While he is determined to not have the One Hour Ironman Match with Bryan Danielson, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has no choice but to have this match with The Future of Wrestling. Will MJF cross Konosuke off the list of contenders? Or will Konosuke have a golden ticket for a real shot at the Big Burberry Belt?

The bell rings and MJF has El Paso settle down as he offers a handshake to Konosuke. Konosuke shakes his head instead, not trusting this. Fans call MJF an A-Hole, but MJF still offers the handshake. Konosuke takes the handshake after all, but MJF kicks low! Konosuke was right to not trust MJF before! MJF whips, Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges and CLOBBERS MJF with the Takeshita Line! Fans fire up and Konosuke has MJF in a corner. Konosuke climbs up to rain down fists! Fans count along to nine, but MJF carries Konosuke off the corner for an atomic drop! MJF tells fans, “Up yours,” then runs, but into the JUMP KNEE!

Fans fire up again as Konosuke stands tall! Konosuke waits on MJF to get up, runs in, but MJF uses the ref as a shield! Fans boo as MJF tackles Konosuke and drops knees on the arm again and again! MJF drags Konosuke up and WRINGS him out into buckles! Fans taunt “Maxi-Pad!” but MJF just taunts them back. MJF drags Konosuke up, clamps onto the arm and also fishhooks Konosuke’s nose. Fans duel, “Let’s Go, Maxwell!” “MAXWELL SUCKS!” Konosuke fights up, throws forearm after forearm and is free! Konosuke runs, MJF spins him and WRINGS his arm out again! MJF drags Konosuke up, hammerlock and lift for a DDT! Cover, TWO!

Fans rally while MJF grows frustrated. MJF drags Konosuke by the bad arm, and BITES the fingers! The ref counts, MJF lets off, and he stalks Konosuke to a corner. MJF CLAWS Konosuke, whips, but Konosuke blocks. MJF CLUBS the bad arm and soaks up the heat. MJF whips, Konosuke reverses but MJF blocks the whip to reverse. MJF swings, into an EXPLODER into buckles! Fans fire up again while both men are down! Konosuke goes to the other corner, runs back in and BOOTS MJF! Konosuke keeps going, for another BOOT! MJF whips, Konosuke reverses but MJF goes up, into a KICK! Konosuke pushes MJF down, brings him up and suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! MJF survives and frustrates Konosuke but fans fire up. Konosuke clutches the bad arm, goes to a corner and climbs, and fans fire up for the Latino Heat from the Japanese Phenomenon! FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Fans cheer for “EDDIE! EDDIE!” while Konosuke grits his teeth. Konosuke drags MJF up, suplexes again, but MJF blocks. MJF wrenches the bad arm, they roll, Konosuke rolls free and tilt-o-whirls, but MJF has him in position!

But Konosuke kicks his way to reverse positions! Tuck and BASTARD DRIVER!! But then a deadlift WHEELBARROW GERMAN!! Fans are thunderous for Konosuke as he gets his bad arm working. Konosuke runs in but MJF bails out. Fans boo, but Konosuke doesn’t look away. Konosuke slingshots, but MJF moves to avoid the Plancha! Konosuke crashes ‘n’ burns and MJF is in the ring. The ring count climbs, but MJF goes out at 4 of 10. MJF fetches Konosuke, SLAMS the bad arm on the floor, then drags him up again. MJF says, “This is your boy? He’s done!” But Konosuke turns things around to POST MJF!

Fans fire up and Konosuke puts MJF in the ring. Fans chant “You Deserve It!” at MJF as Konosuke stalks him. Konosuke drags MJF to a drop zone, fires back up, and he goes up the corner. But MJF hits ropes to trip Konosuke up! Fans boo but MJF says he’s smarter than that. MJF climbs up behind Konosuke, brings him up, but Konosuke CLUBS MJF! Konosuke adjusts, to SUPER TAKESHITA LINE! But MJF lands on his feet?!? MJF SUPESRKICKS, runs, but into a FOREARM! MJF rebounds, ROLLING ELBOW! Konosuke rebounds to LARIAT!! Both men are down and fans are giving a standing ovation!

Fans are loving “A E DUB!” for this incredible opening contest. Konosuke crawls over to MJF and covers, TWO!! SALT OF THE EARTH FUJIWARA ARMBAR!! Konosuke bites his other hand to endure, rolls MJF over, TWO! MJF runs in, Konosuke sends him out and then builds speed to FLY!! Direct hit and fans are thunderous again! Konosuke puts MJF in the ring again, fires up and El Paso fires up with him. “This is Awesome!” as Konosuke returns to the ring. MJF rolls away, Konosuke brings a kneepad down, and Konosuke runs in! But MJF bails out again! Fans boo as MJF just narrowly avoids the strike.

MJF is down as the ring count starts but Konosuke goes out to fetch MJF. Konosuke puts MJF in but MJF uses the ref as a shield again! The ref gets free as Konosuke steps in, but MJF kicks the ropes to hit Konosuke low!! Fans boo as MJF gets away with that one! MJF drives knees into the bad arm again and again! Fans boo more but MJF spits at them. MJF lines up the shot, runs in, but Konosuke avoids the knee drop! MJF and Konosuke both stand up, MJF swings but Konosuke blocks, but that’s the bad arm! MJF calls Konosuke an idiot, but Konosuke ROCKS MJF with a straight right! And then forearm after forearm!

MJF kicks low but Konosuke blocks! Only to claw Konosuke’s eyes! Fans boo, MJF runs, but Konosuke ducks and runs. MJF dodges, runs, but Konosuke RANAS, into a POWERBOMB BACKBREAKER! But that’s MJF’s bad leg! MJF clutches his knee while Konosuke writhes from the bad back. Fans rally up as MJF goes to a corner. MJF runs in, into a BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Konosuke hurries to go to a corner, run in, DRIVE KNEE!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! MJF survives by a literal foot! Konosuke can’t believe it but fans fire back up again. Konosuke drags MJF back to center and fans fire up again.

Konosuke goes to the apron, goes up the ropes, SPRINGBOARD SWANTON FLOP! MJF hurries to get the SALT OF THE EARTH!! Konosuke endures, fans rally but MJF pushes back as hard as he can! Konosuke reaches out, crawls, moves around, and gets the ropes, only for MJF to drag Konosuke and BRIDGE the armbar! Konosuke taps, MJF wins!

