WWE Raw Talk

Will this be the biggEST Raw Talk yet?

After making Talking Smack the biggEST episode yet, the Women’s Royal Rumble match winner, Bianca Belair, is here to make Raw Talk even bigger!

#CharTruth welcomes us back to the show!

Charly Caruso and R-Truth are here to host our “favorite show” on the WWE Network. Charly asks Truth how he feels coming back from the beach. Well Truth was in the Celebrity Flag Football game, but Doug Flutie gave Truth a little okie-doke. Truth okie-doked right back, he has his baby back for the forty-ninth time. Well Tom Brady got his seventh, so it seems Tampa is the place to be for championships. Super Bowl was poppin’! #LIT. Who did Charly go for? She predicted the Buccaneers, and they did it! Though that was only a little bit easier than seeing what will happen in the WWE. Look at tonight’s main event!

Sheamus was sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. Sheamus feels slighted, not just by McIntyre but by the WWE making the WWE World Championship match into an Elimination Chamber match! McIntyre takes on five former champions! Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, AJ Styles and The Miz! #LIT. But who does Charly have here? Well that’s six ultra talented superstars. But just to give motivation, she’ll choose McIntyre. What does Truth think? Does he know something she doesn’t? He knows the Chamber is no joke. People will get hoirt. Not just hurt, hoirt. Well speaking of ultra talented, this woman trains like a beast and it pays off!

Bianca Belair joins Raw Talk!

Charly loves the red sparkles from her lips to her dress to her sneakers! Now that is #LIT. Charly asks how this last week has been for her, and Bianca says it’s wild! Bianca is a grown woman, but ever since winning she feels like a kid again! Kid in a candy shop! M&M’s. Bianca and Truth review how to say it, and Truth says it’s more M’s the more you eat. But now the decision is on Bianca. And right now, we don’t know the real options because while Sasha Banks is SmackDown Women’s Champion, Asuka defends her title against Lacey Evans. Things are complicated, even can relate, but Bianca will weigh her options.

How does she even do that? Well first we see how things go for Asuka and Lacey and then we go from there. Does Bianca have a preference? No, it doesn’t really matter. Truth likes that! Bianca won the Women’s Rumble, that is amazing. She is going to WrestleMania no matter what. Nothing tops that. So she’ll face whoever, take the title and be a champion. Charly says Bianca VS Sasha could put on a show! Truth agrees, it doesn’t really matter. Bianca thinks they should have a poll. Tweet at her with your ideas. This is a big deal, but Truth knows she’s got this. Charly thanks Bianca for her time, loves seeing Bianca in good spirits, and says to go on with her sparkly self. Tell Tez ‘sup for Truth, too!

Damian Priest joins Raw Talk!

Truth is excited to see Priest and Charly asks how he’s feeling. Welcome to Raw and to Raw Talk, for one. Priest says it’s been a crazy couple of weeks. The Rumble debut was amazing, being in the same ring with legends like Kane and Edge, and trading blows, the inner child was excited. Then he’s winning on Raw, hanging out with Bad Bunny, no complaints. Stepping up to the plate and knocking it out of the park! Charly knows everyone pictures what their time in WWE will be like, but no one could’ve guessed Priest beating The Miz with Bad Bunny by his side. Yeah, an actual friend of his, they’re hanging out.

Whoa, he’s friends with Bugs Bunny? No, Truth, he’s friends with Bad Bunny. There’s multiple bunnies. Oh okay, Truth got them confused. So Priest is a long time friend with Bunny, and knows Bunny has been a fan since he was a kid, too. This is a great moment to share, debuting on Raw, no complaints. Charly says he is just getting started and headed to great things. Maybe Bunny will be a tag team partner of Priest’s. Priest says Bunny is so talented, and successful in an industry that he wasn’t really meant to be, just because of his unique style and demeanor. But Bunny found a way. And if he wanted to get into the ring, he’d figure out a way.

