reynolds takes over to apologize and explain that Silver still gets nervous around Hangman.

But the Dark Order wants to know: When will Hangman #JoinDarkOrder? C’mon, Adam! Is it next week, after their match? Well, after next week, he’ll let them know. Sweet! But Hangman’s totally in, right? Up top! Hangman didn’t go that far so he hears them say all this. Will that affect his decision?

AEW is going to have the first-ever Dynamite Awards! Hosted by Tony Schiavone! Go to aewawards.com to vote!

AEW looks back at how Darby Allin VS Brian Cage came to be.

Before forming Team Taz, Taz himself came to the Relentless underdog in hopes of mentoring the young wrestler in AEW. Taz has a lot of knowledge as one of the best from the 1990’s and early 2000’s. But Taz didn’t know how to talk to Darby, and took Darby’s rejection personally, and so Taz found himself someone who would listen. That someone was The Machine, Brian Cage! Cage wrecked everyone, but especially Darby Allin, in the Casino Ladder Match. Taz would then bestow upon Cage his most valued possession in THE FTW World Championship! Cage has the FTW mindset, and that is why he is holding the FTW title.

Then Team Taz would expand, adding Absolute Ricky Starks. This duo would beat down Darby at every turn, yet it was Darby who was getting what he wants. Cage tried to destroy Darby with body bags and thumbtacks, but Darby never says die. Darby kept fighting, even after being betrayed by “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs. But then, “IT’S STIIIIING!” Sting pointed to Darby and said, “Something feels really, really familiar about this place.” Team Taz tried to warn Stinger he’d get hurt, but Darby would return the favor by backing up the icon.

Team Taz have been holding back, but this feud isn’t 9 months in the making but 27 YEARS. Darby has been dealing with this kind of bullying his whole life, and now it comes to a head! Will the Relentless Face of TNT cause the Machine to break down?

Backstage interview with The Elite!

After the wild moment to end last week, “the band is back together!” Kenny Omega stands with the Young Bucks as Don Callis says of course they’re back together! Kenny’s two best friends, all these belts, it’s unbelievable! The Elite is ready to stir it up as a trio! But Callis says the Bucks should still have their own entrance, they have such a great song. That said, the Best Bout Machine heads out first!

Six Man Tag: The Elite w/ Don Callis VS ???

“And now, he has held the AEW World Title for 42 days. His victory over Rey Fenix on last week’s Dynamite was his 14th straight singles win. He now has an AEW high 36 victories. He has not teamed with The Elite in 144 days. He will become the first contracted talent to appear on Impact Wrestling Pay-Per-View at Hard to Kill. He is considered a hero by many in… NOOORTH CAROLINA! However, he is proud to be called a legend in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manatoba, Canada. He weighs 224 pounds. He is the All Elite Wrestling Wooooorld Champion…! KENNY! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEEGAAAAAA~!” The Sweepettes return to lead the way!

Omega walks out on stage with Callis, the pyro goes off, and we see that the opponents are Danny Limelight and The Varsity Blondes, Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. When these three tried to stop the Good Brothers from invading, they were swiftly dealt with, and Griff even took a superkick from Matt Jackson! Will the young and hungry trio be able to catch The Elite by surprise tonight?

Callis grabs the mic from Justin Roberts to take over from here. Tonight is too special to leave this in the hands of an amateur. As we all know, this is history tonight because the band is back together! “Courtesy of Kenny Omega and Don Callis, the dream match, the dream six man” is happening! So let him introduce these two very special people in Kenny’s life, and the WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… and Omega’s best friends in the world… the GOOD BROTHERS~!! What?!? Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are here again?! To be fair, they are world tag team champions, but for IMPACT, not AEW!

Dasha is there to get Tony Khan’s reaction, and the Bucks are there to also be very disappointed in Kenny. Callis says business is business, but best friends are forever. Well, Elite or not, will this powerful trio be just too sweet for the young hopefuls across the ring?

Six Man Tag: Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers VS Danny Limelight & The Varsity Blondes!

Anderson claws at Limelight’s face, lets off as the ref reprimands, then tags in Omega. Anderson scoop slams Limelight, Gallows becomes a backpack and Omega walks over to Limelight, for Anderson to run and add on, THREE MAN SPLASH! Cover, the Good Brothers intercept but the Varsity Blondes still get in to break it! Gallows knocks BPJ and Griff out of the ring and Omega drags Limelight up as AEW returns to single picture.

Omega RAMS Limelight into a corner, RAMS him in again, then sits him up top. Omega CHOPS Limelight, then runs, but into a boot! Limelight walks the tightrope to avoid Omega, then springboard RANAS him down! Fans fire up and Limelight crawls, but Omega drags him away! Limelight enziguris but misses as Omega ducks! Omega says he’s too smart for that! Omega reels Limelight in, GERMAN SUPLEX, but Limelight lands on his feet! To hit the enziguri this time! Fans fire up as Limelight and Omega crawl, hot tags to BPJ and Anderson! BPJ springboard tackles Anderson! He hits Omega and Gallows for good measure!

But before they can celebrate, here comes MOXLEY! Omega sees Moxley coming down the bleachers and dares him to do something while he has his back-up. The Maniac gets in and rushes Omega! Anderson and Gallows are after him but he fights them off! Omega hits back and this is still 3v1! They dig their boots into Moxley in a corner, but here comes the LUCHA BROTHERS! Rey Fenix springboards in to crossbody Gallows down! Pentagon goes after Anderson, the Lucha Brothers are getting payback for what they did at the end of last week! Omega is still after Moxley, they brawl with forearms while things spill out of the ring!

Moxley tackles Omega, but here come other AEW wrestlers and security! But while Omega gets away, Moxley hits Mike Verna with a PARADIGM SHIFT! Moxley then runs and DIVES! Direct hit onto Omega and many others! Moxley puts Omega in, but the Bucks show up to end this here! Matt and Nick ask Moxley cool off but he says “Screw you!” The Bucks dare him to do something more then, but the Lucha Brothers get in! The Bucks turn around, and get SUPERKICKS! Then Fenix and Penta brawl with the Good Brothers, Moxley on their side! Omega and Callis bail out, not caring about anyone but themselves! When will Moxley get his shot at revenge on Omega?

AEW presents the Dynamite premiere of The Waiting Room!

Rebel welcomes us back and introduces The Dentist, the Role Model and the face of the AEW Women’s Division, Britt Baker! Britt dances her way in and thanks Reba for that intro. Britt is so excited to have this Dynamite debut! Everyone, check under your seats for a huge surprise from her! GOT YOU! Never gets old. But let’s get serious. Tonight’s guest is huge! It’s Cody Rhodes! He’s so special, right? They want to give him a huge congratulations on his opportunity with TBS with The Go Big Show, airing Thursdays, and you’ll see some crazy stuff on that show. Probably the craziest thing is that there are some big name celebrity judges, and then Cody. No idea how he got that gig, but we’re all happy for him.

Before bringing Cody out, Britt wants to say one more thing. She can’t get this straight: Who is Cody’s guy? Sting? Shaq? Snoop? Make one good choice! Unlike that thing on his neck. Rebel’s talk show laugh is rough as always. But give it up for the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes! Wow, Rebel even has sparklers for him. Cody walks in under the sparklers and the Snoop remix of his theme plays, per the contractual obligations of having Cody on the show. Okay let’s put these out… Cody gives Britt and Rebel a hug, Rebel gets a bit frisky, but Britt congratulates Cody on the announcement of his first child with Brandi. That kid is gonna have an action figure way before anyone else here but who’s counting? Britt says she’s just kidding. There are no fake friends here, just fake teeth.

Britt does want to ask Cody about himself, though. A huge year. Go Big Show, baby Rhodes, let’s talk about it. But wait! Another huge surprise that Britt just thought up right now. A surprise guest! Give it up for… JADE CARGILL! Jade walks in in her shiny new ring gear, and Britt asks if she always wears this just walking around. Jade says she’s “a badass bitch,” she does what she wants. Fair enough. And then she snatches the mic from Cody! Jade says Britt actually doesn’t, and Jade sure doesn’t, and certainly no one else in AEW gives a DAMN if he and Brandi are having a baby. Britt says it’s just nine months of no Brandi. And not to sound corny, Cody did Brandi a huge favor.