Winner: MJF, by submission (denies Konosuke Takeshita a title match)

The Devil of AEW may have cheated Konosuke at some point, he finishes Konosuke off himself in the end. MJF then demands the ref hand the Dynamite Diamond Ring back. The ref obliges, and then MJF pushes the ref down! MJF is armed with his favorite weapon and he’s aiming at Konosuke! Fans boo, but MJF hits the DIAMOND RING PUNCH! Fans boo even harder, but MJF throws down fists on Konosuke! Konosuke’s busted open, but here comes BRYAN DANIELSON! The American Dragon chases MJF off, but the damage to The Future was done. Will Bryan make it through the night to be THE #1 contender?

AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator: Jamie Hayter w/ Britt Baker & Rebel VS The Bunny w/ Penelope Ford!

While there is division within the Women’s Division, the champion is still welcoming all challengers. The Bunny wants to sink her teeth into 24 carats, but will she be tasting the Hayterade instead?

The bell rings and fans rally as the two approach. Fans are strongly behind Hayter but Bunny offers a handshake. Hayter accepts it, and it isn’t a trick, so the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Hayter headlocks to a takeover. Bunny tries to chinbar but Hayter keeps things moving around in a circle. Bunny pulls hair, the ref reprimands and Bunny lets go. They stand up, Bunny pushes Hayter to ropes and powers out. Hayter runs Bunny over! Things speed up, Hayter runs Bunny over again and again! Fans fire up with Hayter and she kisses the biceps. Hayter runs in but Bunny elbows her away!

Bunny goes up, reels Hayter in, and has a HANGING HEADSCISSOR! The ref counts, Bunny thrashes around but she lets off at 4. Hayter sputters but Bunny brings her onto the ropes. Bunny goes to suplex but Hayter blocks! Hayter suplexes Bunny into the ring! Fans fire up while Bunny crawls to the far side. Ford coaches Bunny but Hayter ROCKS Bunny first! Bunny avoids the shoulder, knees Hayter in the ropes, then turns her for a NECKBREAKER HOTSHOT! Bunny drags Hayter out to snap suplex Hayter to the floor, AND the steps! Hayter clutches a leg while Bunny soaks up the heat and AEW goes picture in picture.

Bunny drags Hayter up, brings her around, but Hayter RAMS Bunny into railing! And whips her into the apron! Hayter fixes her hair, but then Bunny claws her eyes! Bunny whips Hayter into the steel steps! Hayter clutches her arm as she hobbles away but Rebel checks on her. Bunny refreshes the ring count and puts Hayter back in. Hayter throws body shots and she backs Bunny to a corner! Hayter then lets off, runs back in and CHOPS! Bunny rakes Hayter’s eyes! Bunny CHOPS Hayter in return, then CHOPS again! Bunny huffs and puffs, stomps a mudhole into Hayter, then lets off as the ref counts.

Bunny goes to the far side, comes running back in, SLIDING FOREARM! Bunny laughs and smiles into the camera, then digs her forearm into Hayter’s face. The ref counts, Bunny YANKS Hayter out to a cover, TWO! Hayter throws some elbows into Bunny’s back but Bunny rains down fists! The ref reprimands about closed fists, but Bunny just smiles. Bunny drags Hayter up, brings her through the ropes and to the apron, then reels her in. Hayter fights the lift, and RAMS Bunny into the post! Hayter kicks and CLUBS Bunny, but Bunny BOOTS back! Hayter BOOTS Bunny, CLUBS her some more, but Bunny CHOPS!

Hayter CHOPS, Bunny mule kicks! Bunny and Hayter each grab hair, DOUBLE APRON FACEBUSTERS! Dynamite returns to single picture as fans fire up! Both women crawl into the ring, Britt borrows a fan sign that reads “Hayterade is my workout drink!” But then Ford takes the sign from Britt to RIP it up! Fans boo and Brit is shocked. Bunny runs in at Hayter, but into an EXPLODER! Hayter clinches again, Bunny fights but the EXPLODER hits again! Hayter drags Bunny back up, Ford coaches Bunny up, but HAYTERADE hits! Cover, Hayter wins!

Winner: Jamie Hayter, by pinfall (denies Bunny a title match)

#HayterHitsHard is more than a catchphrase, and Bunny found that out face first. But then, who will come after Hayter and this title come Revolution in March?

Backstage interview with Saraya & Toni Storm.

Renee Paquette is with the Revolution and the Lightning to congratulate them on last week’s tag match win. But of course, they saw the AEW Women’s World Champion, Jamie Hayter, in action. Saraya says they did, and congrats, “baby girl.” But uh, Hayter’s just like everyone else here: a loser! In fact, Leva Bates is walking by so Saraya invites her over. Doesn’t Leva look so cute right now? Well, thanks! But doesn’t her name start with L? Yeah. That’s great, because, uh… Oh, Renee, you might wanna stand aside for this. Toni, do you wanna do the honors? Yes! BLAM! She sucker punches Leva to knock her down, and then she and Saraya stomp her out!

Toni has a can of spray paint! Saraya shakes it up, and sprays a big green L on Leva’s white shirt! Both sides, too! Saraya says they’re not here to make friends, they’re here to take over. Will Saraya & Storm make everyone in the AEW Women’s Division take the L?

Or rather, Lexi Nair is waiting outside MJF’s locker room, where there is an AEW security guard posted. Lexi notes this is to ask about MJF’s brutal attack on Konosuke after their match. MJF shouts to let her in, so the guard opens the door. Lexi walks in and MJF tells her to have a seat. She sits, he chugs some water then tosses the bottle aside. MJF tells Konosuke, “Everybody was talking about you like you were the next big thing, and I’ll give you credit, big man, you’re really good. But you’re no match for a generational talent such as myself. But don’t blame yourself, bud. Nobody is.