Charly says Bunny has Priest’s back, they’re up against Miz and Morrison. Priest says he gets it, Priest’s the new guy and sometimes people don’t like that, so Miz and Morrison are after him for that reason. But Truth likes “DP,” and Priest appreciates that. Priest knows where Miz is coming from but Miz can’t push him around or push around homie Bunny. Bunny’s a man, he can take care of things, but he and Priest are boys so they’ll stick together. Charly likes that. Others might let chips fall where they may but Priest is taking control. That’s what we should all be here for. Truth supports Priest, he can’t let Miz and Morrison push him around.

Priest goes back to the Rumble debut being such a great moment. As a kid, Priest always loved the Rumble. WrestleMania is WrestleMania, but the Rumble kicks things off. There are surprises, and then the prize of going to Mania. Priest loved attending and now he got to debut in one, what a life! Charly likes that. Priest worked hard, and the beauty of life, he can just look back now. Priest says the way the world work, the hardest worker doesn’t always get the trophy. But when you get that prize after all the work, that’s even sweeter. DP is the real deal! Charly is happy to have Priest on Raw and is honored to “initiate” him into Raw Talk. Priest appreciates it, too, and heads out into the night.

Mustafa Ali and Retribution join Raw Talk!

Mace and T-Bar reinforce the Beacon as he says he wants to talk about a lot of things. But first, can they guess when Ali found out he was a guest for this week’s episode? It as minutes before the show started, thanks to a fan letting him know in a tweet! No one official, the producers or writers or anyone who has been here all day. A fan had to tweet him, and that is how he found out. Mustafa Ali, one of the greatest professionals in the world today, had to find out minutes before.

But also, Ali wants to talk about when just a moment ago, Damian Priest and Bianca Belair are guests, people off camera are watching all happy and smiling. But then when it’s Ali’s turn, that button is at the ready to mute him. Why weren’t they doing that for someone else? Are they afraid that someone with passion and purpose might get a little angry? And there’s also the fact that people keep asking why Ali has yet to win a title in the WWE, realizing that it took four YEARS for the WWE to figure out how to say his name correctly. Truth didn’t have that problem, because Truth’s problem was getting it wrong entirely. He is NOT Mufasa!

But overcoming injustice and opportunities, where are the opportunities for Retribution? Where are the chances for Mace, T-Bar, Slapjack, and Reckoning? Shout out to their girl, Reckoning, they hope she feels better. But the identities have been erased, their abilities have been cuffed and their passions have been drowned, by this place. The glorious WWE that praises only puppets, catchphrases and merchandise. It is just a giant pile of crap! Ali is not really a fan of that. Is Ali bitter? Ali isn’t sure, but he does have talent and passion! What he doesn’t fit is what the demographic wants! The “every day viewer” that needs to relate to Ali doesn’t relate. Ali is fighting an uphill battle, but he continues to fight as a warrior. The same goes for Mace, T-Bar, Slapjack and Reckoning!

But go ahead, boo them and cheer the New Day, who inspire with clapping and chants! Or even twerking! Truth twerks. But that just proves Ali’s point! Someone drops the truth, a language you might not understand, but R-TRUTH just jokes around! Charly says Ali said it himself at one point, Ali is bitter. Ali has taken this energy and focused it on the New Day. AKA the corporate puppets, but sure. Shouldn’t he focus on something else? No, why would he do that? They’re the perfect targets! Well, second to John Cena, but still. “Please buy our shirts! Please buy our cereal!” What parent wants their child eating a cereal called Booty O’s?!

Truth is pretty sure Ali unironically liked Booty O’s at one point. Oh~, there Truth goes again, butting in to be relevant! Mocking smile and thumb’s up. Truth says Ali can’t just come on Raw Talk and make fun of it, of the New Day, and of Truth’s childhood hero, John Cena, like that. Oh so Truth is going to defend them? How about Mace, who had a prestigious background to the point where Ali can’t even mention Mace’s real past. Truth says let Mace talk for himself then! Ali says Mace doesn’t need to, because Ali speaks the truth, and Truth is not the truth! Get it? Beautiful! Truth says Ali is just crying and whining.

Charly says maybe Ali should make more allies rather than bringing others down. Ali says no, he is just speaking reality. Ali thought the New Day would get this struggle. The struggle of Ali, Mace, T-Bar and the others. New Day knocked down the door to opportunity, but shut it right behind them. They hear Ali knocking, but no one is home to answer it. That’s fine. The Retribution will build their own home and they will welcome all. No one will be locked out or denied, because they know how it feels to be left out in the cold. They know how it feels to be left to DIE. And that is the hill they are willing to die on!

