AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy VS “Big Bill” Morrissey w/ Stokely Hathaway!

Freshly Squeezed is standing up for his Best Friends after what The Firm did to them! But is Cassidy biting off way more than he can chew? Or will Big Bill from the Big Apple be just, whatever?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and there’s gold in the Golden State!

The bell rings and Bill stares Cassidy down. Fans rally for Cassidy, he puts his sunglasses aside, and he “fires” himself up. Cassidy steps to Bill, but then steps back as Bill storms up. Cassidy bails out and fans cheer more. The ring count starts and Cassidy dares Bill to come out after him. Bill storms out, but then Cassidy slides back in. Now the count is on Bill! Bill steps up and in, but Cassidy bails back out. Bill and Stokely are both annoyed by these cat ‘n’ mouse games, but Cassidy dares him to come out. “This is Awesome!” but Bill tricks Cassidy! But even then, Cassidy slips away! Fans fire up as Cassidy and Stokely stare down.

Stokely talks trash, but then Cassidy takes Stokely’s shades! Bill sneaks up behind Cassidy, Stokely takes the glasses back, but Cassidy avoids the haymaker! Bill stops short of hitting Stokely, that would’ve knocked him out! Bill hurries in, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges and sunset flips! Bill stays up, drags him up with both hands, then throws him to the corner! But Cassidy dodges, goes to the other corner, dodges again, and keeps moving, tilt-o-whirl- NOPE! Bill blocks the rest, for the SIDEWALK SLAM! Fans boo but Bill drags Cassidy up. Bill puts Cassidy in a corner to SPLASH! Bill taunts Cassidy, “You wanna play games?”

Bill whips Cassidy corner to corner hard and Cassidy bounces off buckles! The fans boo but Bill mocks Cassidy putting his hands in his pockets. Bill whips Cassidy corner to corner again, Cassidy goes up and out, but Bill BOOTS Cassidy down! Cassidy falls to the floor, crawls around the way, but Bill goes out to fetch him. Fans rally and spells it out, “S A W F T, Sawwwwft!” But Bill CLUBS Cassidy, fires off fists, then CLUBS Cassidy again! Cassidy staggers away and falls, but then Bill STANDS on Cassidy! The ref counts, but Stokely commandeers the timekeeper’s table! He and Bill bring it over, and then Bill drags Cassidy up.

The ref tells Bill no, but Bill choke grips! Cassidy fires off fists to fight the slam! But then Bill UPPERCUTS Cassidy! Cassidy staggers away, but then comes back! Cassidy leaps, but into the grip! CHOKE SLAM through the table!! Bill grins as he stands over Cassidy and fans lose their minds as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref finally gets Bill to go back to the ring, and Cassidy stirs in the wreckage. Bill again mocks Cassidy putting hands in his pockets. Stokely wants a ring count and the medic checks Cassidy. Cassidy is somehow okay to continue, so Bill goes out to fetch him. Bill puts Cassidy in the ring, storms up and mocks the fans clapping. Bill drags Cassidy back up, and TOSSES him back out! The ref argues with Bill but that allows Stokely to stomp away! Bill goes out after Stokely again, puts him back in the ring, and he drags Cassidy up again. To TOSS him out again! The ref reprimands, but here comes DANHAUSEN!

Danhausen warns Stokely, Stokely backs off, but then Bill stands in Danhausen’s way. Danhausen stands down to coach Cassidy up. Dynamite returns to single picture as Bill puts Cassidy back in the ring. Bill drags Cassidy up, suplexes, and he holds Cassidy up! Danhausen tries to wave things over, but Bill SLAMS Cassidy down! Cassidy writhes and Bill mocks the pockets again. Fans rally, Cassidy sits up, but Bill stands him up. Cassidy throws body blows but they don’t do anything. Hard to say if that’s because Cassidy is tired or just playing around. Cassidy dodges Bill’s haymaker, ORANGE- NO, Bill blocks the punch to have a FULL NELSON!

Bill thrashes Cassidy around, Cassidy is all but a rag doll! But Cassidy gets a second wind! Cassidy powers up, but Bill runs, only for Cassidy to drop! The boot is denied, and Bill is annoyed. Bill stands Cassidy up, runs again, but again Cassidy drops! And bails out! Fans cheer, Danhausen coaches him up, but Stokely steps up. Danhausen gets mad now. Bill stands in the way, but Danhausen still powers up! Bill choke grips Danhausen! But Stokely says he has a better idea. CAST BACKHAND!! But Cassidy DIVES into Stokely and Bill! Cassidy goes again, another DIVE, but into a choke grip! CHJOKE- ORANGE PUNCH!!

Cassidy has Bill wobbling, and he ORANGE PUNCHES a leg! And then SHOTGUNS Bill into steel steps! Fans fire up as Cassidy gets back in the ring! Cassidy fires up in the corner while Bill drags himself in. Off comes the armband! ORANGE- NO, Bill catches Cassidy to suplex! STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE!! Cassidy tilt-o-whirls to DDT! Fans are thunderous, Orange reloads, ORANGE PUNCH!! Bill stays standing, so Cassidy runs in again, ORANGE PUNCH!! Bill leans on ropes but fans are thunderous! Cassidy goes up top, Bill staggers over, FLYING ORANGE PUNCH!!! Cover, Cassidy wins!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall (still AEW All-Atlantic Champion)

Now that was a HUGE win for Cassidy! If not even Big Bill can dethrone the Freshly Squeezed fighting champion, who can?

AEW shares footage from after last week’s Dynamite.

After a bloody battle with Evil Uno, The Dark Order and Hangman Page, Jon Moxley stormed backstage with Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli, and he was furious! Moxley tastes his own blood, but it tastes like victory and life! That is what Moxley is about! He lives life to the fullest. He’s said it before that he’s a sick man and this is what he likes. It isn’t something to aspire to, but he lives for this sh*t! And he’s not the kind of guy you wanna go down a dark alley with. Who do you think is gonna come out of this? WHO DO YOU THINK IS GONNA COME OUT OF THIS!? But just remember, Hangman, you wanted this.

Moxley tried to leave it alone. He beat Hangman once, sent him to the hospital, barely broke a sweat, and got no credit for it. Many said it was an accident. Then Hangman beats Moxley and Moxley comes back from the worst injury in years, and then does the same to Hangman! Hangman got praised, he got flowers, but Moxley got nothing! They said it was a fluke, it wasn’t real, it didn’t count! But that’s what Moxley would say to, if he got beat by a wrestling move he learned in the seventh grade. But this time, Moxley will leave no doubt. “Hangman, you are a great wrestler. You are even a great man. But you are NOT the same animal as me!!”

There is only room for one of this kind of animal in AEW. There is only room for one like Moxley in this ecosystem, and he will die to protect what’s his. See you in TEXAS DEATH!! Blood has already been spilt in this feud, but who will be the one willing to give it all just to win one more time?

The Elite is here!

Or they were… The lights go out, they come back, and the HOUSE OF BLACK is here!! Malakai, Brody and Buddy attack Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in the dark! And when the lights are finally up, the House hold up the Trios Championships, with the Elite at their feet! And then the lights go out again! Will this be how it goes at Revolution?

Samoa Joe is here!

The One True King of Wrestling Television is in San Francisco to join commentary for the Face of the Revolution! Provided he makes it through Wardlow this Sunday, will Joe be facing the winner of the golden ring?

Face of the Revolution Ladder Match: Sammy Guevara VS Action Andretti VS Konosuke Takeshita VS Ortiz VS AR Fox VS Eddie Kingston VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS Komander!

The Spanish God already beat Action on Rampage, but that was with some help from Daniel Garcia. Now that it’s an eight man scramble to the top, will Sammy still stand tall? Or will a pro-wrestler become The Face of the Revolution?