“Bryan Danielson, you treat me like I’m some sort of scumbag. These fans treat me like I’m a scumbag. I don’t know if you people hate me because I’m twisted, or if I’m twisted because you people hate me. But here’s what I do know. I know that a man does not know what he is truly made of until he is met with adversity. I remember the first time I was. Oh, yeah, Lexi Nair. It was junior year of high school, and boy oh boy was I a speed demon. I loved whipping around in my beautiful blue Camaro, and I just kept getting speed ticket after speed ticket after speed ticket.

“And eventually, I was only one point away from getting my license revoked, and then junior prom hit. Me and my football buddy, we showed up in our lettermans, and we hooked up with all the fine hotties Long Island has to offer. But there was one girl in particular, for legal reasons let’s call her ‘Liv.’ Man, she was my high school crush. I saw her cross the dance floor. Beautiful, sun-kissed brown skin, amazing light brown eyes, short curly brown hair, and the most infectious smile you’ve ever seen. She was perfect.” MJF walked up to her and told her, “Hey, baby, let’s go for a spin.” They got in the Camaro, he got to driving and she got to… Well, let’s just say she distracted him.

Once things finished up, MJF decided to put pedal to the metal and unfortunately, it was raining that night “like cats and dogs.” They hydroplaned, went roaring and spinning off the road, and in a panic, MJF put his foot on the brake but instead hit the accelerator, and at 90 miles per hour, BOOM! They hit a telephone pole. When MJF woke up, he tasted pennies in his mouth. He was confused, concussed, didn’t understand. When he looked down, his hands were covered in blood. And he looked over at his sweet Liv. Her head had cracked the windshield, she was not moving at all. He put a finger under her nose, and thank God she was still breathing.

Off in the distance, MJF heard police sirens. “There it was, Dragon: adversity. In that moment, I found out what type of man I am. You wanna know who I am, Dragon? I’m the type of guy who dragged Liv’s lifeless body and switched seats with her so when the cops showed up, I wasn’t the one driving. IN THIS LIFE, THERE ARE WINNERS, AND THERE ARE LOSERS! The history books don’t care how you get the job done! You wanna talk about exposing me, Dragon?! Tonight, I expose YOU!! You will be met with adversity, and everybody watching at home will know that you don’t have the guts, you don’t have the temerity, you don’t the balls to do what it takes to be a winner!”

MJF vows there will be NO world title match on March 5th at Revolution! There will be NO Ironman match, and Bryan will “never, ever come close to holding the greatest prize of them all, the Triple B! Because yes, Bryan, I am a scumbag. And I’m damn proud of it.” MJF grins as he admires the title, but will even the lowest of the low that he is be able to slay the American Dragon?

The Absolute wants one more match with The Wizard, but he has to get through the rest of the “JAS Holes” first. Will Starks win three in a row to get his shot at Chris Jericho?

Ricky Starks VS Angelo Parker w/ Matthew Menard!

First up is Cool Hand Ange, and the two fire off hands at the bell! Fans fire up as Starks gets the edge and has Parker on the ropes. Parker rakes eyes, the ref reprimands but Parker ROCKS Starks! Parker snap suplexes, covers, ONE!! Parker pushes Starks down to stomp him, covers, TWO! Parker drags Starks up, whips him to ropes and CALF KICKS him down! Cover, with feet on the ropes! The ref sees that, it’s so blatant! The ref kicks Parker off the ropes and the two argue. Starks goes to a corner and fans rally up but Parker stands Starks up. Starks ROCKS Parker, but Parker shoots in to roll him up! TWO, Starks kicks low!

Starks gets Parker up but Parker rakes eyes to avoid Roshambeaux! Parker whips, Starks ducks ‘n’ dodges to SPEAR! Cover, Starks ELIMINATES Parker! But Daddy Magic is right here, ready to go!

Ricky Starks VS Matthew Menard w/ Angelo Parker!

Menard swings, Starks dodges, and he rolls Menard up, Starks ELIMINATES Menard!! Fans are fired up as Starks dispatches 2Point0 in quick fashion! But the third man is a mystery, so who is it? The Dragonslayer, Daniel Garcia! Starks waits on Garcia and his leather pants, but then Sammy Guevara’s music hits? It seems the Spanish God swerved all of us, including Garcia! Guevara hugs Garcia, keeping us all guessing. Sammy and Garcia each go to the apron, Sammy steps in but Starks chases him off! Garcia gets in, he officially takes the third spot!

Garcia stomps away on Starks while fans boo. Sammy soaks up the heat, Garcia digs his boots into Starks and then also soaks up the heat. The ref counts, Garcia lets off at 4, and he storms up to stand Starks up. Garcia fires body shots, whips Starks corner to corner hard, and Starks bounces off buckles! Fans chant “Sammy Sucks!” but Sammy says he does not. Garcia stands Starks up but Starks CHOPS! And CHOPS! And fires off forearms! Starks runs, but Garcia CLOBBERS him! Garcia and Sammy soak up more heat, and Sammy says “That’s my best friend!” as AEW goes picture in picture.

Garcia drags Starks up in a corner but Starks holds onto the ropes. Garcia stomps away on Starks, stalks him along the ropes, and facelocks. Garcia snap suplexes Starks near the ropes, then goes to the apron. Garcia eggs the fans on, then he slingshots, just to scuff Starks! Garcia flips off the fans and Sammy laughs it up while Starks sneers. Garcia storms up on Starks, pushes him around, then pie faces him. Starks fires off fast hands! Starks knees low, CLUBS away on Garcia, but Garcia turns Starks around to DDT! Cover, TWO! Garcia mocks Starks, slaps him around, but Starks SLAPS back! They SLAP fight, then Garcia rains down fists!

Garcia lets off and Starks goes to a corner. Garcia stands on Starks on the ropes, mocks the fans, then lets off as the ref counts. The ref also tells Sammy to stay back and Sammy backs up. Garcia storms up on Starks but Starks kicks from below! Garcia stomps Starks, stands him up, and hits a BIG back suplex! Starks writhes and fans rally up but Sammy mocks them. Starks gets to ropes, drags himself up, but Garcia stands him up to talk trash right in his hear. Garcia fishhooks Starks’ face then CLUBS him on the back! Starks throws elbows and body shots in return! Dynamite returns to single picture as Starks wrenches an arm.