But Jade and Shaq are TIRED of waiting. “Where is my damn opponent?!” Brandi should be watching Jade dominate as a REAL bad ass mother. And if Brandi ever returns, Jade will beat dat ass. And then she pie faces Cody!! Uh oh~! Here’s RED VELVET! Who invited this little girl? Jade will get on Velvet’s level and squat down to look her in the eye, as she pushes her, too! Velvet SLAPS back! So Jade SLAPS Velvet! They start scrapping! Britt loves this but the women’s locker room rushes in to stop this! Cody as EVP tells Britt to stop recording this, but Velvet comes back for more! Cody shouts, “Pull the plug!” but cameras keep rolling!

Cody gets Velvet out of here, but then someone replays footage of Britt going after Thunder Rosa! Britt doesn’t mind, she likes rewatching it. But it’s THUNDER ROSA! We all know why Britt likes to have a talk show: Britt and her big nose like to get into other people’s business. But at some point, Britt has to get in the ring and do the work! Rosa talked with Tony Khan, and Khan said a match between them is a huge deal. There needs to be time and a big stage. Rosa says this will be settled the right way. That is why Britt gets to face Rosa on Dynamite, 2/3/21, BEACH BREAK! God has answered Rosa’s prayers and now she gets to beat Britt’s ass!

Britt freaks out and thought she wouldn’t have to face Rosa. But it’s happening! There’s no going back now, so that’s the end of the Waiting Room! Will Britt pray that Beach Break never happens? Or is there no more running from what she’s done to Rosa?

Next week, AEW celebrates Negative One’s birthday!

That’s why Hangman Page is teaming up with The Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds, John Silver & Colt Cabana in a great 8 Man Tag! Will the Good, the Bad, the Hungy and the BOOM BOOM give the gift of winning when they go against Chaos Project and The Hybrid2?

Plus, #HardyParty is going to make the money worth it in a Six Man Tag against Matt Sydal & Top Flight, and Miro gives us the debut of his Kentucky Butler, Chuck Taylor! Then, the Vicious Vixen’s Nyla Rose returns to Dynamite against LEGIT Leyla Hirsch, and after we saw him rough up Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley will be back in action!

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin VS Brian Cage w/ Team Taz!

Who can stop the Path of Cage? So far, no one has. But with Taz, Ricky Starks and even Son of Taz, Hook, in his corner, is it a shoe-in that Cage becomes the Two Belt Machine? Or will the Relentless underdog take Cage to his limits in this New Year’s Smash finale?

AEW returns as Darby makes his entrance and Taz joins commentary to enjoy this. The introductions are made, the TNT title is raised, and this grudge match a long time coming finally begins!

Darby rushes in and dropkicks the leg out then basement dropkicks Cage out! Darby keeps moving and he DIVES to send Cage into railing! He dribbles Cage off the railing, goes back into the ring and builds speed again, to DIVE! But into a SUPLEX! Cage shouts, “WHO BETTA?!” Starks fist-bumps Cage and Cage puts Darby back in the ring. Cage stalks Darby, circles around him then drags Darby up, but Darby SLAPS Cage! Cage CLOBBERS Darby! Cage drags Darby up, trophy lifts him, and then TOSSES him onto the timekeeper’s table! The table is splinters from that crash landing! The ref goes out to check on Darby, he’s somehow okay to continue, so Cage goes out to fetch him.

The ref tells Team Taz to stay back as Cage drags Darby up. Darby is bleeding, and Cage suplexes Darby up to make the blood rush there faster. Cage holds Darby up like that as he goes up the steel steps to the ramp, and then TOSSES Darby into the ring! Cage then dead lifts and SLAMS Darby with one hand! Darby is bleeding, making for a crimson mask on the unpainted half of his face! Cage watches Darby crawl to a corner, then he runs in, to EuroUpper and ROUNDHOUSE, then GERMAN SUPLEX! Darby flops and flounders but Cage stalks over to TOSS Darby into the corner! Darby hits hard, then flops to the mat, and his blood stains the mat!

Fans rally up for Darby as hard as they can but Cage looms over Darby. Cage hauls Darby up, and TOSSES him to the other corner! The ref wants Cage to let off but Cage rains down furious fists! The ref counts, Cage lets off at 4, and he drags Darby up. Darby flops down, fans rally even harder, and Cage sits Darby up for crossface forearms as AEW goes picture in picture!

Cage keeps clobbering Darby with forearms, then lets off as the ref wants to check on Darby. Darby is somehow still in this but Cage scuffs him with his boot. Cage toys with Darby, then shows off the muscles. Darby leaps right up and onto Cage to throw forearms all over the place! Cage RAMS Darby into buckles and Darby crumbles! Cage BOOTS Darby down, then dead lifts him into bicep curls! Cage is just showing off before he TOSSES Darby again! Cover, ONE?! Cage laughs, he didn’t think Darby was conscious. Darby manages to sit up but Cage is right on him for a wrench, clinch, and OVERHEAD SUPLEX! Darby writhes while Cage paces.

Starks sneers and smirks as Cage bumps Darby off buckles and CHOPS him! Cage digs his boot into Darby’s good side, but the ref counts. Cage lets off at 4, rains down rights, trying to bust open the good side so Darby will have a full crimson mask. Cage stomps Darby, drags him back up, and then goes corner to corner as AEW returns to single picture. Cage runs in, but into a boot! Darby goes up and leaps, into a fireman’s carry and F5!! Cover, ONE?!?! Darby surprises Cage again and Team Taz is growing frustrated. Fans are thunderous for Darby as Cage yanks Darby right up to a POWERBOMB! And then ANOTHER BOMB! And ANOTHER! That last one was like a Kevin Nash Jackknife!

Darby sits up to flip Cage off?! Cage hauls Darby back up for a bomb to the ramp!! The ref asks Darby if he wants to stop this mask but Darby just flips Cage off again! Taz is furious on commentary and shouts for Cage to whoop Darby’s ass! Cage drags Darby over to a corner, and dead lift SUPERPLEXES him! Cover, ONE!?!?! How is Darby doing this?! Cage is losing his cool, and he goes out to bring the steel steps around! The ref tells Cage to stop, but Cage positions the steps near the apron. Cage drags Darby to the apron and aims at the steps! Cage fireman’s carries but Darby fights out!

Darby dropkicks Cage but Cage holds ropes! Darby BITES the hands, Cage lets go and falls onto the steps! Cage is on the steel, Darby climbs up the corner, SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Both men are down on the floor and fans are thunderous again! A ring count starts, Taz is furious on commentary all over again, and somehow Darby stirs at 3. Darby pushes himself up at 5, gets to the apron at 6, and drags himself in at 7! Cage uses the steps to stand at 8 and gets in at 9! Darby throws wrist tape away to SLAP Cage! And SLAP! SLAP! Darby runs, springboards, but into a waistlock! Cage flips Darby around but Darby BITES Cage’s face!

Darby takes off his studded belt, runs at Cage, gets around and flips over, THROWBACK STUNNER! The belt adds on, and then Darby uses it to tie up Cage’s legs! Darby shoves Cage over and rains down fists on the back of Cage’s head! The ref backs Darby off but Darby comes back, only for Cage to BASEMENT FLAPJACK him! Darby flounders, Cage breaks free of the belt, but Darby runs in for CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! Cage staggers up, Darby goes to a corner, Darby runs and shotgun dropkicks Cage into buckles! Cover, TWO, but Darby is right to the top rope for DOUBLE STOMPS!