Dynamite returns as Sammy makes his entrance, with Fox, Hobbs, Action, Konosuke, Komander and Ortiz already in the ring. The Mad King is giving Ortiz space by being on the outside, but the bell rings and Ortiz goes right out after him! They brawl, Fox bails out to get a ladder, as does Sammy. Komander and Action each dropkick the ladders into them! Hobbs fires off on Konosuke while Action DIVES onto Sammy, and then Komander DIVES onto Fox! There’s no one in the ring, Eddie drops a ladder on Ortiz! Konosuke ROCKS Hobbs, throws hands, and Komander whips Fox. Fox reverses, Komander tilt-o-whirls, but into an ANARCHY!

Ortiz and Eddie fight to the stage! Sammy RAMS Fox with a ladder, then RAMS him again! Fans boo as Sammy leans the ladder in a corner, then fetches a second ladder. Action SHOTGUNS that ladder into Sammy! Sammy bails out, Komander is up top, and he tightrope walks to MISSILE DROPKICK a ladder into Action! Hobbs runs in to CLOBBER Action! Fans fire up for California’s own as Hobbs sets that second ladder in a corner. Hobbs then whips Komander into the ladder! Fox runs in but Hobbs CLOBBERS him! Hobbs TOSSES Fox onto the other ladder! Action returns, but Hobbs CLOBBERS him, too!

Hobbs scoops Action, takes aim, and he RAMS Action into a ladder! Action slumps down, Sammy slides in, but Hobbs is ready. Sammy shakes his head and bails back out. Hobbs says that’s right, but Konosuke gets in the ring. Fans fire up as the forearms start flying! Konosuke runs in, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Konosuke staggers, but he comes back! DOUBLE LARIATS collide again! Both men DOUBLE LARIAT again! Konosuke leans on a ladder, Hobbs runs in, but he’s sent into the ladder! Konosuke waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX Hobbs! Don Callis is watching backstage, he is still interested in the Future of Wrestling.

Konosuke throws Hobbs out of the ring, but turns around into a KNEE from Sammy! Sammy soaks up the heat, he builds speed, but runs into a SUPERKICK from Action! Action builds speed, and he FLIES to take out Sammy! Fans fire up as Action brings Sammy up, but Fox springboards, IMPLODING SENTON! Fox takes out Sammy and Action, but Komander is up top! Komander tightrope walks again, to SWANTON the pile!! Fans are thunderous while Dynamite goes picture in picture!

The refs check and all eight men are okay to continue, so it’s about who gets to their feet first. Sammy staggers up and hurries into the ring. Fox stands, the others stir, and Sammy is working on a ladder. Sammy stands it up while Konosuke sends Komander into barriers. Fox has his own ladder on the outside that he stands up. Sammy climbs, Komander sends Konosuke into barriers, and Action CLUBS Sammy! Then he RAMS Sammy with the other ladder. Sammy ROCKS Action, but Fox continues to put ladders up together on the outside. Sammy whips Action into the other ladder! Then he puts that ladder against the other like a bridge.

Sammy climbs up, but Komander drags him down. Komander then fires up to climb, but Konosuke CLUBS him down! Konosuke ROCKS Kmander, has him on the ropes, and TOSSES him out! Konosuke then PLANCHAS to take Komander down! Both men scramble back into the ring, Dynhamite returns to single picture, and Komander stomps Konosuke. But Konsouke keeps Komander from climbing, and DECKS him! Hobbs DECKS Konosuke! Fans fire up as Hobbs brings Komander up and aims for the ladders Fox has set up. But Fox SMACKS Hobbs with a chair! Fox done messed up, though, as Hobbs fireman’s carries! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER on the ladder bridge!!

Konosuke runs in, he and Hobbs DOUBLE LARIAT and they both fall! And Sammy’s back in the ring to climb! Fans boo, but who is up to stop him?! Action goes up a ladder, to the bridge, and then after Sammy! Action and Sammy brawl, Action gets the edge, then climbs up, to SUPER FALCON ARROW on the ladder bridge! Sammy falls off, Action’s leg gets caught! Fans lose their minds, but Komander is up top again! He aims at Fox on the other bridge, to SHOOTING STAR PRESS!! Fox sputters and falls to the floor while fans lose their minds all over again! Komander then climbs up into the ring with ladders!

Komander has a clear path, he gets to the central ladder, but Konosuke follows right behind! Konosuke waistlocks, to SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB off the ladder!!! Komander flops out of the ring, fans are giving a standing ovation! Konosuke moves the bridge out of the way, he climbs up again, and he reaches out. But Action springboards right up to join him! They brawl with forearms, only for DANIEL GARCIA to shove the ladder over! Konosuke and Action HOTSHOT, and then Garcia hits Action with an UREANGE! Sammy gets the tallest ladder of the bunch closer to the ring, and then he and Garcia get chairs.

Garcia and Sammy set up a ladder bridge with those chairs, then drag Action over. They put Action on the ladder, CHOP him, then Sammy climbs the tallest ladder! Sammy says he’s loco, for this SWANTON BOMB through the ladder!! Both Sammy and Action writhe, but Garcia helps Sammy up! Garcia puts Sammy in the ring, sets a ladder up for him, and fans boo as Garcia drags Sammy to the rungs. Sammy reaches the top, grabs at the ring, but Konosuke tips the ladder over! Now Garcia and Sammy HOTSHOT! Konosuke TOSSES Garcia and POWER DRIVE KNEES Sammy down!!

Konosuke gets the ladder up! Konosuke climbs, but HOBBS is back! Hobbs BODIES the ladder! Konosuke falls, Hobbs stands the ladder up, then climbs up, and grabs the ring! Hobbs unhooks it, and WINS!

Winner: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs (NEW Face of the Revolution)

The young man from Oakland just handled his business! Now he waits to see who wins between Joe and Wardlow. Joe tells Hobbs not to get ahead of himself, but Hobbs is storming up the ramp. Joe meets him at the stage, but so does Wardlow! Security rushes out to keep this from exploding, but Wardlow fires off on them! Joe gets away, and Hobbs is laughing at it all! Wardlow is pissed that his prey got away, so he POWERBOMBS one guard onto all the other guards! Will whoever wins the TNT Championship have one hell of a fight on their hands with Hobbs?

Backstage interview with Best Friends.

Renee Paquette is with Trent, Chuck, Danhausen and Orange Cassidy with unfortunate news. Trent and Chuck are NOT medically cleared to compete in the Casino Tag Team Battle Royal given that attack from Rampage. Danhausen says he has good news: he and Cassidy are also Best Friends and can sub in! Well, okay, but we just saw Cassidy go through a big battle against Big Bill. Can Cassidy really turn right around and enter a battle royal? “Ugh…” Danhausen says Cassidy is just fine, he can do it. Plus, there’s plenty of room in that backpack for more championships. Is Cassidy sure? “I don’t care.”

Well, then, hands in! Renee joins in, but can #OrangeHausen really pull off a huge win for their Best Friends?

Chris Jericho VS “Pretty” Peter Avalon!

The Ocho got goaded into a rematch at Revolution with Ricky Starks, mostly because he refused to let anyone else take that match instead. “Pretty” Peter got a spiked-jacket Judas Effect for wanting an opportunity, will he get a slightly less dangerous one for wanting payback?

Dynamite returns as Avalon makes his entrance. The bell rings, Jericho takes his jacket off, and Avalon TACKLES him! Fans fire up as Avalon rains down fists! Avalon HAMMERS away on Jericho, has him in a corner, CHOPS and ROCKS on repeat! Avalon whips, Jericho bails out and fans boo. Avalon builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit into the barriers! Avalon CLUBS Jericho, CHOPS him, and then CHOPS him again! Avalon whips Jericho into steel steps! Avalon digs his fingers into Jericho’s face, digs Jericho’s face into the post, then puts him in the ring. Jericho clings to referee Aubrey Edwards, but Avalon CLAWS Jericho’s back!