Starks kicks low, reels Garcia in, but Garcia trips Starks! Garcia steps through, but Starks makes it a cradle! TWO!! Garcia and Starks get up, Starks ducks ‘n’ dodges, SPEAR into a GUILLOTINE!! Starks flails and Sammy is fired up as Garcia has Starks down! Fans rally as Starks fights up again, pries the hold open and hits a POWERBOMB!! Starks is too tired to cover, though! A standing count starts and fans count along. Starks crawls towards a corner and reaches it by 5 of 10, but then he goes to the apron. Starks stands at 6, climbs the corner, but Garcia rolls to SHORYUKEN! Fans boo but Garcia drags Starks back up!

Garcia climbs up, he has Starks on the top rope, SUPERPLEX! Roll through to a suplex from Starks! BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, TWO!! Garcia survives and Sammy is relieved but fans rally behind “RICKY! RICKY!” Starks goes to a corner, he fires up and brings Garcia up! Canadian Rack but Garcia slips free to the apron! Garcia ROCKS Starks, reels him in and suplexes, but Starks lands on the apron. Starks throws body shots, Garcia ROCKS him, but the haymakers go back and forth! They speed up, Garcia BOOTS, but Starks SPEARS Garcia on the apron! Both men fall and fans fire up again! But a JUDAS EFFECT from a masked man?!

Fans boo but this supposed fan stares Starks down. Garcia puts Starks in the ring, covers, Garcia wins!!

Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall (Starks will NOT get a match with Jericho)

The “fan” walks into the ring, takes off his mask, and duh! It’s CHRIS JERICHO!! Garcia and Sammy are “shocked” and they hug it out with The Wizard. Jericho absolutely screws Starks over, will Starks ever get even with him?

Renee is with Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and Daddy Ass. Tonight is a big night with the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line, but for Billy Gunn specifically, this match has him in the middle. How is Billy feeling? Billy admits she’s right, he is being pulled in different directions. He cares about all four men, so as a team, as The Acclaimed became the tag team champions, they did that as a team. So the decision Billy has made tonight has come as a team decision. Billy is staying in the back to let all four men handle their business.

Caster says that is right. The Acclaimed is the world’s best tag team, the world’s favorite tag team, The People’s Choice, the People’s Voice, and THE AEW World Tag Team Champions. So Billy, they support this choice. He and Bowens have this. Bowens says yeah, but let’s give the people what they want. “SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” They scissor finger for luck, but will things go The Acclaimed’s way? Or will The Gunn Sons finally make their father proud?

AEW returns as Renee is with Bryan and Konosuke in the medical trainer’s room. Bryan came to the aid of Konosuke, but tonight is the final opportunity to win and be named THE #1 Contender to MJF’s title to also have that SIXTY MINUTE Ironman Match. And tonight, Bryan faces Rush- Whoa! Someone just slammed the door shut! And now they’ve blocked it! It won’t open!! Three guesses who did it and why.

Bryan Danielson VS Rush!

The American Dragon is just one win away from being 6-0 in 2023, but El Toro Blanco just had his henchmen trap Bryan in a room! MJF also makes his entrance, and he hobbles to the ring in a track suit. Fans boo but MJF blows a kiss. MJF tells referee Aubrey Edwards that they need to talk real quick. MJF hobbles into the ring but fans taunt him with “Maxi-Pad!” MJF isn’t sure if they’re aware, but considering the AEW rulebook and bylaws, Bryan Danielson is scheduled for his match right here and now in “sh*tty El Paso.” But he’s not here! Fans tell MJF off, but MJF says he no habla Espanol.

Anyway, his point is, the bell needs to ring and start the match right now. Aubrey signals, the bell rings, and now the ten count begins. But we can see Bryan is still stuck in the room! Bryan RAMS the door, and he busts it down! MJF panics and wants a faster count as Bryan and Konosuke fight off Vance and Jose! MJF says Bryan doesn’t have the guts, but Bryan is running at full sprint to gorilla! MJF tells Aubrey to count faster because we’re only at 4 of 10! He shouts but Aubrey only now counts “FIVE!” Fans cheer Aubrey on as she goes as slow as she can, and here’s Bryan!! Bryan slides in, Rush stomps away, and the match is truly on!

Rush drags Bryan up, rips his shirt off and CHOPS! Bryan staggers, Rush CHOPS him in another corner. Rush whips corner to corner, runs and clotheslines, then whips corner to corner to SPLASH! MJF joins commentary, very upset about not getting his way, but Rush snapmares and basement dropkicks Bryan! Rush does a bow but fans boo. Rush kicks Bryan around, taunts him, and sits Bryan up to CHOP! Bryan powers up and fans rally! Rush kicks, and kicks, and stomps, then drags Bryan around to stomp him on the ropes. Aubrey reprimands, Rush lets off, and Bryan stands up. Rush talks trash, then CHOPS again!

Bryan huffs and puffs and fans fire up! Bryan CHOPS back! Rush CHOPS! Bryan CHOPS! They CHOP back and forth, Rush eggs Bryan on and the CHOPS continue. Bryan then fires HEADBUTT after HEADBUTT on Rush! Fans fire up, Bryan BOOTS Rush then runs. Rush sidesteps to SNAP GERMAN! And BASEMENT KNEE! Bryan bails out, Rush pursues and RAMS him into railing! Rush RAMS Bryan into more railing! Rush smacks Bryan off the chair in the corner, then refreshes the ring count. Rush “apologizes” to Aubrey before he runs in at Bryan, to SHOTGUN Bryan into the railing! MJF says that is why Rush is worth every single penny.

Fans rally, Rush drags Bryan up, and he SMACKS him off the chair again! MJF defends that he is not panicked about this, and says Rush has practically already won. Rush digs his fingers into Bryan’s forehead to get at the bloody wound! Rush makes us look as he puts on a chinlock. Rush tastes Bryan’s blood! Fans boo, Aubrey reprimands, but Rush stands Bryan up to CHOP him down! Rush refreshes the count again to KNEE Bryan back down. Rush drags Bryan up, HEADBUTTS to go after the bloody forehead, and then he RAMS Bryan into more railing! Bryan has a crimson mask forming as Rush RAMS him into more railing!