Darby isn’t done, but Hook distracts the ref! Starks YANKS Darby down, but the lights go out! IT’S STIIIIING! Baseball bat shot and a SMACK for Starks! Cage KNEES Darby up top, climbs up and hauls Darby up for a fireman’s carry. Darby fights that off, for a SUPER CRUCIFIX DRIVER!! Cover, Darby wins!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

The Icon helped even the odds, and the underdog is still the champion! Will Hobbs hurries out to back up Taz, Hook and Cage, but the snow still falls! Will Team Taz continue to be left out in the cold so long as Sting is watching over Darby?

My Thoughts:

Another great episode for AEW, and a very good second part to New Year’s Smash! We had a really good opening of PAC VS Kingston with everyone else ringside, and I like that Pac since he’s been gone and needs these wins since AEW is about the records. Archer showing up makes a lot of sense, too, as he still has business with Kingston. But with both of them wanting after Kingston, there is surely going to be PAC VS Archer to see who gets first crack at Kingston going into a PPV like AEW Revolution, or maybe even just Beach Break on 2/3/21. Miro VS Chuck was a good match, but I figured Miro wins because the story of Chuck being his “butler” is more interesting and will surely be more entertaining.

I should’ve known from the moment Callis insisted on separate entrances that the Bucks wouldn’t be joining Omega. Of course, Nick Jackson also suffered a minor leg injury last week, so he wasn’t going to be in shape for any matches tonight. This was a good way of covering that up in kayfabe, even if it pushes the pace up on the story. If not for the injury, I would’ve thought they’d give us more time of Bucks and Omega being friends. Of course, the Bucks did get in at the very end of all the brawling between Moxley, Lucha Brothers, Omega and Good Brothers, so perhaps they aren’t that upset with Omega pulling this little swerve.

And while I don’t want “the band” breaking up after only just reuniting, I would love if AEW could be the gateway to a Triple Threat TRIPLE TAG TITLE match. Bucks are AEW World Tag champs, Lucha Brothers are still AAA World Tag champs, and the Good Brothers are currently Impact Wrestling World Tag champs, it would be insane if one of these legitimately great teams became TRIPLE tag champions. At the very least, it’d make sense if Lucha Brothers returned to Impact as they were only just there in 2018 to 2019 and were Impact tag champs just the once.

FTR VS Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt was very good, and it was an interesting twist for Stunt to low blow Dax before Tully cheated him out of a win. I wonder if FTR brings that up before giving us the rematch, but with Luchasaurus in with JB per the usual combination. Though I could see Stunt wanting to be back in, just in JB’s spot. This feud is definitely only extending to build tag contenders on the side while The Bucks are busy with the Omega story. The same goes for the Inner Circle having a Triple Threat Tag within their own ranks. That is going to be a great match, but now that Jericho and MJF have declared for the Tag Division, they’re definitely going to win and go on a run up the rankings.

Deeb VS Conti was a great match, but AEW and TNT still need to figure out how they can go picture in picture and NOT have to go to full commercial. Conti got that monkey flip to cover and then it goes away, I almost thought Deeb was going to win while we were on break. Deeb retains because for one, it’s the NWA title, it won’t change hands until it’s on an NWA program. Plus, Conti is still very young and so is her career, she will have plenty of time to build into a great champion. The Dark Order had a good segment with Hangman Page, but if they’re posing the proposition here, I have a feeling Hangman doesn’t #JoinDarkOrder.

The Waiting Room was alright as far as the talk show portion, as Britt literally reused material from Dark to mock Cody. But Jade Cargill getting in Cody’s face, then brawling with Velvet was a much better segment. As was Rosa calling out Britt and finally giving us the match between them for Beach Break. That match should be treated as an unofficial contender’s match, the winner moving on to challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championships. That probably means it’ll be Britt, but perhaps with help from Rebel.

And then the TNT Championship was a great match, especially once Cage tossed Darby through the table and Darby was bleeding. Darby proved his superhuman durability, and it was great for Sting to reinforce him against Team Taz. That tag match has to happen for AEW Revolution. Otherwise, what is Sting really doing here?

My Score: 9.4/10

Jon Moxley heads to the ring!

Indianapolis, Indiana fires up as the NEW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion walks in from the back of the crowd! The Maniac shocked the world when he defeated Tetsuya Naito in Chicago and added NJPW’s top prize to his already incredible list of accolades. Moxley goes to the ring, gets the mic, and the fans chant for him as he says, “One of the first championships I ever won, y’know, Salvation Army Community Center at Fountain Square right here in Indianapolis.” The fans cheer that! Moxley continues by saying even back then 20 years ago, he was swimming up stream, never had help.

In fact, a lot of people tired to tell him what he can and can’t do, what he can and can’t accomplish. His words to those people now is the same as back then: kiss his ass and watch him! Watch as he climbs mountain after mountain after mountain. Because being great is not about what others say, it’s about what’s inside. Now, if you didn’t know, this is THE IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The fans chant “You Deserve It!” and Moxley say this title is steeped in history, illustrious to the extreme, and he has been chasing it for five years. Five years of pain, heartache, wins and losses, pints of sweat and blood, thousands of miles across the ocean.

Five years ago, people said Moxley holding this title, and live on American TV, was impossible. But it wasn’t impossible. Not if they knew what was inside Moxley. That is what this is all about. When your back is against he wall, how deep can you dig? When you feel you have nothing left, choking on your own blood, how deep are you willing to dig and how far are you willing to go? Are you willing to dare to show the world how great you are? THAT is what AEW is about! The fans cheer that, too! Moxley says this brings him to his point: The Don Callis Family. The fans boo now, but Moxley continues.

There are very talented individuals in league with Don Callis. Don Callis is a creep. The fans cheer that! Moxley says he has no time for Callis, but he is feeding these guys lies and those guys are buying it. And then those guys put a hit out and tried to hurt Moxley’s friend and teammate, Bryan Danielson. Now, if you’re putting a target on Bryan’s back, you might as well put one on Moxley’s. You wanna get violent? You wanna be tough guys? Well, you’re welcome to come find Moxley, he’ll be here all night. But he suspects that maybe, he’s not their type. What he could do is run up on them with a tire iron. He could run them over in the parking lot.

But he gets the sense that that wont’ teach the DCF anything. So he’ll pick the biggest, baddest, meanest one of all of ’em, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, and challenge Hobbs to a match one week from tonight in the main event of Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida. Hobbs will accept, because in that match, Hobbs will find out just how out of his depths he is stepping to the IWGP World Champion. Because Moxley won’t make it quick or easy. He will drag Hobbs to the deepest waters that there are, and Hobbs will look around and see no shore. When he asks the ref for the rescue, Hobbs will know the difference between him and Moxley, and that Callis is feeding him lies.

Hobbs will know that he, like everyone else in this business, NO ONE can touch Moxley! There are a lot of great wrestlers in this world, but there is and only ever will be ONE Jon Moxley! The fans fire up for that, but will Hobbs survive the homecoming at Daily’s Place?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

“Last week, somebody attacked me in the dark because they were too afraid to face me in the light. But as the CEO, I always get right back up. And as the CEO, I can’t wait to pay back that b*tch that attacked me last week. Lights off, huh? That sounds a little too familiar, Julia Hart.” Mercedes didn’t think Julia was the kind to be a coward. Or maybe, it was someone who wants us to think it’s Julia? Maybe it’s someone who doesn’t wanna face Mercedes when she’s healthy. Either way, Mercedes puts the entire division on notice, and she will watch that Mixed Tag Match. But remember this: There’s a price to pay when you mess with Mone.

Mixed Tag Match: Adam “Edge” Copeland & Willow Nightingale VS Brody King & Julia Hart!

Speaking of that Mixed Tag, Dynamite is about to get Rated R as the TNT Champion and the Babe with the Power are stepping to the King of Death and the TBS Champion! Will Copeland & Willow have the edge going into Dynasty? Or will even now, The House Always Win?