Avalon CHOPS, CHOPS, and whips, but Jericho ducks ‘n’ dodges, into a BOOT from Avalon! Cover, TWO! Fans rally as Avalon RAMS Jericho into the corner. Avalon CHOPS and ROCKS and RAMS into Jericho over and over. Avalon lets off, but runs back in, only to be put on the apron. Avalon ROCKS Jericho, climbs up and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Avalon keeps moving, he leaps off the corner, FLYING DDT! Cover, TWO!! Fans fire up but Avalon turns around into a CODE BREAKER! Cover, Jericho wins!

Winner: Chris Jericho, by pinfall

Avalon almost had Jericho, but he lost focus and that was all Jericho needed. But Jericho has Floyd the Baseball Bat! Fans boo as Jericho CLOBBERS Avalon with Floyd! And then Jericho CLUBS away on Avalon with the bat! But here comes RICKY! Starks makes sure the JAS isn’t following, then he runs into the ring to run Jericho off! Jericho gets a mic to tell fans to shut up. “Starks! On Sunday, right here in this crappy town of San Francisco, I’m gonna beat the hell outta you! One on one! Just because the Jericho Appreciation Society is not allowed at ringside doesn’t mean they’re not here at ringside tonight.”

Garcia returns, an d Jake Hager is with him! They mug Starks, and Jericho joins in! Fans boo as the JAS beat Starks down 3v1! Hager hoists Starks up for a SPINEBUSTER! Fans boo again but Hager stands Starks up for Garcia to hit the URENAGE! Fans boo more but Jericho gets Floyd back! Hager and Garcia stand Starks up, for the JUDAS EFFECT! Fans boo but the JAS just soak it all up. Starks is down now, but will it be a very different story when Jericho has to stand all on his own?

Hangman Page speaks.

“This Sunday is the finish line, the finale. Hangman, Mox, Texas Death! I talked to Dark Order earlier today, and I don’t think he meant anything by it, but Alex said that if this is the end of Mox and me, then aren’t I just a little bit afraid of losing? Look at me. This match, this is all I’ve got left to lose. I had the AEW World Championship and I lost that. I had another shot at it, Mox, and you took that from me. You can’t take my friends away from me, you already beat Uno within an inch of his life last week. You can’t take my memory from me, it’s gone.

“You can’t take the feeling in the tips of my fingers because I ain’t got it anymore, Mox. And you can’t take away my heart because you couldn’t carry it. This Sunday, Jon, I take everything away from you. I take your spot at the top of the food chain here. I take your pride in blood and violence. At the end of the throes of war, I am the man left standing. And you’re right, I’m not the same kind of animal as you. I don’t enjoy violence, I hate it. I hate it to its core. But this Sunday, I will be the most violent and bloodthirsty son of a b*tch that you have ever seen, not in spite of that but because of it.

“Because that is who I know I will have to be to beat you, and beating you is the last glimmer of hope that I do have here, Jon. This is Texas Death. And there’s only two ways out. Either you live, or you die. And I ain’t done living. Jon, after Sunday, you… You will never be the same.” The Cowboy is ready to do what he must against The Maniac, who makes it out alive?

Renee Paquette is in the ring.

And she has us welcome Christian Cage! Fans boo as Captain Charisma makes his way out. Christian joins Renee in the ring, and she asks him that after Jungle Boy overcame all odds and defeated Luchasaurus at Full Gear, things would finally be done between them all. And yet, here we are. What is going on? Christian says the feeling is mutual for San Francisco, he can’t wait to not be here for another 10 years. Fans boo but Christian says let’s not blur the lines of reality. The better part of six months, Christian has embarrassed Jungle Boy, and beat him down at will. Christian was done, until he turns on Dynamite and sees Jack Perry.

What does Jack say? That in 2023, he’s gonna win a singles title. “Over my dead body!” Christian says HE will win a singles title in 2023 and that’s a fact! Fans say STFU but Christian says he’s been watching JB. JB has been winning by quick pins, but if he’s okay winning a title that way, fine. But does he want to win, or does he want to BEAT someone? Does he wanna break someone down, break their will, and then take their title? That’s rhetorical. Christian knows the answer. When JB jumped Christian from behind, he had him dead to rights for a Con-Chair-To, and he hesitated.

Then what happened? Christian turned it around, and showed JB how a REAL man conducts business, when HE smashed JB on the chair, leaving him in a pool of blood and piss! And another thing that has been bothering Christian was just a few minutes ago. Why does JB wanna win a title so bad? It then hit Christian like a ton of bricks. JB has no respect for the lineage or priority or prestige of a championship. JB just wants to take that shiny new toy home to show his mommy, make some memes, get some attention. The problem with JB, and for everyone in his entire generation, is that they treat Christian’s business like a video game!

“You are a dime a dozen.” Christian says that no one else is willing to sink to the depths that he will, do the things he does in the ring! Christian is one of one! And unlike JB’s generation, Christian treats this like an ATM, and he is not done milking it dry! But that brings Christian to a challenge he has for JB. This Sunday, Revolution, it won’t be a match, but it will be a fight. No rules, no regulations, just a fight. The sad reality is, if JB chooses to show up, at the end of the day, JB is just his father’s son. Just like his father, JB is a no talent hack who should be thankful he got Hollywood good looks to coast through life!

This business is not for him! JB doesn’t have the guts! He isn’t a closer! He has no grit! He has NOTHIN! JB doesn’t have an ounce of what Christian has inside! But then the lights go down? And on the tron, JB has a video. He’s digging something. JB thinks back to the moment he could’ve hit Christian with the Con-Chair-To. Of all the moments they had together as friends. But then the betrayal, the beatings, the blood. JB has dug Christian’s grave! Renee asks Christian’s reaction. Fans sing, “Jack is gonna kill~ you!” Christian is speechless as he leaves, will his fight with Jungle Boy be his last?

Tony Schiavone interviews Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter.

Schiavone asks the Doctor and the AEW Women’s World Champion about the Triple Threat, Hayter VS Ruby Soho VS Saraya. Hayter says, “Ah, yes, this Sunday at Revolution. And to be honest, Tony, I don’t know which will be sweeter. Beating one b*tch or two.” Britt says tonight, Saraya can watch two former AEW Women’s World Champions duke it out in the ring, but guess what? She can look but she can’t touch, because she’ll NEVER have this belt. And Hayter says that if Saraya wants to cause shenanigans, go ahead, because Britt & Hayter will be there watching, too. The Pillar & the Killer have warned the outsiders, will things pop off before Revolution?

FTW Championship: Hook VS Matt Hardy w/ Ethan Page!

A settlement was signed between AEW and Stokely Hathaway, and The Firm is sending the one and only Matt Hardy to face the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil! But on Rampage, it was added that if Hook wins, he gets a shot at Stokely! Will the gamble pay off for The Firm? Or will they all regret ever getting on Hook’s bad side?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and so are the stakes for this title match!

The ref counts, Hardy lets off, and he grabs Hook’s leg. Hardy yanks Hook up, but Hook lands on his feet out of Hardy’s sit-down bomb! Hook SLIDING LARIATS! Hook elbows the Side Effect, SAYANAGI, and then a whip. Hardy reverses, runs in, but men COLLIDE head to head! Fans rally while a standing count starts. Hook and Hardy stir, the Firm coaches Hardy but Hook is up first. Hardy flounders, Stokely sneaks his cast to Ethan! Ethan CLOBBERS Hook!!

