Mitchell’s Hyrule Puro-Resu News Report! (7/7/22)

We set sail for Eventide again!

Hyrule Belts news

X marks the spot, as they say.

We all know HPW is returning to Treasure Island, but the course still has to be laid out! What is the status of Fin Balure’s challenge to Kage?

The gilded tradition continues!

HyruleProWrestlingPPVLogo TreasureIsland3

Once again, HPW travels to the lovely Eventide Island, and once again, HPW puts all the gold on the line!

The HPW Trios Championships!

#GZA, Ganondorf, Zant & Agahnim, have had those titles since May’s HPW ThunderStruck, and have been partying ever since. In fact, they seem to be partying even now, not sweating the challenge that’s coming. Zant and Agahnim keep mocking the Young Ducks’ pose on social media, and Ganondorf tells those “crazy quackers and their pet iguana” to bring the heat. But the partying will have to be put on pause long enough for them to put the titles on the line. Bad Croc Scaly is hungry, judging from his own social media posts where he eats bigger and bigger portions of beef, and the Young Ducks show off their cardio in the ring. Will the champions regret taking this all lightly when it’s all said and done?

The Third Annual Eventide Challenge!

A third trip to the island means a third run of the Eventide Challenge. This year’s six are: Her Grace, Hilda; The Dark Sorceress, Cia; the edgier, meaner, crazier Skull Kid; the leader of the UnderWorld Order, Hollywood ReDead; the Skyfall Stud, Groose; and perhaps surprisingly, the Hero of Hyrule, Link! Zelda was the inaugural winner and “Ms. Eventide,” and Kage was the second winner, as the first “Mr. Eventide.” Which way will the tides flow this time?

As for the individuals themselves, Hilda has gravitated around the top of the card since her arrival in HPW. Granted, she won the Second Triforce Tournament with help from henchmen, Ravio and Yuga, but that is where HPW management has come prepared! To make sure Hilda can’t have help from Ravio, or that Cia can’t have help from the Dark Forces or ReDead having help from the uWo, there will be a strictly enforced No Outside Interference Decree, or #NOID, on this match! Any faction members that get involved will be fined 1000 Rupees and suspended until 2023! Will everyone play fair? Or will factions throw away good money just to help their leaders?

The HPW Death Mountain Championship!

Tali is currently running the Sand Seal Racing circuit to defend her title as champion in a second sport. But her manager, Shabonne, promises that ” win or lose, not that she’s gonna lose, when the racing is over, we’re gonna see all of you on Eventide Island!” Furthermore, Shabonne says Tali will be so ready to wrestle, it can be literally anyone facing her for the title. Shabonne raises the stakes on her client, but will they both come to regret such a bold open challenge?

The HPW Goddess Championship!

At HPW Termina Velocity, we saw the Princess of Hyrule take her first loss in over a year at the hands of the Sorceress of Shadows. As such, Zelda will defend her HPW Goddess Championship against Veran. Two great legacies in wrestling are ready to collide all over again, and Zelda is training to be razor sharp. She vows not to lose again, even to someone as great as the two-time TCW Women’s Champion, Veran. Veran herself admits Zelda is incredibly talented for her age, and she wouldn’t have a reign lasting over 18 months if she wasn’t. But Veran also vows to show the world that she can compete on a global stage. Will this be the rise of the Sorceress of Shadows? Or will Zelda remain on her throne?

The HPW Triforce Championship… and HPW Termina Championship!

While Zelda owes Veran a title match, the Hero’s Shadow defeated the Dark General and that left his Treasure Island card open. Fin Balure retained his title against Igos du Ikana, and so his Treasure Island card was also open. But the Zora Rock ‘n’ Rolla was quick thinking and issued a challenge to Kage, and Kage quickly accepted! And so, HPW management has decided that BOTH titles will be on the line at the same time! It will be Winner Takes All to crown the first dual (not unified) HPW Triforce and Termina Champion!

When contacted, Fin Balure wasn’t so sure about that move, but then agreed when the alternative was a double header where each title was on the line one at a time. Kage was fine with either option, but Fin didn’t want to do the extra work, so one match for both titles was the final decision. Will Fin be able to take Kage’s title from him? Or will Kage be the one carrying both belts into Clash of Fates?

But what about Ghirahim, Midna and the Fused Shadow Piece?

The Living Blade is desperately clinging to the last piece of the Twilight Princess’ tiara, and between outright refusing to travel to Termina, and demanding more pay for “the level of talent” he is, negotiations between him and management have become tense. HPW apologizes to fans who want to see Ghirahim and Midna finally settle things, but they promise this issue will be settled.

My Thoughts:

This article is mostly because I hadn’t officially announced Treasure Island 3, it was just mentioned in promos from other articles. I wanted to have something to officially establish everything that’s going to happen for the August PPV so everyone knows what’s coming.

Hockey Talk- Metro Mayhem [040924]

Hockey Talk looks at an absolutely wild playoff situation taking shape in the Eastern Conference while, out West, the battle for seeding rages on.

Published

Chairshot Radio Large

Hockey Talk returns this week to look at the insanity that is the playoff situation in the Eastern Conference. While the Western Conference focuses on seeding, the eight teams involved are pretty well set. That is definitely not the case in the East where seven teams all still have a legitimate shot at taking the last two playoff spots. This is especially true in the Metropolitan Division where five teams could end up with results ranging from a third-place finish, to a wild card finish, to missing the playoffs entirely. The guys bring you up to speed as to what to expect with just a few games left in the regular season.

Today’s hosts: Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) and Patrick O’Dowd (@WrestlngRealist)

  • Mayhem in the Eastern Conference and Metro Division
  • Seeding on the line out West
  • Milestones for Austin Matthews, Sydney Crosby, and Alex Ovechkin.