Wait! Willow is down and out! A medic checks her but she says she’s fine. Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway aren’t so sure, but there is Dynasty to think about. And then the lights go out in the arena! And when they come back up, surprise! Brody is in the ring and he CLOBBERS Edge! Julia laughs from the stage as Brody TOSSES Edge out. The fans hoot and bark as Brody whips Edge hard into the barriers! Brody CHOPS Edge, stalks him, then whips him into more barriers! Brody makes Edge take a seat, fires off forearms, then hoots as he gets space. The fans hoot along and Brody comes back, to CROSSBODY Edge against the LEDs!

Brody stands, the ref reprimands but this isn’t even a match yet! Did the House just take out their enemies in quick fashion? Edge crawls towards the ring, he isn’t gonna let the House have their way! Edge drags himself up to the apron and into the ring, and the fans fire up as the bell rings! Brody runs up to SPLASH in the corner! Edge falls over, Brody storms around, then Brody drags Edge up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Brody CHOS Edge, has him on ropes, and CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Brody steps back, and Julia gets a cheap shot in! Then she CHOKES Edge while the ref is still busy with Brody! Brody storms up on Edge, suplexes high and hard, then stalks up behind Edge. Brody drags Edge up, ROCKS him, and Edge ends up in a corner. Brody digs his boots in, the ref counts again, but Brody lets off at 4. Edge sits down in the corner and Brody gives him scuffing, toying kicks. Brody lets off to stand Edge up, and CHOP him down! Brody CHOKES Edge on ropes again, but lets off as the ref counts.

Edge sputters, Brody drags him around, and Brody whips Edge hard into the corner! Edge falls, Brody storms up and stands on Edge’s face, but the ref counts. Brody steps back, Edge goes to the apron, but Julia is there to CHOKE him! The ref is none the wiser and Julia mocks the fans. Brody has Edge under ropes for the GUILLOTINE CATAPULT! Brody drags Edge back up, and CHOPS him to a corner. Brody CHOPS again, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Brody hoists Edge up top. Brody climbs up to rain down fists! Brody only goes to three before he hauls Edge up, but Edge fights the superplex!

The fans fire up as Edge and Brody trade body shots. Edge then HEADBUTTS away on Brody, and BITES his forehead! Edge DECKS Brody off the corner, then adjusts. Brody stands, Edge FLYING LARIATS! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Julia coaches Brody, he sits up to fire a forearm! Edge fires back, they go shot for shot, then Brody CHOPS! Edge CHOPS! They CHOP, throw forearms, and the fans fire up behind Edge! Edge kicks and IMP- NO, Brody throws him away! Edge dodges the lariat to LARIAT! Brody stays up so Edge runs up to clothesline in a corner! And again! And again!

Edge fires shots, runs side to side, then BOOTS Brody! The fans fire up as Brody leans on the ropes! Edge runs again, for another BOOT! Edge huffs and puffs and he brings Brody around, IMPALER! Cover, TWO! Brody is still in this and Julia coaches him up. Edge stays on Brody, but Brody TOSSES him to the corner! Edge BOOTS back, goes up, and FLYING BLOCKBUSTERS! The fans fire up as Edge rises, and he has a wild look as he goes to the corner. Edge runs in, but Brody LARIATS him down! Julia is fired up, and Brody drags Edge to a corner. Brody storms around as he hoots, then he runs corner to corner to CANNONBALL but only gets buckles!

The fans fire up as Edge and Brody are both down! Julia coaches Brody, the fans rally, and here comes Willow! Taped up as she is, Willow’s on the corner! Brody drags Edge up and in, but Edge reaches out! Willow tags in! She goes up and she CROSSBODIES Brody! Then she chases after Julia! Julia says no no no, but then Edge SPEARS Brody! Willow hoots now, the fans join in, and Willow gives Brody a CANNONBALL! Julia runs in with a chain! CHAIN PUNCH!! The fans boo as Julia says the House Always Wins! Edge LARIATS Brody out of the ring, but Julia clamps on the HARTLESS LOCK! Willow is OUT, The House of Black wins!

Winners: Brody King & Julia Hart, by submission

The Princess of the Black Throne made sure to have an ace up her sleeve to take this one from Willow! But wait! Here comes Mone! And she has a chair! Julia laughs as she slips away, taking her title with her. The House of Black won tonight, but will they establish their Dynasty?

As for Mone and Willow, well Mone still has the chair and is considering her options. Edge slides back in, so Mone stands down. Edge shakes Mone’s hand, long time no see. Mone still wants to go Double or Nothing, but will she be facing the Keeper of Secrets? Or will it be a long awaited rematch with the Babe with the Power?

Backstage interview with Samoa Joe.

Renee Paquette says we’re just four days away from Dynasty, a PPV where the AEW World Championship will be on the line 1v1, Samoa Joe VS Swerve Strickland. Renee says that in this situation, just Joe and Swerve, how does Joe see Swerve as an opponent? Well, first, Joe viewed Swerve as a worthy adversary. Someone who some day might be a great champion. But for now, he’s just a nuisance. Joe says Swerve is not someone who has overwhelming speed, strength, size, no. He’s just someone who keeps standing back up after getting knocked down. No matter how many times Joe puts Swerve in the dirt, Swerve just gets back up.

To Joe, that doesn’t seem like a prerequisite to becoming a champion, that’s a punching bag. Then Renee wants to run this back to last week on Dynamite. Joe is always calm, cool, collected and in the driver’s seat. But after last week, Swerve getting his shot in on Joe, then Swerve & Nana holding up the AEW World Championship, Joe’s reaction… Walk us through what that was. As expected, Joe was worried his property was in the hands of someone who will never possess it. That maybe this belt would need to be disinfected before it could be TV ready. You don’t know where Nana’s been!

As for Swerve, Joe will focus on his track record and what he represents. It seems that with every title Swerve has challenged for, he has come up short. Is that not right? Seems like Swerve’s a choke artist. Every championship, every opportunity, every time he tries, he comes just so close, then swerves off target. History will repeat itself at Dynasty, as at Dynasty, Joe will do what he always does, and that is destroy the opposition, cement his legacy as the greatest AEW World Champion of all time, and for Swerve, “my friend, unfortunately you are a choke artist. And come Dynasty, you won’t have to worry about it. I’ll be the one choking you out instead.”

The One True King of Wrestling has spoken, but will he still end up dethroned by The Realest?

AEW takes a closer look at The Young Bucks VS FTR Part 4.

But as the highlights of ladder matches and of All In London 2023 play, the Bucks themselves interrupt. This package sucks, who edited this together? Cut, cut! The video stops, and we cut to gorilla. Matthew Jackson “apologizes” to FTR, but tonight’s episode is already running short on time, so they gotta bump this from the show. But Matthew promises, the full package will go on social media. And Nicholas sure hopes FTR is watching, because they’re about to beat their friends’ asses in a really cool Six Man Tag. And yeah, it’s a tune-up for Dynasty! A ladder match for the tag titles? Are you kidding? The Bucks perfected that match!

And the Bucks will then become AEW’s first-ever THREE TIME World Tag Team Champions. But what about tonight, Rainmaker? Kazuchika Okada says, “Hey, Pac! You will not make it to Dynasty. You are a dead man!” Cue the music, time for the badass entrance using that elevator thing. But will the New Elite really be rolling into St. Louis with momentum? Or are they underestimating the Top Guys’ allies?

Six Man Tag: Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks VS PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Daniel Garcia!

The trios sort out and The Rainmaker starts against The Bastard as a preview of their Continental Championship match. The fans rally behind Pac, but then The Bucks CLOBBER him, and Okada BLASTS Pac’s corner! The fans boo as The Elite stomps away on Pac, then the Bucks stand down. Okada tags Nick, he storms up but Pac SOBATS! KICKS! And SOBATS! Pac runs to SHOTGUN BOOT! The fans fire up and Pac tags Penta. They double whip, double hip toss, then they coordinate, STANDING MOONSAULT LEG DROP COMBO! Cover, TWO! Penta runs up to KICK Nick in the leg! The fans rally with “CERO! MIEDO!” as Penta has Nick on ropes.