Fans boo as The Firm get away with it, but then Stokely has to hide his “bad” hand! Hardy covers, TWO!?!? Hook survives, but now Hardy says “DELETE! DELETE!” Hardy brings Hook up, reels him in, TWIST- REDRUM!!! Hardy taps, Hook wins!!!

Winner: Hook, by submission (still FTW Champion)

Stokely is panicking! Hook gets a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH with Stokely, with NO Firm ringside! Will Stokely have more than just a cast on his arm after Hook’s down with him?

The House of Black speak.

They step out of the shadows, holding onto the AEW World Trios Championships, as Malakai says, “The greatest enemy is not the enemy that’s made out of flesh and bone. No, the greatest enemy is composed out of fear. Fear that eats away at the soul and forces loss before the body ever does. See, these titles, we’ll leave them here because they belong to you. But just know that on Sunday, you have already lost.” The belts are placed on the ground, and Julia Hart says, “See you at Revolution.” Will gold soon adorn the House of Black?

Toni Storm w/ Saraya VS Riho!

Just as the current champion said, this is a battle of two former champions! The Lightning From Down Under was the previous, but the Wrestling Idol was the inaugural! Will Saraya help Storm strike down Riho before going for the gold? Or will the outsiders be on the defensive going into Sunday?

Dynamite returns and Riho makes her entrance. The bell rings and Storm runs up on Riho! Storm stomps Riho in the corner, the ref counts and fans boo, but Storm lets off at 4. Storm CLUBS Riho, whips her to ropes, but Riho handsprings through to SHOTGUN again! Storm is still up, Riho runs and wheelbarrows, victory roll, STOMP 182! Fans fire up, Riho covers, TWO! Saraya is annoyed, but Riho clamps onto Storm with a CROSSFACE!

Storm endures, Saraya says Riho’s cheating, but the ref says he has no idea what she’s talking about. Storm crawls around, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Saraya protests that Riho should break but the ref says he’s told Riho to break and she did. Saraya calls Riho a cheater but Riho swipes at her again. Storm CLOBBERS Riho from behind! Storm then has Riho on the apron, to HIP ATTACK her to the floor! Storm and the ref argue, Saraya KNEES Riho down! Fans boo but Saraya has the camera look at Riho. Saraya mocks Riho’s pain, and Storm goes out to fetch Riho. Storm whips Riho into the POST!

Fans boo but Saraya cheers Storm on. But here come Britt & Hayter! They warned Saraya so here they are! Storm and Saraya see them coming, but Saraya just smiles. Storm drags Riho up while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes speak.

The Limitless One says, “Let’s talk urgency. Dustin Rhodes, or as I like to call him, Dusty, drug me over here to say we need to deliver a message to the Mogul Affiliates. And I regret to inform you, I forgot my lovely, luscious new jacket. But this is more than what you’ve done to us. This is about what you do to others. And I personally will not have it. Dustin, what is it you like to say?” The Natural says, “Darkness has fallen over the city of San Francisco, and this Friday night, live on Rampage on TNT, you’re gonna find out we don’t like playing games! We are Naturally Limitless, and you’re gonna remember our name!” They have called out Swerve’s House, will they also tear it down?

Casino Tag Team Battle Royal!

There are a lot of second chances in this match from last week’s Revolution Tag Team Battle Royal. But after what The Firm did to Best Friends in a favor to Team Triple J, will that fourth and final spot in the AEW World Tag Team Championship match be Freshly Squeezed? Or will another two man unit have their shot at gold?

Reynolds fires off on Claudio! Silver digs his boots in on Yuta, Reynolds rains down fists on Claudio! Silver throws Yuta at ropes but Yuta clings to them to avoid being thrown out. The Lucha Brothers drag Claudio up, Rush goes after Penta. Fenix and Claudio are back on the apron, they brawl again, and Penta fights against Rush. Claudio tries to help but Fenix BOOTS Claudio! Penta fights free, CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS Rush, and even Jose gets in the face of a Lucha Brothers fan. The countdown is back, and the fifth team is… AUSSIE OPEN! Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher are still stateside, so they’re getting back in on the action!

Penta GAMANGIRIS Vance, Davis scoops Fenix to feed the POP-UP KICK from Fletcher! Claudio scoops Silver, but silver slips free to shove Claudio and UPPERCUT! Silver scoops Claudio and fans fire up! But Yuta saves Claudio, only for Reynolds to BOOT Claudio! Yuta whips Silver to a corner but Silver dodges! Beaver Boy Blitz for Yuta! Reynolds hurries to TOSS Yuta, but Claudio is there to save him! The Dark Order storm up to fire off!

But then Aussie Open drags Dark Order back, SPINEBUSTER SANDWICH! Then they double scoop, but Dark Order gets free, only for the BCC to grab hold of them! The BCC drag the Dark Order up and out, and ELIMINATE them at the same time!! The Dark Order is OUT of the running! Fans boo, but then Aussie Open mugs the BCC as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Yuta CHOPS and ROCKS Davis while Claudio ROCKS Fletcher. The BCC then slide out just to go after the Dark Order more! They send them into the barriers! BCC just hates the Dark Order now! The refs reprimand but the BCC don’t care. They go back into the ring, Fenix fights Vance but then Aussie Open mugs him. Yuta stomps Penta, Rush drags Penta out to RAM him into barriers! Davis and Claudio mug Fenix, but then they brawl with each other. Claudio UPPERCUTS Davis down! The countdown is back, and the sixth team is… MENARD & PARKER! The Kingdom see Penta, he says “CERO! MIEDO!” And then Aussie Open get a member each, they DOUBLE HALF ‘N’ HALF The Kingdom! Penta stomps Davis but Fletcher CLUBS Penta. Fenix CLUBS Fletcher, Davis CLUBS Fenix. Wait, The Trustbusters/Varsity Athletes storm out here! They’re not part of the match, but they’re after the Lucha Brothers! They drag them out from under, to RAM them into barriers! And then they throw them into the apron, back into barriers, and then the POST! Fans boo, Daivari throws down hands on Fenix! Nese drags Penta up, refs reprimands, but they feed Fenix to Woods for an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly!

Nese says to get them in, and they put the Lucha Brothers back in. LFI pick the bones by throwing the Lucha Brothers up and out, the LFI ELIMINATE the Lucha Brothers!! Fans boo, but Darius dumps Rush out! Rush holds his feet up off the ground by that was close! Vance throws Dante up and out, but he lands safe on the apron. Vance fires off on Darius but Dante stomps away on Rush! Vance rushes Dante, but Dante dumps him out and ELIMINATES him! The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass stand tall protecting OrangeHausen, but will nothing stop Platinum Max & the Five Tool Player from becoming two-time tag team champions?

AEW takes a special look at MJF VS Bryan Danielson.

Jim Ross says that he won’t judge anyone’s character, but MJF’s can be perceived as “somewhat questionable.” Excalibur says that, if nothing else, MJF is a “very cold and calculating man.” Christopher Daniels says MJF will do anything to hold onto the title. And Bryan Danielson probably doesn’t even realize how long MJF will go. But Bryan meditates in the wilderness as he thinks back on all MJF has done and said. Renee Paquette says that Bryan has risen to the occasion and “proves time and time again just the durability of the wrestler that he is, just the technician that he is.”

Excalibur says that “from the moment he wakes up ’til the moment he goes to sleep, he’s thinking about professional wrestling, and ways to be the best professional wrestler in the world.” Taz says MJF has something to prove. And with the motivation of how no one thinks MJF can hang with Bryan for 60 minutes, Taz thinks MJF can. MJF works out in the gym, laser focused on every step he’s taking. Tony Schiavone says the Ironman match plays right into Bryan’s strengths. We’ve seen a more physical, more determined and more vicious MJF, but that’s because he realizes what he is in for with Bryan.