MJF insults Tony Schiavone while Rush throws KNEE after KNEE into Bryan against the railing. Rush ROCKS Bryan with a forearm, then scuffs his boot on Bryan. Bryan stands, Rush talks trash, and he CHOPS again! Rush puts Bryan in the ring then soaks up the heat. MJF says he is having a blast and Taz doesn’t get why people dislike him. Rush is on the apron but Bryan fires off forearms! The fans cheer ‘YES! YES! YES!” and Bryan goes to the apron. Bryan CHOPS Rush, Rush CHOPS Bryan! They CHOP back and forth, then Bryan SLAPS and CHOPS on repeat! MJF is freaking out again as Bryan fires off haymakers!

Rush falls, gets back up, Bryan runs in, OVERHEAD Belly2Belly to the floor!! MJF is loving it and fans are losing their minds as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Aubrey checks on Bryan as that crimson mask has grown. Rush goes out to fetch Bryan, drags him up but Bryan resists, so Rush rains down HEADBUTTS! Aubrey has Rush let off and get back in the ring. Rush does as told, Bryan sits up in a daze as the crimson mask is all over now. Rush stands on the corner to soak up the heat. Rush goes out again to bring Bryan up and SMACK him off another chair in the corner of railing. Rush takes a bottle of water, washes himself off, and then goes back to ROCK Bryan with a forearm! Bryan staggers away, Rush stalks him, and then grabs a chair! Aubrey stops Rush and Bryan gets into the ring.

Rush huffs and puffs, but he gets in the kick Bryan around. Rush stomps away on Bryan at the ropes, but Aubrey reprimands. Rush lets off, and fans rally up as Bryan sits up. Rush stands Bryan up to CHOP! Then he sits Bryan down, goes corner to corner, only to BOOT Bryan in the face. Rush rolls back to tranquilo while Bryan flops over, Aubrey checks Bryan, he says he can still fight, so the match continues and Dynamite returns to single picture. Fans tell off Rush but he stands Bryan up to kick low and ROCK him with a forearm. But Bryan drags Rush right down! LEBELL LOCK!! MJF panics as Rush fights toward ropes!

Bryan tries to keep Rush back but Rush gets the ROPEBREAK! Bryan lets off, builds speed, but Rush walks away. Bryan stop and fans boo, but Bryan then DIVES from the other way!! Bryan stands Rush up to RAM him into railing! Bryan sits Rush down, goes to the far side, and runs back in to DROPKICK Rush against railing! MJF is furious but fans are thunderous as Bryan stands Rush up. Bryan puts Rush in the ring, climbs up the corner, but Rush stands up! Bryan MISSILE DROPKICKS Rush down! Fans stay fired up as Bryan nods and rises up. MJF says the fans should shut up, they’re distracting Rush. But fans chant, “This is Awesome!”

A standing count starts, but Bryan stands at 5 of 10. Rush sits up, Bryan KICKS him! And KICKS him! And KICKS! “SI! SI! SI!” Rush choke grips Bryan but Bryan breaks free to CHOP! Rush CHOPS back! The CHOPS go back and forth again! Bryan KICKS and KICKS and KICKS and he has Rush in a corner for more kicks! Rush turns things around to CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! Bryan turns things around to CHOP! KICK! Repeat! Rush turns it around again to CHOP and CHOP, and then he jumps on Bryan to stomp away! Fans boo but MJF likes it! Rush scrapes Bryan, runs corner to corner, but Bryan follows and DROPKICKS Rush first!

Bryan keeps moving, to DROPKICK again! Bryan keeps moving, but Rush SUPERMAN ELBOWS! Rush drags Bryan up, reels him in, tucks the arms! STRAITJACKET PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! MJF is furious but the fans are thunderous! “SI! SI! SI!” MJF says they can cheer Bryan all they want, he’s not making it to Revolution! Rush rains down forearms in the corner but Aubrey counts. Rush lets off, goes to the far corner and runs back in, BUSAIKU KNEE!! Bryan hits first and covers, TWO!! MJF is relieved and even applauding. Fans chant “SI SE PUEDES!” as Bryan and Rush rise again, forehead to forehead.

Rush ROCKS Bryan, but Bryan ROCKS Rush! Bryan gets the edge, Rush CHOPS, CHOPS and CHOPS! But Bryan HEADBUTTS! Rush HEADBUTTS! Bryan wobbles, Rush eggs him on, and Bryan powers up! They DOUBLE HEADBUTT again and again and again! Fans are thunderous and even MJF and Taz can’t believe what they’re seeing! Both men wobble, Rush eggs Bryan, so Bryan SLAPS! Rush SLAPS Bryan down! But Bryan comes back, they DOUBLE SLAP! They both wobble, Bryan runs in but Rush dodges to SNAP GERMAN! Bryan goes to a corner, Rush runs in but Bryan BOOTS back!

Rush staggers, Bryan runs in, BUSAIKU KNEE!!! Cover, Bryan wins!!

Backstage interview with The Impractical Jokers.

Tony Schiavone is with James “Murr” Murray and “Q” Brian Quinn ahead of the brand new season for Impractical Jokers tomorrow night, Thursday, February 9th, premiering on both TBS and TruTV. They’re happy to be here, but what is that behind Murr’s back? It’s Chris Jericho’s baseball bat, Floyd! The official bat, check the logo. Q and Murr remember back to when Jericho was a guest on Impractical Jokers, torturing Q and putting him in an ice bath, and honestly, being just a total diva the entire time. He needed a scented candle before he’d be on camera. Oddly, the scent he wanted was loofah. Like, what?

But anyway, in the spirit of Impractical Jokers, Q and Murr are here to loosen Jericho up a bit and played a joke on him. Possession is nine-tenths of the law, Floyd is legally theirs now. Jericho won’t get the bat back until the Jokers say so. Jericho can respond to this situation during the Impractical Jokers premiere. The ball is in his court, Jericho can do whatever he wants. Then will The Wizard have something to say about the Tenderloins taking his stuff?

AEW World Trios Championships: The Elite VS AR Fox & Top Flight!

Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks made it through The Firm’s Ethan Page, Matt Hardy & Isiah Kassidy on Friday Night Rampage, but they’re not stopping! They’re defending the belts all over again against The Coldest Trio in the Game. Will the, Elite, the the Elite, stay the two-time two-time AEW World Trios Champions? Or will Fox, Dante & Darius be flying higher than ever before after tonight?

The introductions are made, the trios belts are raised, and we see who is truly elite!

The trios sort out and of course Don Callis joins commentary. Nick Jackson starts against Dante Martin and they tie up. Dante puts Nick on ropes but lets off with pats on the shoulder. Nick and Dante tie up, Nick arm-drags but Dante comes back. Things speed up, Dante flips over the dropdown then backflips as Nick runs in. Nick storms back up but Dante kicks the haymaker away. Dante whips, Nick reverses but Dante tiger wall kicks and DROPKICKS! Then he tells Matt and Omega to “SUCK IT!” Dante A-List Lariats Nick in the corner then tags Darius. Darius slips in to snap suplex, and then kips up out of the way for Dante’s slingshot senton!

Matt Jackson runs in but the Martins drop toehold Matt onto Nick! Fox tags in to slingshot senton onto both Bucks! Omega runs in but Fox dodges to DROPKICK him out! Fans rally for Kenny but Fox bumps Nick off buckles. Tag back to Darius, he brings Nick out but Nick swings. Darius ducks but Matt tags in before the atomic drop hits! Darius ROCKS Nick in a corner, whips him corner to corner, but Nick goes up and over and reels Darius in, GUTBUSTER! “SEE YOU IN HELL!” NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! The Bucks see Dante running in, they double hip toss but Dante rebounds off ropes! Dante double arm-drags but the Bucks both handspring!

The Bucks DOUBLE DROPKICK Dante! Fox leaps in but the Bucks dodge, Omega SLAM DUNKS Fox down! Fans fire up as The Elite stand tall. Nick stands Darius up, ROCKS him, and Matt asks, “Who wants to see Kenny Omega?” Fans fire up and Nick tags Omega in! Fans fire up even more and Omega makes the pecs dance. Omega CLUBS Darius, CLUBS him again, and hushes fans. Omega CHOPS and Darius drops to his knees! Omega stands Darius up, CHOPS him down again, then ROCKS him with a right. Omega JABS, brings Darius in but Darius throws body shots. Omega CHOPS and Darius falls over again!

Omega whips Darius to the corner, runs in, DOUBLE ENZIGURI BODY BLOCK COMBO! Omega reels Darius in to scoop, for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Darius is hanging tough and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Omega drags Darius up, brings him over and bumps him off Nick’s boot. Tag to Nick, he wrenches Darius’ arm to YANK it. Then wrench and YANK again! Nick tags Matt in, Matt climbs up, and Matt DOUBLE STOMPS the arm! Matt swaggers about and brings Darius back up. Matt snap suplexes, covers, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Matt is a little annoyed but he drags Darius up again. Matt uses Darius’ arm to say “SUCK IT!” to Dante and Fox. But Darius rolls Matt up! TWO and Matt CLOBBERS Darius! Matt dusts his hands off and brings Darius over. Matt bumps Darius off buckles, tag to Nick, snapmare and SLINGSHOT SENTON FIST DROP COMBO!

Nick SPITS at Dante! The ref keeps Dante back, Nick bumps Darius off both Omega’s and Matt’s boots! Tag to Matt, he and Nick mug Darius. Tag to Omega, he and Matt mug Darius. Omega tags Matt back in, and Matt winds up… to BITE Darius on the back! Omega lets go and Matt pushes Darius down. Matt facelocks to grind Darius down but Darius endures. Darius fights up, Dynamite returns to single picture and Darius throws body shots, only for Matt to throw him down by his hair. Matt stays between Darius and his team, Darius stands, but Matt SUPERKICKS Dante instead! And then DECKS Fox for good measure!

Fans rally as Matt aims again, but Darius dodges the superkick! Matt shoves Darius to ropes, Darius uses that to come back and whip Matt. Nick sneaks a tag, before the STANDING SPANISH FLY! But Nick SPLASHES onto knees! Darius saves himself but it’s a bit double-edged given the history of leg injuries. Omega runs in to CLUB Fox! Fox shoulders back in, climbs up and ROCKS Omega! Fox flips over Omega to ROLLING THUNDER on Nick! Omega rushes in to kick Fox low, then whip, but Fox reverses to UPPERCUT! Snapmare roll and CUTTER! But the Bucks mug Fox! They whip, he crisscrosses them up!

Fox kicks Matt, whips Nick to a corner, then runs in at Nick to A-LIST LARIAT! Matt runs in, Fox ELBOWS him away. Fox trips Nick, skins the cat, “This is Awesome!” as Fox SWINGING DROPKICKS Nick, and uses that to roll back for a CUTTER on Matt! Nick runs in but Fox ducks the Penalty Kick to kip up and CUTTER! Fans fire up as Fox fires up, having taken down each of The Elite! Fans rally, Fox builds speed, and he FLIES to take out the Bucks! Fox returns to FLY and take out Omega! Fox hurries back in with Omega, then FLIES to take out the Bucks again! Fox hurries up a corner and aims, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!!

Fox is a bit surprised but Omega toughs it out. Fox brings Omega up but Omega ROCKS him with right hands! Omega JABS, Fox kicks low, and Omega goes to a corner. Fox runs in but into a BOOT! Omega is up, but Fox jumps to ARABIAN PRESS SPLASH! Fans rally up as the two men crawl! Hot tags to Dante and Nick! Dante rallies and DROPKICKS, then facelocks. Nick JAWBREAKERS, tag to Matt, and Nick runs in. Dante flips up and over, Nick tumbles out to the floor! Matt runs in but Dante jumps over without ropes! Dante runs in, ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Fans fire up again as Matt goes to a corner.

Dante runs in, Matt dodges but Dante goes up. Dante BOOTS, jumps, but into the NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express starts up! But Dante slips out, waistlocks, but Matt powers him to ropes. Darius tags in before the O’Conner Roll, both Darius and Fox run in. But Matt gets them for DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!! TRIPLE COVER, TWO!!! Fans are thunderous as Matt almost gets the whole team! Matt tags Nick, then they both aim at Darius. Nick mule kicks, Matt front kicks, but Darius blocks Nick’s superkick and sends it into Matt! Then Darius PELES Nick! Hot tag to Dante and he runs in to whip Nick. Nick reverses but Darius gives Dante the boost up and over!