Penta whips, Nick reverses, and Matt gets a cheap shot! Penta GAMANGIRIS Matt, but Okada BOOTS Penta down! The fans boo as Nick distracted the ref the entire time. Nick stomps Penta, tags Matt, and Matt rains down fists! The fans boo, but Matt tags Nick back in. The Bucks double whip Penta to a corner, then Matt runs in, only for Penta to TOSS him out! Nick runs up, Penta makes him handstand on the corner, and Penta SUPERKICKS! Nick staggers, Penta tags Garcia! Garcia rallies on Nick, wrenches and clinches, HALF HATCH! The fans fire up as Garcia clotheslines in a corner! Garcia goes up, and he rains down fists!

The fans count all the way to nine, then Garcia winds up to DO HIS DANCE! Garcia lets off, runs up on Okada and BLASTS him! Garcia LARIATS Nick, whips him to ropes, but Nick reverses. Okada trips Garcia and drags him out! But Garcia ROCKS Okada first! Matt runs up, Garcia DECKS him! But Nick PENALTY KICKS from the apron! Nick BLASTS Pac off the apron, Matt YANKS Penta down, and The Elite attacks while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Matt drags Penta up to whip him into railing! Penta tumbles over into the front row! Nick sends Pac into railing, then soaks up the heat. Matt throws hands on Pac, and he mocks Garcia’s dance, too! Okada puts Garcia in the ring for Nick, Matt mocks the front row, and Nick rains down fists on Garcia! Nick goes all the way to nine, so also mock the dance! Nick lets off to tell everyone that’s a FINE! Nick stomps Garcia, kicks him around, then he tags Okada. Okada storms up to CLUB Garcia, then he drags Garcia around. Okada snapmares Garcia, runs and basement DROPKICKS! The bucks applaud while Okada stands over Garcia.

Okada tags Matt, Matt drags Garcia up and whips him into the corner. Matt runs up but into an ELBOW! Garcia storms up, but Matt scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Nick tags in, slingshot LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Garcia grits his teeth, he pie faces  Nick, but Nick drops a knee on Garcia’s back. Matt gets on a mic to talk to Taz, and to also say hi to Excalibur and Tony Schiavone. Dynamite returns with Taz in the ring.

The Suplex Machine promised Chris Jericho to set up a meeting with Hook, so he’s here as moderator as Lionheart makes his entrance. Jericho joins Taz in the ring, followed by Hook. Taz has the mic while fans chant “HOOK! HOOK!” Taz says he’s just here to make sure things go nice and easy. There have been some issues between both Jericho and Hook. That said, Jericho has the floor. Jericho has the mic to say he’s known Taz for 30 years, and he appreciates Taz getting Hook to come out here. And to Hook, Jericho thanks him for coming out here. Jericho just wants to clear up some things.

The reason Jericho pulled Hook off the apron last week was not to mess with Shibata. Shibata ended up collateral damage. Jericho just wanted to get Hook’s attention and let him know it felt like Hook wasn’t listening to him as much as he should. The fans boo and Hook eats chips while Jericho says he is doing this all for Hook. Some say Jericho’s the greatest of all time at this. Others talk about the learning tree. Jericho says he IS the learning tree. The fans boo more but Jericho wants Hook to think about the people who listened to Jericho’s “perfect parables,” his pearls of wisdom. Every single one of them has gotten to that next level.

MJF, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, and so many more! Everyone that has come into the “Jericho Vortex” has come out the other side a better performer, a better wrestler, and to be honest, a better person. That is what Jericho wants for Hook. He wants them to scale to the highest of heights together. They can reach the top of Wizard Mountain so they can both breathe in the rarified air of Jericho and reach the top! Jericho knows he can get Hook there. So what does Hook say? Is he ready to put the animosity aside so he can sit under the brilliant branches of the learning tree?

The fans are booing and saying no. What does Hook say? “No!” The fans cheer and Jericho looks disappointed. What does Hook mean, “no?” Hook says he doesn’t need Jericho’s help. Dude, c’mon. Don’t be stupid. Taz stops Jericho there, but Jericho tells Taz to stop. The fans boo but Jericho says he’s doing what Taz should’ve done 30 years ago and give this kid some proper guidance! Seriously! But this is what Jericho is talking about. He needs to get Hook away from all this dead weight that’s been holding him back his entire life. Taz says Jericho needs to calm down but Jericho says Taz needs to stop.

Jericho again tells Hook that he has had people his whole life telling him how good he is, how he’s a future world champion, including Taz, his father. But Jericho says Hook is not as good as he thinks he is! The fans boo more and Taz speaks up again, only for Jericho to SHOVE him! The fans boo even harder, and now Hook is mad! Hook drops the mic, he storms up to Jericho, and then he SHOVES Jericho into a corner! Hook tells Jericho that he crossed the line. You wanna see how good Hook is? He’ll go another round with him, anytime, anywhere! Now get outta his ring! Jericho says Hook doesn’t mean that, but Hook says it again, get outta his ring!

Hook lets Jericho go and the fans sing “Hey hey hey, Goodbye~!” Jericho slowly takes his leave, trying to smooth things over, but it’s too late for that. When and where will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil get his hooks into Lionheart?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland.

Renee now sits down with the #1 contender to the AEW World Championship. In just a matter of days, Swerve’s career could change. Swerve could become the NEW AEW World Champion at Dynasty. In order to do that, he has to beat Joe. We heard from Joe earlier, what is Swerve’s reaction to Joe calling him a “choke artist?” Swerve chuckles at that. He’ll ask back, does Renee agree with Joe that Swerve’s a choke artist? No, she does not. He doesn’t think so, either. Joe talked about Swerve stumbling, title opportunity after opportunity. He isn’t wrong about that. Swerve has stumbled out the gate, stumbling throughout his career.

But guess what? Swerve’s always fallen forward into success. Just in this past year alone, Swerve was put in a coffin, got back up. He got stapled, body thrown into barbed wire, and he got back up. Not but a couple weeks ago, a man punched him in the face with a chain, bloodied him, and Swerve is still here. Swerve always gets back up. That’s his military upbringing, his warrior ethos: never give up, never quit. So Joe, call Swerve whatever you want. Punching bag, choke artist, a parasite, but guess what? This Sunday at Dynasty, he’ll also be calling Swerve the NEW AEW World Champion. “Whose house?”

Renee asks what makes Swerve so confident about Sunday? Swerve thinks about it, and says with all due respect, it isn’t something he should be answering to Renee. He should be saying this to Samoa Joe. Swerve takes off the mic, takes off his jacket and his hat to get up in the camera. Swerve promises to tell Joe this to his face, in that ring, tonight! Swerve storms off, but will Joe bother to meet him out there?

Rosa SMEARS it all over Storm’s crazy face! Rosa gets payback for Storm disrespecting the face paint!

Storm scrambles away, Luther doing his best to clean her up. The Storm and the Thunder are about to clash, which force of nature will reign over the AEW Women’s Division?

Backstage interview with Bullet Club Gold.

Renee is now with the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions, but she has to get the Gunns to stop tapping the mic. This is a very exciting time in AEW as Dynasty is just days away. Well, Jay White, I’ve already beaten the life outta you. And as for those other two, hell, I’ve been beating the hell out of them since they were little kids. You called down the thunder, well now you’ve got it.” Anthony Bowens says, “That’s right, Jay White. You wanna fight? This Sunday on Dynasty, you want us to put the AEW Trios titles on the line? Well guess what? We accept your challenge. So bring your little Ass Boys, bring your big golden bat, because guess what?

“The Scissor King has got a big golden bat of your own, and you can choke on it!” Max Caster says that’s right, “Twinkblade and the Ass Boys. You guys wanna make challenges? Well let us in on the fun, too. Just for old times, let’s run it back! Two on two, Acclaimed and the Ass Boys on Collision this week, and we’re gonna beat your ass, I’ve got no doubts about it! Because…” “EVERYONE! LOVES! THE ACCLAIMED!” The stakes have been raised, who will establish their Dynasty in the Zero Hour?