JR adds that he’s seen a lot of 60 minute Ironman matches, and they are just devastating. Dean Malenko says Bryan has done four of these matches, MJF has done none. But Dean will say that MJF could talk for 60 minutes. Excalibur says Bryan’s shoulder will be an obvious target for MJF, but if Bryan were to win this, that’d right a lot of wrongs. Both men are ready, and we hear from them in person, after the break!

Bryan Danielson is here!

Renee is there to meet The American Dragon in the ring and fans fire up. Bryan high-fives with Renee and she says that we are days away from the Ironman match for the AEW World Championship. “The animosity between the two of you is at an all time high, but I wanna bring this to your attention. This is a post from 2014 from MJF as he was dropping out of college, there’s actually a specific reference to you, saying that he is about to pursue his dream and his passion to become a professional wrestler. Does this change your perception of Max at all ahead of this match?”

Bryan says the thing is, a little over seven years ago, Bryan was forced to retire. And two years later, Bryan came back and said, “If you fight for your dreams, your dreams will fight for you.” But here comes MJF! Fans boo, but MJF has the music cut. Bryan tells MJF to shut up already! “For once in your life, just shut up! For weeks, I’ve been listening to you come out here and say all of these different reasons why you hate me. You hate me because people respect me and you think you deserve that respect. You hate me because some people call me the best wrestler in the world, and as AEW Champion, you think you deserve that.

“He hates me because I have a wonderful wife, I have wonderful kids, and he thinks he deserves that. That’s why he hates me!” But Max, you think you deserve all of these things, but you have done nothing to earn them, and nothing to fight for them! Fans fire up as Bryan says MJF has taken every shortcut, every cheat that he can to become AEW World Champion, but he hasn’t fought for it. And if there’s one thing MJF does deserve, it’s his fiancé leaving him! MJF gets mad now! He throws his jacket off as Bryan says, “Pinning shoulders to mats and banging rats, is that what you do, Max? That doesn’t seem like somebody I’d want my daughter to marry.”

Bryan says MJF wants to fight, but Bryan is ready to fight any time! Because unlike MJF, who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Bryan has been fighting his whole life! He fought poverty, depression, head injuries, shoulder injuries, retirement, The Authority, and fought for EVERYTHING! “Before I came here, I had a job that would’ve paid me for the rest of my life, but I left and I came to AEW because I wanted to FIGHT!” Fans cheer that! And when Bryan talks about fighting for dreams, his new dream is to become AEW World Champion! And goddamn it will he fight for that.

“So Max, this Sunday, at Revolution, you better be ready to fight with everything you have for SIXTY FULL MINUTES! And if you don’t… You are going to get your F*CKING HEAD KICKED IN!!” MJF is shocked and the fans are thunderous with “YES! YES! YES!” MJF is speechless for the first time in his life, but will he be able to speak with actions in Revolution’s ONE HOUR main event?!

My Thoughts:

This was a great Dynamite and a great go-home episode. Jericho VS Avalon was the only weak match but duh, of course Jericho squashes Avalon and of course he sets Starks up for a beatdown by the JAS. This go-home math makes me think Starks wins at Revolution, which would be more effective if he hadn’t already beat Jericho but whatever. Cassidy VS Big Bill was great stuff, though it seems The Firm is just going to be on the losing end of a lot of things. Cassidy retains his title, and in a great match from Hook VS Hardy, Hook retains his title. Now Hook gets to tear into Stokely, who of course doesn’t really have a broken hand.

And I was just wondering what happens if Best Friends, Chuck & Trent, couldn’t compete. The answer: Freebird rules of the faction name. OrangeHausen steps up to represent, and we got a great Casino Tag Battle Royal with them winning. Just like last week’s tag battle royal, we got great story stuff from the other teams, and I like that there’s a growing feud between Dark Order and Blackpool Combat Club, and one between the Lucha Brothers and whatever faction we’re seeing with Daivari and the Varsity Athletes. And per Best Friends’ feud with Triple J, we saw Triple J jump OrangeHausen, but then Acclaimed fought them off, good go-home to the tag title match.

We got really good stuff out of the AEW Women’s Championship story. Storm VS Riho was a great match, and since Storm isn’t in the Triple Threat on Sunday, she could give up a win to Riho to also spur on story stuff. Great brawl from Hayter, Saraya and Ruby, it kinda muddies the math since no one necessarily stood tall, but that makes for a lot of fun. We still need more Women’s Division stuff, because there doesn’t even seem to be a match for Jade on Revolution unless she has an Open Challenge for the Buy-In and it’s a big name from one of AEW’s partners, like Impact. There are probably a lot of great Impact stars who could take on Jade.

Really good promo from #NaturallyLimitless, they’re probably gonna beat Mogul Affiliates by pinning Parker Boudreaux. Really good promo from Christian Cage to challenge Jungle Boy, and great response from JB with that grave. I hope by “fight,” they make it a Street Fight or something so that it’s at least on record. JB can stick it to Christian by beating him down. And I actually really liked that The Elite got jumped by The House of Black, and then The House of Black had a good promo to hype of the trios title match. I think The Elite still retain, but this is going to be one hell of a match.

That Face of the Revolution Ladder Match was awesome stuff! Though, also really scary, mostly when Action got caught up in the ladder after he hit Sammy with the Falcon Arrow. But thankfully, Action’s leg survived, he still fought the rest of the match, but of course he and Sammy took each other out. For a moment, it seemed like Konosuke was gonna get the win, and he needs to get to a title at some point, too, but it just makes sense that they went with Hobbs. Hobbs also needs to get a title, and just like with them circling back to Joe VS Wardlow, Hobbs is back in the TNT title scene. Joe VS Wardlow can go either way, and then I would think whoever wins loses to Hobbs.

And just awesome promos to hype up the two biggest matches on Revolution. Moxley was still bloody and still bleeding during his promo, but it didn’t stop him from giving a great promo. Hangman had a great response, too, and the Texas Deathmatch could steal the show with how brutal they get. And though they had a vignette right before the very last segment with Bryan and MJF, it was a well-made vignette. And also, Bryan taking over the promo segment from MJF was awesome stuff. The actual censoring of Bryan’s final line was so badly done it was hilarious, but I do love that he shut MJF down. That Ironman match will be great stuff, too, but I still think MJF wins because he cheats the most he’s ever cheated.

My Score: 9/10

Jon Moxley heads to the ring!

Indianapolis, Indiana fires up as the NEW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion walks in from the back of the crowd! The Maniac shocked the world when he defeated Tetsuya Naito in Chicago and added NJPW’s top prize to his already incredible list of accolades. Moxley goes to the ring, gets the mic, and the fans chant for him as he says, “One of the first championships I ever won, y’know, Salvation Army Community Center at Fountain Square right here in Indianapolis.” The fans cheer that! Moxley continues by saying even back then 20 years ago, he was swimming up stream, never had help.

In fact, a lot of people tired to tell him what he can and can’t do, what he can and can’t accomplish. His words to those people now is the same as back then: kiss his ass and watch him! Watch as he climbs mountain after mountain after mountain. Because being great is not about what others say, it’s about what’s inside. Now, if you didn’t know, this is THE IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The fans chant “You Deserve It!” and Moxley say this title is steeped in history, illustrious to the extreme, and he has been chasing it for five years. Five years of pain, heartache, wins and losses, pints of sweat and blood, thousands of miles across the ocean.

Five years ago, people said Moxley holding this title, and live on American TV, was impossible. But it wasn’t impossible. Not if they knew what was inside Moxley. That is what this is all about. When your back is against he wall, how deep can you dig? When you feel you have nothing left, choking on your own blood, how deep are you willing to dig and how far are you willing to go? Are you willing to dare to show the world how great you are? THAT is what AEW is about! The fans cheer that, too! Moxley says this brings him to his point: The Don Callis Family. The fans boo now, but Moxley continues.