Darius reels Nick in and Dante gives Darius the boost now for the TORNADO DDT!! Dante covers, Matt breaks it! Fox throws Matt out then goes to the apron. Fox springboards from the top rope, IMPLODER SENTON! Fox wipes out Matt, Omega, and even Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa! Fans are thunderous as Top Flight drags Nick up. NOSEDIVEBOMB!!! Fox tags in, for the 450 SPLASH!!! Cover, OMEGA BREAKS IT IN TIME!!! Fans are losing their minds, and are even louder in saying “THIS IS AWESOME!” Fox puts Nick up top, runs in and jumps up, but Omega catches Fox to block the press!

Nick and Omega have Fox on the ropes, DRAPING SNAP DRAGON! But Dante CLUBS Nick, springboards and FLYING LARIATS Omega down! But Nick FLYING ARM-DRAGS Dante! Darius BOOTS Nick, steps in, COMPLETE SHOT! Matt SUPERKICKS Darius and then SUPERKICKS Dante! SLICED BREAD for Darius! Fox stands, ducks the kick to ENZIGURI! Nick and Omega are back, they double hip toss Fox and bounce him off the ropes, into Matt’s gut wrench! Nick runs, Omega gives him the boost, MELTZER DRIVER!!! Cover, Top Flight breaks it!! By the skin of their teeth, Omega & The Bucks hold onto the belts! As close as they came, will Fox & Top Flight get another opportunity at these titles down the line? Or are The Elite going to have an even bigger challenge come Revolution?

Backstage interview with Stokely Hathaway.

Lexi Nair says there seems to be a lot of cracks in the Firm’s foundation, starting with the infighting between Ethan Page and Matt Hardy. Stokely stops her there and says there are NO cracks in this foundation. Everyone is good, chilling in the hotel right now. But Stokely does have a problem with HOOK! “Everything that has gone wrong, I will say, is Hook’s fault. Lee Moriarty has a loss because of Hook. Ethan Page has a loss because of Hook. Matt Hardy’s walking around bitchin’, asking for a raise because of Hook. Isiah Kassidy is moaning in people’s ears like he’s Lil’ Kim, because of Hook.”

But speaking of, Hook walks down the hall to be right behind Stokely. Stokely puts on a kiss-up smile and says he was just talking about Hook. Next time they’re in Harlem, they can both go to Silvia’s, get some mac ‘n’ cheese. It’s bangin’! Stokely puts his hand on Hook’s shoulder, but Hook wraps him up in a cording hold! Lexi says Hook should stop, he could hurt Stokely! Hook tells Stokely, “The cost of those words.” Hook lets go, Stokely wants medical. Will Stokely make sure to watch his back before mouthing off?

AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Acclaimed VS The Gunns!

And it all comes down to this. Not only is this the big main event on this golden Dynamite, it is the culmination of a partnership turned into a bitter rivalry. Daddy Ass is keeping out of this, will his boys and his sons finally put this one to rest?

But of course, Platinum Max has a diss track on deck! “Acclaimed is still winning there before you all. You will never finish us, like the border wall! You ain’t gonna get the titles soon. We shoot you down like a Chinese spy balloon! Mic drop on the Culo Ninos, pendejos tengas huevos piquenos! Y’all’re lookin’ so mad, boys. You will never be Acclaimed, you are just the Ass Boys!” Bowens says, “ELLLL PASOOOO~! The Acclaimed have arrived!” Austin & Colten shrug off the insults, but will Caster & Bowens add insult to injury? The belts are raised, and we’re going to see who Daddy Ass is proud of the most!

The teams sort out and Colten starts against Caster. Fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~!” but Colten tunes it out. He ties up with Caster, arm-drags him away, and then says “SUCK IT!” Fans boo but Caster brushes that off. Fans then sing “OH~ Scissor Me, Daddy~!” Colten and Caster tie up again, Caster arm-drags Colten, and mocks him with scissor fingers. Colten swings, headlocks, but Caster powers out. Colten runs Caster over, things speed up, and Caster hurdles to arm-drag again! Caster clamps onto an armlock, tags Bowens, and The Acclaimed CHOP away on Colten! Bowens puts Colten in the corner, CHOPS again, then tags Caster.

Bowens wrenches Colten’s arm, Caster goes up to drop an AX HANDLE! Austin tags in but he runs into a hip toss! Caster tags Bowens, holds Austin open, and Bowens goes up! SCISSOR ME TIMBERS! Fans fire up and The Acclaimed SCISSOR FINGER~! Fans love it and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The Gunns regroup, talk strategy, and Austin hurries back in. Austin gets around Caster to shove him at the ropes, but Caster DECKS Colten first! Caster dodges Austin to send him out hard! Austin gets up but Caster PLANCHAS! Down goes Austin and fans fire up! Fans get to scissor finger with Caster before he goes to stomp Colten. Austin sits up, Caster scissor fingers more fans, then he brings Austin up. Caster puts Austin in, but Colten trips Caster right off the apron! Caster crashes on the floor and the ref missed it while checking Austin. Austin taunts Bowens and now the ref has to stop Bowens, allowing Colten to rain down fists on Caster!

Colten puts Caster in for Austin and Austin bumps Caster off buckles. Austin ROCKS Caster, stomps him down, then lets off to soak up heat. Austin tags Colten and Colten stomps Caster. Austin continues to soak up heat and Colten storms up on Caster. Caster kicks from below, throws hands, but Colten hits him back. Colten stomps Caster back down, tags Austin, and Austin stands Caster up to CHOP! Austin swings again but Caster dodges! Caster CHOPS Austin in return! Caster flounders, Colten tags in and he CLUBS Caster down! Colten whips Caster to an open corner hard, and Caster bounces off buckles.