Roddy finishes by saying, “When we step into the ring, I am going to break you, and I am going to end you forever!” Another friendship turned sour all because of pride and greed, but will the Savior of the Backbreaker be Kyle’s doom? Or will there be no End of Heartache when Kyle takes the International Championship away from The Undisputed Kingdom?

Swerve heads to the ring!

Just as he promised, and with Nana by his side, The Realest is here. He has the music cut to say that this Sunday in St. Louis, the main event of Dynasty, it is Swerve challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. The fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve gets in the ring and says he was asked earlier tonight, how does he believe he’s going to defeat Joe? That answer is simple: remember last week, when he knocked Joe on his ass and had him scurrying like a little b*tch? Joe had fear in his eyes! He was quivering! Swerve was standing there, the title above his head, and it looked mighty good on him.

Joe showed Swerve everything he needed to see. Joe was scared! The fact that Joe knows Swerve’s gonna beat him and win the title. Swerve’s just out here with the people of Indianapolis, he’s just waiting on Joe to come out here so he can say all this to Joe’s face, like a man. So Swerve’s here, Nana’s here, so Joe, bring your Sweet Tooth ass out here! Swerve waits, and here comes Joe! But security stands in the way! This is the man Swerve wants, and he says he just wants to talk, so he can knock Joe’s ass out again! The cluster of Joe and the security guards gets closer and closer, so Swerve goes up and up! Swerve SUPER STOMPS the whole thing apart!!

The fans lose their minds as Swerve stares Joe down! Swerve says he is taking this from Joe, and then the fists fly! Joe whips Swerve into steel steps! Joe puts Swerve in the ring, fetches his belt, and says Swerve’s taking nothing from him! Joe storms into the ring, smirks as Nana checks on Swerve, and then Joe mocks Nana’s dance. Nana turns around and says hold on now! Joe storms up on Nana, but Swerve gets up to BOOT Joe! Swerve aims, for a HOUSE CALL! Joe is down but Swerve goes up! The fans are thunderous, but Joe trips Swerve up! Nana panics as Joe tells Swerve that he is NOT that man!

Joe HEADBUTTS Swerve, tucks him in, and hits the MUSCLE BUSTER!! Joe looms over Swerve, picks up the title, and holds it up high. Will this be the scene at the end of Dynasty? Or will Swerve finally have his moment?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite as the go-home to Dynasty, great escalating of things between Blackpool Combat Club and Don Callis Family. Moxley has a really good opening promo, and he surprisingly calls out Hobbs. Ospreay has an awesome main event with Claudio, and of course Ospreay wins to have momentum going into Dynasty. And I do appreciate that he is against how the Don Callis Family is doing things. They didn’t need to beat up Claudio, he isn’t even part of Dynasty, and now that even backfired as there’s going to be a BIG tag match on Collision as one last go-home to Dynasty. Pretty sure Bryan & Claudio win that so Bryan has momentum, too, making Dynasty’s dream match much more unpredictable.

Good promo from Mercedes Mone, and I like that her hair was colored to match the new Dynamite colors. But also, good detail for her to think how I was thinking, the attack on her could’ve just been Willow making us think it was Julia. Really good Mixed Tag with how someone, apparently Julia, attacked Willow beforehand. It ended up mostly an Edge VS Brody match that way, but good heroic entrance by Willow. But of course the House cuts corners to win, and great save by Mone to run Julia off. This does tease Mone VS Julia but I’m very certain the go-home math says Willow wins the TBS Championship to make Double or Nothing the rematch from the NJPW Strong Women’s title tournament.

Also good stuff in the AEW Women’s World title story as Deonna VS Mariah was a great match. Good win for Deonna, but of course Storm attacks her and that brings out Rosa. Rosa stands tall here, so the math indicates Storm retains. But at the same time, there’s still potential for Storm and Mina Shirakawa to fight over Mariah as opposed to fighting over a title. Or maybe they’ll fight over both? After all, May is Double or Nothing, so it could be a bit of both. Or like, Storm retains the title, but Mina “wins” Mariah to her side, #RoseGold does stuff in AEW or even ROH, and Storm will be without one of her insurance policies.

Great stuff in the story of New Elite. I actually liked The Bucks interrupting the hype package because it started too FTR friendly, and we got a great Six Man Tag. Of course The New Elite beat Pac, Penta & Garcia, but I was kinda hoping FTR was going to make the save to better set up the Six Man Tag I honestly thought we were getting tonight. Pac & FTR VS Okada & Bucks has to go really wonky, though, that’s a lot of go-home math that affects many titles. Meanwhile, Jericho’s face to face with Hook went about as expected in that Jericho ruins it cuz of his ego. Him shoving Taz was the unexpected part but it got Hook mad, and so we’re definitely getting Hook VS Jericho for the FTW Championship at some point.

Good promo from Roddy to hype up his match with Kyle, maybe Kyle has a tune-up match during Collision or Rampage this Saturday so he has momentum going into the match. Great match from Cassidy VS Shane, and while Shane Taylor Promotions interfered a lot, Cassidy winning was of course happening. STP beating him down, and Trent stopping the save was some wild stuff, though. A little surprised no one’s interviewed Trent, or tried and then get shot down by Trent, but him still wearing the “win the big one” shirt kinda implies what broke him. The moment they didn’t win the big one, after all the losses leading up to this, Trent finally gave up on Best Friends.

I am very happy that Acclaimed VS Bang Bang Gang is going to be Winners Take All for the trios titles. Good promos from both sides, but I just hope the winners will bring their AEW and ROH titles to both Collision and ROH TV on Honor Club. We finally got Kyle Fletcher back on ROH TV, the other male champions of ROH need to show up. And uh, for that matter, if Wheeler Yuta is unable to compete at all with his injury, Tony Khan needs to figure out what to do with the ROH Pure Championship. But I think we all know what’s going down with the AEW World Championship. Great promos from both Joe and Swerve, then a great final confrontation to close the night. And per the math, Joe stands tall, meaning Swerve is taking that title at Dynasty.

My Score: 8.9/10

AEW Collision bleeds over a bit.

Bryan Danielson is still down on the ramp after Konosuke Takeshita’s Brainbuster and the medics check him. The battle with Will Ospreay at Dynasty is still in the books, but what condition will Bryan be in?

Backstage interview with Hook and Katsuyori Shibata.

Lexi Nari is with the FTW Champion and The Wrestler, and notes we saw Hook make the save for Shibata during Collision against Shane Taylor Promotions. At the same time, Hook is about to face Shane Taylor himself with the FTW title on the line. Knowing what Shane’s capable of, what is Hook’s strategy going into that match? Shibata uses his voice-to-text translator say, “Pardon the interruption… Hook, I’ll have your back tonight.” Hook appreciates that, but even knowing what Shane’s capable of, Hook’s got his own way of handling this. Shibata says bet, and Hook gives him the fist bump.

FTW Championship: Hook VS Shane Taylor w/ Anthony Ogogo!

The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil knows he’s up against a bad, bad man, but this is FTW Rules! Everyone who fights for this title is a bad, bad man, so will Hook prove he’s the baddest? Or will Shane #SendHook back to New York without his gold?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who’s really the biggest badass in AEW!

Shane staggers along railing, but Hook puts him in the ring. The fans cheer again, Hook storms in, but Shane JABS! JABS! And BODY SHOTS! Hook falls, sputters, and the ref has Shane stay back to check. That could’ve been a liver shot but Shane hauls Hook up. Shane CHOPS Hook in the career, and Hook sputters as he goes along ropes. Shane taunts Hook, puts him in a corner, and CHOPS again! Hook staggers to another corner, Shane taunts him, “I thought you were the man!” Shane BODY BLOWS again and Hook coughs. Hook fires hands in return, backs Shane down, then reels Shane in! Shane’s too big for the suplex, though!

Shane shoves Hook, and BODY BLOWS! Hook falls to the mat, but Shane drags him back up. Shane HEADBUTTS Hook, Hook is dazed, and Shane says he thought Hook was a killer. Shane says to bow down to the killer that’s badder! Shane CHOPS Hook, suplexes him, and hangs him out to dry! Hook sputters and falls, Shane soaks up heat, and Battle of the Belts goes picture in picture.