There are very talented individuals in league with Don Callis. Don Callis is a creep. The fans cheer that! Moxley says he has no time for Callis, but he is feeding these guys lies and those guys are buying it. And then those guys put a hit out and tried to hurt Moxley’s friend and teammate, Bryan Danielson. Now, if you’re putting a target on Bryan’s back, you might as well put one on Moxley’s. You wanna get violent? You wanna be tough guys? Well, you’re welcome to come find Moxley, he’ll be here all night. But he suspects that maybe, he’s not their type. What he could do is run up on them with a tire iron. He could run them over in the parking lot.

But he gets the sense that that wont’ teach the DCF anything. So he’ll pick the biggest, baddest, meanest one of all of ’em, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, and challenge Hobbs to a match one week from tonight in the main event of Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida. Hobbs will accept, because in that match, Hobbs will find out just how out of his depths he is stepping to the IWGP World Champion. Because Moxley won’t make it quick or easy. He will drag Hobbs to the deepest waters that there are, and Hobbs will look around and see no shore. When he asks the ref for the rescue, Hobbs will know the difference between him and Moxley, and that Callis is feeding him lies.

Hobbs will know that he, like everyone else in this business, NO ONE can touch Moxley! There are a lot of great wrestlers in this world, but there is and only ever will be ONE Jon Moxley! The fans fire up for that, but will Hobbs survive the homecoming at Daily’s Place?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

“Last week, somebody attacked me in the dark because they were too afraid to face me in the light. But as the CEO, I always get right back up. And as the CEO, I can’t wait to pay back that b*tch that attacked me last week. Lights off, huh? That sounds a little too familiar, Julia Hart.” Mercedes didn’t think Julia was the kind to be a coward. Or maybe, it was someone who wants us to think it’s Julia? Maybe it’s someone who doesn’t wanna face Mercedes when she’s healthy. Either way, Mercedes puts the entire division on notice, and she will watch that Mixed Tag Match. But remember this: There’s a price to pay when you mess with Mone.

Mixed Tag Match: Adam “Edge” Copeland & Willow Nightingale VS Brody King & Julia Hart!

Speaking of that Mixed Tag, Dynamite is about to get Rated R as the TNT Champion and the Babe with the Power are stepping to the King of Death and the TBS Champion! Will Copeland & Willow have the edge going into Dynasty? Or will even now, The House Always Win?

Wait! Willow is down and out! A medic checks her but she says she’s fine. Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway aren’t so sure, but there is Dynasty to think about. And then the lights go out in the arena! And when they come back up, surprise! Brody is in the ring and he CLOBBERS Edge! Julia laughs from the stage as Brody TOSSES Edge out. The fans hoot and bark as Brody whips Edge hard into the barriers! Brody CHOPS Edge, stalks him, then whips him into more barriers! Brody makes Edge take a seat, fires off forearms, then hoots as he gets space. The fans hoot along and Brody comes back, to CROSSBODY Edge against the LEDs!

Brody stands, the ref reprimands but this isn’t even a match yet! Did the House just take out their enemies in quick fashion? Edge crawls towards the ring, he isn’t gonna let the House have their way! Edge drags himself up to the apron and into the ring, and the fans fire up as the bell rings! Brody runs up to SPLASH in the corner! Edge falls over, Brody storms around, then Brody drags Edge up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Brody CHOS Edge, has him on ropes, and CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Brody steps back, and Julia gets a cheap shot in! Then she CHOKES Edge while the ref is still busy with Brody! Brody storms up on Edge, suplexes high and hard, then stalks up behind Edge. Brody drags Edge up, ROCKS him, and Edge ends up in a corner. Brody digs his boots in, the ref counts again, but Brody lets off at 4. Edge sits down in the corner and Brody gives him scuffing, toying kicks. Brody lets off to stand Edge up, and CHOP him down! Brody CHOKES Edge on ropes again, but lets off as the ref counts.

Edge sputters, Brody drags him around, and Brody whips Edge hard into the corner! Edge falls, Brody storms up and stands on Edge’s face, but the ref counts. Brody steps back, Edge goes to the apron, but Julia is there to CHOKE him! The ref is none the wiser and Julia mocks the fans. Brody has Edge under ropes for the GUILLOTINE CATAPULT! Brody drags Edge back up, and CHOPS him to a corner. Brody CHOPS again, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Brody hoists Edge up top. Brody climbs up to rain down fists! Brody only goes to three before he hauls Edge up, but Edge fights the superplex!

The fans fire up as Edge and Brody trade body shots. Edge then HEADBUTTS away on Brody, and BITES his forehead! Edge DECKS Brody off the corner, then adjusts. Brody stands, Edge FLYING LARIATS! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Julia coaches Brody, he sits up to fire a forearm! Edge fires back, they go shot for shot, then Brody CHOPS! Edge CHOPS! They CHOP, throw forearms, and the fans fire up behind Edge! Edge kicks and IMP- NO, Brody throws him away! Edge dodges the lariat to LARIAT! Brody stays up so Edge runs up to clothesline in a corner! And again! And again!

Edge fires shots, runs side to side, then BOOTS Brody! The fans fire up as Brody leans on the ropes! Edge runs again, for another BOOT! Edge huffs and puffs and he brings Brody around, IMPALER! Cover, TWO! Brody is still in this and Julia coaches him up. Edge stays on Brody, but Brody TOSSES him to the corner! Edge BOOTS back, goes up, and FLYING BLOCKBUSTERS! Brody drags Edge up and in, but Edge reaches out! Willow tags in! She goes up and she CROSSBODIES Brody! Then she chases after Julia! Julia says no no no, but then Edge SPEARS Brody! Willow hoots now, the fans join in, and Willow gives Brody a CANNONBALL! Julia runs in with a chain! CHAIN PUNCH!! The fans boo as Julia says the House Always Wins! Edge LARIATS Brody out of the ring, but Julia clamps on the HARTLESS LOCK! Willow is OUT, The House of Black wins!

Winners: Brody King & Julia Hart, by submission

The Princess of the Black Throne made sure to have an ace up her sleeve to take this one from Willow! But wait! Here comes Mone! And she has a chair! Julia laughs as she slips away, taking her title with her. The House of Black won tonight, but will they establish their Dynasty?

As for Mone and Willow, well Mone still has the chair and is considering her options. Edge slides back in, so Mone stands down. Edge shakes Mone’s hand, long time no see. Mone still wants to go Double or Nothing, but will she be facing the Keeper of Secrets? Or will it be a long awaited rematch with the Babe with the Power?

Backstage interview with Samoa Joe.

Renee Paquette says we’re just four days away from Dynasty, a PPV where the AEW World Championship will be on the line 1v1, Samoa Joe VS Swerve Strickland. Renee says that in this situation, just Joe and Swerve, how does Joe see Swerve as an opponent? Well, first, Joe viewed Swerve as a worthy adversary. Someone who some day might be a great champion. But for now, he’s just a nuisance. Joe says Swerve is not someone who has overwhelming speed, strength, size, no. He’s just someone who keeps standing back up after getting knocked down. No matter how many times Joe puts Swerve in the dirt, Swerve just gets back up.

To Joe, that doesn’t seem like a prerequisite to becoming a champion, that’s a punching bag. Then Renee wants to run this back to last week on Dynamite. Joe is always calm, cool, collected and in the driver’s seat. But after last week, Swerve getting his shot in on Joe, then Swerve & Nana holding up the AEW World Championship, Joe’s reaction… Walk us through what that was. As expected, Joe was worried his property was in the hands of someone who will never possess it. That maybe this belt would need to be disinfected before it could be TV ready. You don’t know where Nana’s been!