Colten looms over Caster, brings him up again, and DROPKICKS him down! Cover, TWO! Colten is annoyed but Austin tells fans to shut up as they rally. Colten clamps on a chinlock and he grinds Caster down. Caster fights up as Dynamite returns to single picture. Fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~!” and Caster throws body shots. Colten CLUBS Caster, tags Austin, and the Gunns whip to body shot, knee lift and LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Austin keeps his eyes on Bowens and mocks the “SCISSOR ME~!” Caster JAWBREAKERS Austin, dumps him out of the ring, and Austin fumbles off the apron. Caster goes to a corner, Colten runs in, but Caster dodges!

Colten tumbles up and out of the ring while Caster crawls for his corner! Fans fire up, Austin hurries back in and he brings Caster around. Austin wags his finger, but Caster dodges to hot tag Bowens! The Five Tool Player rallies on the Gunns! Bowens kicks Austin low, then fires off elbows and forearms! Colten returns, but Bowens spins him around to kick, and then fires off with forearms and elbows! “EVERYONE! LOVES! THE ACCLAIMED!” Mule kick, front kick and LEG LARIAT BULLDOG for Austin! Cover, but Colten breaks it! Caster CLUBS Colten and stomps him down. The Acclaimed have the Gunns in opposite corners for CHOPS!

The Acclaimed coordinate, whip, but Colten reverses and Austin LARIATS Caster down! Bowens SUPERKICKS Austin! Colten LARIATS Bowens! Caster runs in, DOUBLE LARIATS take him and Colten out! Fans are thunderous as all four men are down! Colten flops out of the ring, Caster crawls to his corner, and Bowens goes to an open corner. Austin crawls after him, but Bowens fires up. Bowens roars and spins, but the ref is a shield! The ref flops all the way out of the ring!! QUICKDRAW!! But there’s no ref to count a cover! Austin isn’t sure what to do, then decides to go out and grab a belt! Austin aims for Bowens!

Fans boo but HERE COMES DADDY ASS! Billy slides in the ring, he stares Austin down, and then stands Bowens up?! Austin rushes in, but Billy pushes Bowens aside! Billy grabs the belt from Austin, he won’t let his sons win like this! Billy throws the belt down, wags his finger, but then Colten CLOBBERS Billy with the other belt!! The Gunns hide the evidence while fans boo. Bowens is stunned, he and Caster fire off haymakers on the Gunns! Fans are thunderous, Caster shoves Colten out! Bowens spins Austin around, ROLLING ELBOW! Bowens slashes the throat, and hits THE ARRIVAL! Caster up top, MIC DROP!!

But where’s the ref!? Caster hurries to fetch Stefon Smith and get him up. Caster manages to get the ref in the ring, but Colten RAMS Caster into railing! Colten drags Bowens off the cover! Austin waistlocks, Bowens turns it around and O’Conner Rolls, but the ref is slow to count! TWO!!! BELT SHOT!!! Roll-up with tights!! GUNNS WIN!?!?

Unbelievable! El Paso is stunned and furious as Austin & Colten not only beat down their own father, but they steal the titles from The Acclaimed! The Ass Boys end the forever reign, but will Billy, Caster and Bowens get revenge at Revolution?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode of AEW, especially with it featuring four of the titles without this being Battle of the Belts. Having both title eliminators first before the title matches was a fairly logical set-up. MJF VS Konosuke was great stuff and MJF really surprised me being able to land out of that top rope lariat. But of course MJF finds a dirty way to win so that he doesn’t owe Konosuke a title match. And naturally, Bryan makes the save to return the favor, though Konosuke already got busted open. Also, once again MJF proves he not only has promo skills, he comes up with such powerful stories to tell. I almost thought he was going to say “Liv” died or something, but because he is Heel, giving us that scumbag plot twist was evil genius.

Hayter VS Bunny was really good, but it feels like it was cut short after the mishap of Bunny fighting the exploder yet still taking it. Bunny’s very talented, but she and Ford should probably hope AEW comes up with Women’s Tag something-or-other if they want gold. And following that up with Saraya & Storm picking on Leva Bates was a good way to get things back to the AEW Women’s Division Civil War story. The JAS gauntlet was great stuff, especially with how fast Starks got through Parker & Menard. Commentary kinda gave away that Jericho would be compelled to face Starks tonight if Starks won against Garcia, but that makes Jericho attacking Starks an even weirder swerve. But I suppose Jericho is that worried that even a tired Starks could beat him, saving their rematch for the PPV.

The Impractical Jokers showing up tonight was interesting, but also #CorporateSynergy between the various Turner channels. But the Jokers calling out Jericho… I wonder if Revolution will have some kind of Impractical Jokers match as a weird Sami Zayn VS Johnny Knoxville knockoff. I suppose Starks having Q, Murr and Sal backing him up could help keep the JAS from screwing Starks over, and we could get some great Impractical Joker references in gags that happen throughout the match. Great promo from Samoa Joe to commend Darby while also calling out Wardlow. Joe and Wardlow are definitely fighting for the TNT title for Revolution, but from what he said, Joe makes it sound like Wardlow will have to earn it by getting wins first.

And speaking of earning the title match, I like that MJF and LFI tried to screw Bryan over. But for sealing the door, it was done hilariously poor since Bryan busted the wood or whatever off pretty easily. Bryan VS Rush was awesome stuff, practically a PPV match itself, and since there was no Moxley, Bryan bled plenty tonight. Bryan of course wins to get that Ironman match, but of course MJF goes after him. Bryan already said he doesn’t care what Doc Sampson says, he’s gonna fight even with an injury, so that bad arm will definitely be how MJF retains. And good promo from Stokely and Hook. At the same time, maybe Stokely will enlist the services of Mark Sterling to sue Hook for assault and that’ll bring about Hook VS Ethan Page for the FTW title.

The Trios title match was also awesome stuff, with Fox & Top Flight looking amazing even in defeat. The Elite of course retain, but they’ve got any number of possible opponents for Revolution. Maybe Blackpool Combat Club or House of Black? And we got a great AEW World Tag title match, though the Gunns were maybe a little clunky at the start. And I do appreciate that they teased Billy turning on The Acclaimed. Billy of course stayed on The Acclaimed’s side, it’d be even more of a bummer if he turned. But at the same time, the Gunns winning to finally be champs and Billy didn’t turn seems rather odd to me. At the same time, there will be a rematch for Revolution, maybe Billy turns then?