Shane drags Hook up, TOSSES him out, then goes out to bring Hook up. Shane whips Hook hard into steel steps! Hook writhes, Shane storms around, then Shane drags Hook up. Shane makes Hook take a seat in a corner, then runs up to KNEE Hook against railing! Hook falls over, but he’s somehow still conscious! Shane drags Hook up and hangs him out to dry on the railing! Hook sputters and falls to the floor, and Shane talks more trash. Shane drags Hook up, puts him in the ring, and BOTB returns to single picture. Shane has Hook on the apron, for the APRON LEG DROP! Hook sputters more while Shane seethes.

Shane storms in, talks trash on the fans, then soaks up the heat. Shane drags Hook up, puts him in the corner, and BODY SHOTS! BODY SHOT! HAYMAKER! Hook slumps down in the corner but the fans rally up. Shane waits on Hook, Hook says he’s still in this! Shane stands Hook up to BODY SHOT, BODY SHOT and BODY SHOT! Then Shane ROCKS Hook again, again, and AGAIN! Hook flops back down while Shane storms around. The ref checks with Hook, Shane says to call it already! Hook says no, he’s still in this! Shane drags Hook up, tells Hook to quit or he gets send home in a body bag!

The fans boo as Shane whips corner to corner, hard! Hook sputters, Shane runs in, but Hook dodges! Shane hits buckles, Hook hurries to waistlock! Shane fights the grip, then ROCKS Hook! Hook ROCKS Shane back! And ROCKS him again and again! The fans fire up as Hook fires more shots! Hook runs to LARAIT! Shane stays up, Hook LARIATS again! Hook runs, ducks the haymaker, and GERMAN SUPLEXES!! Shane staggers up in a daze, and Hook clinches to EXPLODER!! Hook covers, TWO!! Shane is still tougher than that and Hook is beside himself! Hook runs up in the corner, but into an URENAGE!

Shane drags Hook into the drop zone, goes up the corner, and he SPLASHES down! Cover, TWO?!? Hook survives and shocks Shane! Shane storms around, the fans rally up, and Shane drags Hook up. Shane slaps Hook around, then winds up, but Hook dodges! And dodges! REDRUM!! Shane is caught, he flails around, but then he fights up! Shane RAMS Hook into buckles, but Hook still holds on! Shane RAMS Hook in again, but Hook still has his hooks in! BACKPACK SENTON!! Shane is free, but then Hook springs up, REDRUM!! He even traps the arms!! Shane flails, reaches out, but he’s fading! Shane’s OUT, Hook wins!!

Winner: Hook, by submission (still FTW Champion)

The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil does it again! He takes damage and finds a way to win! But now, will he have that face to face meeting with Chris Jericho this Wednesday Night Dynamite?

Backstage interview with Rocky Romero.

Lexi is with Azucar as he is just moments away from his Title Eliminator match for the International Championship. However, Lexi wants to know if he knows what’s going on with Best Friends. Rocky says Chuck, Trent and Orange Cassidy are like brothers to him, and yet he has no idea what’s going on there. But right now, he can’t really worry about that, he has to focus on the match with Roderick Strong. When Rocky wins, he’ll be one step closer to fulfilling his destiny of becoming International Champion. Kyle O’Reilly pops in, wishes Rocky luck, and then heads back out. Will Azucar be able to get one over on the Savior of the Backbreaker? Or will he just end up broken?

AEW International Championship Eliminator: Roderick Strong w/ The Undisputed Kingdom VS Rocky Romero!

While Azucar is confident, it was just last night on Rampage that Roddy took offense to him and Kyle O’Reilly even thinking there was a chance this match doesn’t go The Undisputed Kingdom’s way. Will Roddy prove them all wrong by crossing Rocky off the list? Or is this were The Kingdom starts to crumble?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans are behind Rocky as he and Roddy tie up. Rocky waistlocks, Roddy wrenches to wristlock, but Rocky rolls, wrenches and wristlocks back. Roddy tries to pull hair but Rocky twists the wrist. Roddy pulls on Rocky’s ear to have the headlock and takeover. Rocky fights up, pops out the back, and then steps over. Rocky hooks an arm but Roddy fights off the takedown to hip toss and cover. ONE, but Roddy facelocks. Rocky fights up, pries at the hold, but Roddy holds on tight. Rocky still fights his way out of the hold, wristlocks and wrenches again, then YANKS the arm.

Rocky digs his boot in, lets off as the ref counts, then stands Roddy up. Rocky snapmares and runs to basement dropkick! Roddy flounders, Rocky covers, ONE!! Rocky goes out to PENALTY KICK from the apron! Rocky leaps to DIVING STOMP! Roddy writhes, Rocky gives more Latino Heat, and BOTB goes picture in picture.

Rocky tells The Kingdom to back off, and so does the ref. Taven mocks Rocky’s Latino Heat, but Rocky puts Roddy in the ring. Rocky storms up on Roddy to KICK his leg! Roddy hobbles to a corner, Rocky CHOPS him and then follows him. Rocky ROCKS Roddy, ROCKS him again, but Roddy bails out. Rocky goes after Roddy on the apron, but Roddy lifts! Rocky fights that to then elbow Roddy! But Rocky has to watch out for The Kingdom lurking! Roddy BOOTS Rocky, then POSTS him! Rocky falls to the floor, Roddy hops down and he drags Rocky up. Roddy soaks up the heat, then he digs his boots into Rocky! The ref counts, Roddy lets off at 4, but just switches feet! The ref counts more, Roddy steps away, and Rocky sputters along the ropes. Rocky is still in this but Roddy stays on Rocky with stomps. Roddy stomps and stomps as BOTB returns to single picture. Roddy goes back to the motorcycle stretch but the fans rally again. Rocky fights up, fights back, and he KICKS Roddy’s leg! And KICKS! Roddy CLUBS Rocky, eggs Rocky on, but Rocky roars! Rocky fires forearms, then UPPERCUTS! Roddy survives again and Rocky is beside himself! The Kingdom is also worried, they rally up for Roddy. The fans rally for Rocky as he goes out to the apron.

Rocky climbs but The Kingdom is lurking again. The ref tells them to back off, but Roddy ROCKS Rocky first! Roddy has Rocky up top but Rocky DECKS Roddy! Rocky adjusts, Roddy stands, METE- STRONG KNEE!! Cover, Roddy wins!

Winner: Roderick Strong, by pinfall (denies Rocky Romero a title opportunity)

The Kingdom helps Roddy, whether Roddy will say it that way or not. Kyle is here to celebrate with his friend, but he also checks on his other friend in Rocky. Kyle helps Rocky up to his feet, and wants the fans to give it up for Rocky. But then Wardlow LARIATS Rocky, and The Kingdom stomps away! Kyle has them stop, this isn’t cool! But then Roddy STRONG KNEES Kyle down?!? The fans boo as Roddy tells Kyle that he could do it on his own, but there’s only ONE man that can be International Champion! Kyle made the wrong decision! Roddy’s arrogance just ended his friendship with Kyle, will Kyle make Roddy pay for that?

Backstage interview with Serena Deeb.

Lexi Nair is with the Professor of Professional Wrestling and notes how last week, Serena walked on stage after Yuka Sakazaki’s return victory. Why? Serena says she was sitting in the back, watching that impressive match, and thought to herself that she was watching a great pro-wrestler. Someone that Serena would love to tear it up with. Tonight, the Professor is here on BOTB, but has no championship opportunity. She’s not sweating it, though. Since her return, Serena is undefeated. She checked the rankings, and The Professor is sitting pretty at Number 3! So week by week, she’s climbing her way up to inevitably become champion.

Serena tells Yuka, that was an invitation. To where? Into the Deeb Dojo! Serena will show Yuka that Serena is better, and that she is what she says she is: The Professor of Pro-Wrestling! Serena wants to test herself against the Wrestling Magical Girl, but who will be the one taking a step closer to a title opportunity?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynasty!