As for Swerve, Joe will focus on his track record and what he represents. It seems that with every title Swerve has challenged for, he has come up short. Is that not right? Seems like Swerve’s a choke artist. Every championship, every opportunity, every time he tries, he comes just so close, then swerves off target. History will repeat itself at Dynasty, as at Dynasty, Joe will do what he always does, and that is destroy the opposition, cement his legacy as the greatest AEW World Champion of all time, and for Swerve, “my friend, unfortunately you are a choke artist. And come Dynasty, you won’t have to worry about it. I’ll be the one choking you out instead.”

The One True King of Wrestling has spoken, but will he still end up dethroned by The Realest?

AEW takes a closer look at The Young Bucks VS FTR Part 4.

But as the highlights of ladder matches and of All In London 2023 play, the Bucks themselves interrupt. This package sucks, who edited this together? Cut, cut! The video stops, and we cut to gorilla. Matthew Jackson “apologizes” to FTR, but tonight’s episode is already running short on time, so they gotta bump this from the show. But Matthew promises, the full package will go on social media. And Nicholas sure hopes FTR is watching, because they’re about to beat their friends’ asses in a really cool Six Man Tag. And yeah, it’s a tune-up for Dynasty! A ladder match for the tag titles? Are you kidding? The Bucks perfected that match!

And the Bucks will then become AEW’s first-ever THREE TIME World Tag Team Champions. But what about tonight, Rainmaker? Kazuchika Okada says, “Hey, Pac! You will not make it to Dynasty. You are a dead man!” Cue the music, time for the badass entrance using that elevator thing. But will the New Elite really be rolling into St. Louis with momentum? Or are they underestimating the Top Guys’ allies?

Six Man Tag: Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks VS PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Daniel Garcia!

The trios sort out and The Rainmaker starts against The Bastard as a preview of their Continental Championship match. The fans rally behind Pac, but then The Bucks CLOBBER him, and Okada BLASTS Pac’s corner! The fans boo as The Elite stomps away on Pac, then the Bucks stand down. Okada tags Nick, he storms up but Pac SOBATS! KICKS! And SOBATS! Pac runs to SHOTGUN BOOT! The fans fire up and Pac tags Penta. Garcia grits his teeth, he pie faces  Nick, but Nick drops a knee on Garcia’s back. Matt gets on a mic to talk to Taz, and to also say hi to Excalibur and Tony Schiavone. Nick CHOKES Garcia on ropes, lets off at 4, and he runs up to SHINING WIZARD! Matt keeps doing his own play by play as Nick bumps Garcia off buckles. Dynamite returns to single picture, Okada holds Garcia in place and Nick runs in, but Garcia BOOTS Nick!

Garcia elbows Okada away, CHOPS Nick, repeat! Matt is concerned on “commentary,” Nick runs back in but Garcia sends him into Okada! Matt says to get him, but Nick waistlocks Garcia. Garcia wrenches to SAIDO free! Matt asks for the tag, Nick tags him, and Matt still holds onto the mic as he stomps Garcia! Matt says it’s fine, he’s got this. Matt promises the ref he won’t hit Garcia with the mic. Matt instead talks trash, shouting, “You think you’re better than me, Garcia?! HUH!?” Matt then pie faces Garcia! Matt eggs on “the kid,” dares Garcia to show him the reason they hired him, and Garcia gets up to reel Matt in!

Matt freaks out, saying he’s sorry, they’re good! But Garcia still gives Matt the SAIDO! The fans fire up while Garcia crawls, hot tag to Pac! Pac RAMS into Matt, slingshots up and over then keeps moving to CLOBBER him! And CLOBBER him again! Pac whips, Matt reveres but Pac stops, sidesteps and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Nick runs in, but he also gets a SNAP GERMAN! The Bucks stagger up, Pac climbs a corner, DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK! The Bucks bail out, the fans fire up, and Pac goes up a corner! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down goes both Bucks and the fans are thunderous! Pac even dares Okada to get some! Okada says he’s not legal, he can’t!

Pac still taunts Okada, but then Matt CLOBBERS Pac from behind! Okada tags in, now he’s legal. Okada then BLASTS Penta, and Nick steps back in. Okada and Nick get Pac up, they double whip him to a corner, then Okada sends Nick in. Pac puts Nick on the apron, Matt’s on the other side, and Okada runs in, DOUBLE GIRI ELBOW COMBO! Okada then brings Pac up, Alabama Lifts, and REVERSE NECKBREAKER! Cover, Penta KICKS it apart! The fans fire up while Pac and Okada are both down! They stir, crawl, hot tag to Penta! CROSSBODY for Okada! Penta runs, SLINGBLADE for Nick! SLINGBLADE for Matt!

Penta catches Okada, tuck and pump handle, MADE IN JAPAN!! Cover, The Bucks break it! The fans boo but Nick rains fists down on Penta. The Bucks whip Penta to Okada, but Penta wheelbarrows and victory rolls, DOUBLE SATELLITE- NO, The Bucks back drop free! Garcia storms up, blocks Nick’s superkick to send it into Matt! Then Garcia reels Nick in, TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Matt superkick feints to DDT Garcia! Pac is up, he HOTSHOTS Matt, then slingshots to CUTTER! The fans are thunderous as Pac glares at Okada. Pac drags Penta to the corner, tags in, and “This is Awesome!” as we get that title match preview after all!

Okada fires a forearm, Pac gives it back, and they keep going back and forth! Pac gets the edge, then whips, but Okada reverses. Okada runs up, into a SUPERKICK! The fans are thunderous as Pac goes up the corner! But Matt trips Pac up! Pac crashes down to the mat, but the fans rally as Garcia rises! Pac crawls over, hot tag to Garcia! Garcia fires off forearms on Okada, then CHOPS! Garcia runs, into a DROPKICK! Okada drags Garcia up, scoops, but Garcia slips free to trip him! Jackknife bridge, TWO!! Okada escapes, gets around, and sends Garcia into DOUBLE GAMANGIRI! Then gut wrench and TOMBSTONE!!

Penta runs up, but Okada dodges the slingblade! Okada scoops Penta to TOMBSTONE!! Nick & Matt get in, DOUBLE SUPERKICKS into the RAINMAKER!! Cover, New Elite wins!

Winners: Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

The Continental Champion smirks as he looms over the Dragonslayer, but The Bucks sit Garcia back up! E V P TRIGGER!! Garcia suffers for being friends with FTR, and then the Bucks bring out a ladder! Penta gets up but Matt DECKS him! Matt stomps Penta, stands on him, and Nick brings Garcia over. Scoop SLAM onto the ladder! Garcia writhes, but the Bucks still aren’t done! They open the ladder, stick Garcia inside, and then squeeze it shut on him! Okada & Matt hold Garcia down while Nick climbs up, but Pac returns! Pac runs the New Elite off with that bell hammer! The Bastard already had reason enough to go after them, but will he take out his rage on Okada?

As for The Bucks, they’ve got the momentum and the upper hand going into that Ladder match! Will they be the ones making history? Or will Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood be the ones to establish their Dynasty?

Dynamite returns with Taz in the ring.

The Suplex Machine promised Chris Jericho to set up a meeting with Hook, so he’s here as moderator as Lionheart makes his entrance. Jericho joins Taz in the ring, followed by Hook. Taz has the mic while fans chant “HOOK! HOOK!” Taz says he’s just here to make sure things go nice and easy. There have been some issues between both Jericho and Hook. That said, Jericho has the floor. Jericho has the mic to say he’s known Taz for 30 years, and he appreciates Taz getting Hook to come out here. And to Hook, Jericho thanks him for coming out here. Jericho just wants to clear up some things.