So are they still knocking on New Day’s door? Or are they leaving New Day alone to build their own home? Charly, that doesn’t make any sense. But it’s based on how Ali phrased it… Truth asks about the real estate deal on that. Ali says he’ll just go back to talking to the New Day. Congrats on the win tonight, Kofi. Kofi has been hearing Ali, but say something back. Say it with your chest! Oh wait, Kofi doesn’t have a chest. New Day likes jokes, like clowns. Retribution can make jokes, but no one else in the industry has been through what Ali has been through. Everyone will understand Retribution’s pain, and everyone else who has ever felt denied for how they look and what their names are.

What a great way to end the show! No? Well Ali will sign off for everyone. This has been a glorious Raw Talk, all thanks to Mustafa Ali! Play the music, get happy like you did for the people you liked! Clap for them! New! Day Sucks! Truth says we shouldn’t have Retribution back anymore. Charly does thank Ali for his time and says we’ll see everyone again next time.

My Thoughts:

A very good Raw Talk, though I expected the Bianca section to be as short as it was. As someone who watches just as much of WWE as I do, there wasn’t going to be another way for Bianca to reword what she’s said since winning the Rumble. But her sparkles from head to toe really were great. Damian Priest was really good, and I didn’t realize he and Bunny knew each other before, but it just all makes sense now. I don’t think the two would have had chemistry if they were just thrown together because WWE wanted to use Bad Bunny while hyping up Priest. Ali had the best segment, of course, and that’s why he closed the show. Ali calling New Day out as puppets, and name dropping Cena, Ali is going hard as a Heel and I like that. I definitely look forward to another tag match of Retribution VS New Day.

Mitchell’s AEW Continental Classic Update! (11/27/23)

What a start to the tournament!

Did your picks win points?

The AEW Continental Classic is underway, with almost everyone competing. Check in here if you haven’t seen the winners and losers of week 1!

Here are your Gold League standings!

  • Jon Moxley: 1-0, 3 points
  • Swerve Strickland: 1-0, 3 points
  • Jay White: 1-0, 3 points
  • Rush: 0-1, 0 points
  • Mark Briscoe: 0-1, 0 points.
  • Jay Lethal: 0-1, 0 points

Here are your Blue League standings!

  • Brody King: 1-0, 3 points
  • Claudio Castagnoli: 1-0, 3 points
  • Daniel Garcia: 0-1, 0 points
  • Eddie Kingston: 0-1, 0 points
  • Bryan Danielson: Yet to Compete
  • Andrade El Idolo: Yet to Compete

My Thoughts:

Nothing too crazy, nothing too wild, this tournament only just got started. The only disappointing point is that they could not get Bryan “cleared to compete” Saturday night. Not sure how much of that is shoot given the bad eye, but this was kinda the problem of wanting him in the tournament over tons of other choices. Bryan wants to face Okada for WrestleKingdom 18, how is Bryan supposed to do that at his best if he’s also gonna be in a round robin, doing five top level matches in about as many weeks? And it takes away from Andrade being able to do something. Also a little surprised we didn’t even hear from Andrade on Saturday.

Now as we heard on Saturday, round two’s matches are set. Gold League will see Mark Briscoe VS Rush, White VS Swerve, and of course, Moxley VS Lethal. Nice variety there, a couple 0-1 guys facing off, as well as two 1-0 guys, and then 1-0 VS 0-1. No offense to Lethal, but he feels like an 0-2 going up against Moxley. Hard to call the other ones but that’s the fun of it. Meanwhile, Blue League sees Brody VS Claudio in a showdown to be 2-0, then Bryan and Andrade finally jump in, Bryan against Eddie and Andrade against Garcia. Sadly, feels like Eddie and Garcia are going 0-2, no way Tony Khan is booking Bryan and Andrade to lose their first shots.

In fact, that could be half the reason they did wait on those two, that’s almost too good for just a first round opener. But I still would’ve done it, same as NJPW does stuff like that for round robins, which this is all modeled after anyway.