After Roddy’s sudden rejection of Kyle O’Reilly, they are now going to battle over the International Championship! It’s the fight neither man wanted, but will Kyle give Roddy payback for what he did with interest?

ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena w/ Billie Starkz VS Red Velvet!

The Fallen Goddess is 49-0 after defeating Hikaru Shida on Supercard of Honor last week, and when she says she’s the Forever Champion, she means that. But will “forever” come to a crashing halt in Kentucky? Or will The Chef be the one getting served an L?

The introductions are made by Lexi Nair, so just a little biased in Athena’s favor. The belt is raised, and here in the main event, we see who is the face of the ROH Women’s Division!

The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings and the fans fire up for Athena already. The two circle, tie up, and they go around. They go into a corner, along ropes, then Athena throws Velvet down. Velvet holds on, they roll on the mat with the collar ‘n’ elbow, then they stand up. Athena puts Velvet in a corner, the ref counts, but Athena lets off with a cocky smile. Velvet keeps cool and resets with Athena. They tie up. Velvet wrenches an arm to wristlock, but Athena handsprings and wrenches back. Velvet rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Velvet headlocks but Athena powers up and out. Velvet runs Athena over, but Athena kips up!

The fans fire up while both women brush themselves off. They reset again, tie up, and Athena headlocks. Velvet powers up and out, but Athena wrenches to whip. Velvet ducks ‘n’ dodges and tilt-o-whirls to RANA, but Athena handsprings through! The fans fire up and Athena cheers herself on. But Velvet DROPKICSK Athena down! Athena gets up, Velvet arm-drags, arm-drags again, and then Velvet cheers herself on. Athena runs up into another arm-drag! Velvet has the armlock but Athena fights up and throws Velvet down by her hair! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, and things speed up.

Velvet drops, runs up and CALF KICKS Athena down! Athena bails out, Billie there to check on her. Velvet goes to the apron, Athena grabs a leg but Velvet kicks her away. Velvet then ASAI MOONSAULTS land takes Athena down! The fans fire up, Velvet drags Athena up and puts her in the ring, then has her on the apron. Velvet climbs up, brings Athena up, but Athena shoves her back. FLAPJACK off the top buckles! Velvet staggers, Athena reels her back in, APRON BACK SUPLEX! The fans fire up with Athena while BOTB goes picture in picture.

Velvet crawls into the ring but Athena follows her. Athena looms over Velvet, drags her up, then CLUBS her down. Athena stands Velvet up to whip her hard into a corner. Athena revels in the cheers before she runs in and back body blocks! Then Athena goes side to side to forearm SMASH! Athena smiles as Velvet leans against buckles. Athena shoves Velvet down, stomps her around, then drags her back up. Velvet fires body shots, but Athena bumps her off buckles. Velvet avoids the forearm to DOUBLE CHOP! Velvet fires body blows but Athena throws hands! Velvet CHOPS, Athena CHOPS, they CHOP, then Athena CHOPS Velvet off her feet!

The fans cheer while Athena snarls. Athena sits Velvet back up, KICKS her in the back, then KICKS her again! And again! Athena stands Velvet up, bumps her off buckles, then scoops to put Velvet in the Tree of Woe. Athena KICKS away on Velvet’s back, then lets her fall out of the Three. Billie applauds, tells Velvet she should’ve known better, but Velvet swipes at Billie. Billie gets away, cheers Athena on, but Velvet fires hands on Athena! Athena swings back but Velvet bobs ‘n’ weaves! Velvet ROCKS Athena, kicks her legs out, then runs up , into a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Athena is annoyed but still in control as BOTB goes to break.

BOTB returns once again as Athena hits buckles! Velvet rallies on Athena with clothesline after clothesline! Velvet runs, tilt-o-whirls and RANAS Athena onto ropes! Velvet runs up to DOUBLE KNEE! Velvet shoves Athena down, runs, and tilt-o-whirls again, REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO! Athena survives and Velvet is frustrated. Athena crawls away, wanting mercy! But Velvet storms up, only for Athena to YANK Velvet into buckles! Athena then fireman’s carries Velvet for the WASTELAND! Roll through and another fireman’s carry, for another WASTELAND! Another roll through, and then Athena mocks the stirrin’ it up motion!

But Velvet pops up to RANA! Cover, TWO!! Athena escapes, Velvet runs up to wheelbarrow, but Athena URENAGES her down! Cover, TWO!! Athena is furious as Velvet survives! Athena goes up a corner, the fans cheer, and Velvet rises. But Velvet ROUNDHOUSES first! Velvet ROCKS Athena, climbs up after her, then CHOPS! Velvet goes to the very top, to SUPER VICTORY THROW! Athena flounders but she ducks the buzzsaw! Roll up, Velvet rolls through! THE SLICE! And then the tilt-o-whirl DDT!! Cover, TWO!!! Athena survives and Velvet is fuming! Velvet pushes Athena around while the fans rally up.

Athena is in the drop zone, so Velvet goes up top. Velvet tells Billie to shut up, but Athena gets out to the apron. The fans boo but Velvet adjusts position, to leap and SUPER CROSSBODY! Athena catches her!? And then brings Velvet around to FALCON ARROW to the floor! The fans fire up as Athena roars, but so does Velvet as she rises! Only for the SUPERKICK to knock her down! Athena has a wild look on her face and Billie cheers on the Overlord. Athena gets Velvet up, THROWS her into the LED board, then THROWS her around again! Athena drags Velvet up and into the ring, storms in after her, and reels her in! Canadian Rack, but Velvet sunset flips it! TWO!!!

Athena escapes, Velvet runs up, ducks ‘n’ dodges then SUPERKICKS! But Athena DECKS Velvet with a forearm! Athena goes up top, Velvet rises in a daze, to get the O-FACE!! Cover, Athena wins!

Winner: Athena, by pinfall (still ROH Women’s World Champion)

And that’s FIFTY and zero! Fifty wins, no losses, and no slowing down as she title belt clinks with Billie. But as is customary on ROH, Athena sets her belt down, and Billie does, too. They drag Velvet up, mock “stir it up,” but Velvet SLAPS Athena! And SLAPS Billie! But then Athena and Billie mug Velvet! The fans boo as Billie picks up her belt, takes aim, but then QUEEN AMINATA is here! Aminata runs down into the ring, dodges Billie to DECK Athena, then HEADBUTT for Billie! That’s payback for cheating in the TV title match! But then Athena runs up, into an Alabama Lift! AIR RAID CRASH!!

Aminata saves Velvet while also making her own impact, will The Queen not be denied her crown? Or will the Fallen Goddess look to make her pay for this insolence?

My Thoughts:

A really good BOTB but uh, after ten of these, we already know nothing really happens on these. Great action and promos like on Collision, but no titles were ever changing hands. And after two hours of Collision, the crowd was of course tired out. Hook of course defeated Shane but it was a really good showing of Hook’s resilience to take all that damage and still win. Really good match from Roddy and Rocky that Roddy of course won, and turns out I was right in thinking they’d fast track Roddy VS Kyle here. That match will be great stuff, but it’d be a shame if Kyle’s first title shot ends up a loss, even with The Kingdom all there to interfere and distract.

Good promo from Serena to make it clear that she’s having a match with Yuka, just in case it wasn’t clear last week. And then a great main event for the ROH Women’s Championship. Red Velvet looked great even in defeat, and natural move for Aminata to show up and go after Athena & Billie. Aminata really has her pick of the two titles at this point, and while payback on Billie for Supercard is an obvious route, why wouldn’t she go right to the source and take down Athena? Athena’s made it to 50-0, and if not when Athena faced Billie, not when she faced Nyla Rose nor when she faced Shida, her first loss should be to pass the torch to Aminata.

Aminata went through the grind, paid her dues, and has got organically over with ROH viewers, so if she isn’t gonna be the historic first Women’s TV Champ, make her the woman that takes down the top woman in ROH.

My Score: 8.6/10