The reason Jericho pulled Hook off the apron last week was not to mess with Shibata. Shibata ended up collateral damage. Jericho just wanted to get Hook’s attention and let him know it felt like Hook wasn’t listening to him as much as he should. The fans boo and Hook eats chips while Jericho says he is doing this all for Hook. Some say Jericho’s the greatest of all time at this. Others talk about the learning tree. Jericho says he IS the learning tree. The fans boo more but Jericho wants Hook to think about the people who listened to Jericho’s “perfect parables,” his pearls of wisdom. Every single one of them has gotten to that next level.

MJF, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, and so many more! Everyone that has come into the “Jericho Vortex” has come out the other side a better performer, a better wrestler, and to be honest, a better person. That is what Jericho wants for Hook. He wants them to scale to the highest of heights together. They can reach the top of Wizard Mountain so they can both breathe in the rarified air of Jericho and reach the top! Jericho knows he can get Hook there. So what does Hook say? Is he ready to put the animosity aside so he can sit under the brilliant branches of the learning tree?

The fans are booing and saying no. What does Hook say? “No!” The fans cheer and Jericho looks disappointed. What does Hook mean, “no?” Hook says he doesn’t need Jericho’s help. Dude, c’mon. Don’t be stupid. Taz stops Jericho there, but Jericho tells Taz to stop. The fans boo but Jericho says he’s doing what Taz should’ve done 30 years ago and give this kid some proper guidance! Seriously! But this is what Jericho is talking about. He needs to get Hook away from all this dead weight that’s been holding him back his entire life. Taz says Jericho needs to calm down but Jericho says Taz needs to stop.

Jericho again tells Hook that he has had people his whole life telling him how good he is, how he’s a future world champion, including Taz, his father. But Jericho says Hook is not as good as he thinks he is! The fans boo more and Taz speaks up again, only for Jericho to SHOVE him! The fans boo even harder, and now Hook is mad! Hook drops the mic, he storms up to Jericho, and then he SHOVES Jericho into a corner! Hook tells Jericho that he crossed the line. You wanna see how good Hook is? He’ll go another round with him, anytime, anywhere! Now get outta his ring! Jericho says Hook doesn’t mean that, but Hook says it again, get outta his ring!

Hook lets Jericho go and the fans sing “Hey hey hey, Goodbye~!” Jericho slowly takes his leave, trying to smooth things over, but it’s too late for that. When and where will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil get his hooks into Lionheart?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland.

Renee now sits down with the #1 contender to the AEW World Championship. In just a matter of days, Swerve’s career could change. Swerve could become the NEW AEW World Champion at Dynasty. In order to do that, he has to beat Joe. We heard from Joe earlier, what is Swerve’s reaction to Joe calling him a “choke artist?” Swerve chuckles at that. He’ll ask back, does Renee agree with Joe that Swerve’s a choke artist? No, she does not. He doesn’t think so, either. Joe talked about Swerve stumbling, title opportunity after opportunity. He isn’t wrong about that. Swerve has stumbled out the gate, stumbling throughout his career.

But guess what? Swerve’s always fallen forward into success. Just in this past year alone, Swerve was put in a coffin, got back up. He got stapled, body thrown into barbed wire, and he got back up. Not but a couple weeks ago, a man punched him in the face with a chain, bloodied him, and Swerve is still here. Swerve always gets back up. That’s his military upbringing, his warrior ethos: never give up, never quit. So Joe, call Swerve whatever you want. Punching bag, choke artist, a parasite, but guess what? This Sunday at Dynasty, he’ll also be calling Swerve the NEW AEW World Champion. “Whose house?”

Renee asks what makes Swerve so confident about Sunday? Swerve thinks about it, and says with all due respect, it isn’t something he should be answering to Renee. He should be saying this to Samoa Joe. Swerve takes off the mic, takes off his jacket and his hat to get up in the camera. Swerve promises to tell Joe this to his face, in that ring, tonight! Swerve storms off, but will Joe bother to meet him out there?

La Mera Mera shoves Mariah out, has the fans all fired up, and Deonna gets in Rosa’s face. They argue, shove, and then Mariah trips Deonna to drag her out! Mariah and Deonna brawl, Storm takes aim, to kick Rosa low! But Rosa wrenches back to DECK Storm! Rosa gets Storm into a CAMEL CLUTCH, and brings out lipstick! Rosa SMEARS it all over Storm’s crazy face! Rosa gets payback for Storm disrespecting the face paint!

Storm scrambles away, Luther doing his best to clean her up. The Storm and the Thunder are about to clash, which force of nature will reign over the AEW Women’s Division?

Backstage interview with Bullet Club Gold.

Renee is now with the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions, but she has to get the Gunns to stop tapping the mic. This is a very exciting time in AEW as Dynasty is just days away. BCG asked for this time, what is going on? Jay White says it is very exciting but Renee doesn’t seem that excited. This is supposed to be her favorite time of the week! She gets to talk with the who? Bang Bang Gang. Aw c’mon, say it with feeling! Yeah, like this! BANG BANG GANG! The Bang Bang Gang has been having a blast the last couple of months. They did some scissoring, learned new catchphrases, sold new merch, made new friends, got new fans, and the boys even hung out with their old man.

And now everyone can see just how much better off Austin & Colten are without Daddy Ass and with #StepdaddySwitch. And y’know what? They’ll fulfill their destiny at Dynasty! How did this all start? Surprise, surprise, it is all about the gold. They are the ROH Six Man Champs, and Acclaimed have what BCG wants! The Acclaimed are the AEW World Trios Champions! And if you ain’t down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP! Jay White & The Gunns want it all, but will they lose it all in St. Louis?

The Acclaimed respond.

Daddy Ass says, “Well. It seems that you three have finally grown a set and showed everybody what your true intensions are, and that’s to get a shot at the championships that we now hold. Well, Jay White, I’ve already beaten the life outta you. And as for those other two, hell, I’ve been beating the hell out of them since they were little kids. You called down the thunder, well now you’ve got it.” Anthony Bowens says, “That’s right, Jay White. You wanna fight? This Sunday on Dynasty, you want us to put the AEW Trios titles on the line? Well guess what? We accept your challenge. So bring your little Ass Boys, bring your big golden bat, because guess what?

“The Scissor King has got a big golden bat of your own, and you can choke on it!” Max Caster says that’s right, “Twinkblade and the Ass Boys. You guys wanna make challenges? Well let us in on the fun, too. Just for old times, let’s run it back! Two on two, Acclaimed and the Ass Boys on Collision this week, and we’re gonna beat your ass, I’ve got no doubts about it! Because…” “EVERYONE! LOVES! THE ACCLAIMED!” The stakes have been raised, who will establish their Dynasty in the Zero Hour?

PROGRAMMING REMINDER for Saturday!

This Saturday, April 20th, the night before Dynasty, it is Collision AND Rampage back-to-back for THREE hours of All Elite Wrestling! Make sure your DVR is set accordingly so you don’t miss a minute of Dynasty Weekend!

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Just 24 hours before all their title matches on Dynasty, Okada & The Young Bucks are back in action against Pac & FTR! Will The New Elite win another trios match? Or will the #TopBastards have momentum going into St. Louis?

Roderick Strong speaks.

“Kyle, your comeback was sweet. I swear to you, I smiled and I cried because I was so happy to have you back. But there’s something that you didn’t realize.” Roddy is of course referring to how Kyle could do it on his own, so long as he didn’t get in Roddy’s way. Roddy finishes by saying, “When we step into the ring, I am going to break you, and I am going to end you forever!” Another friendship turned sour all because of pride and greed, but will the Savior of the Backbreaker be Kyle’s doom? Or will there be no End of Heartache when Kyle takes the International Championship away from The Undisputed Kingdom?

Will Ospreay VS Claudio Castagnoli!

The Don Callis Family tried to break the Blackpool Combat Club, and they just about did it to Bryan Danielson at the end of Collision last Saturday. Will the Swiss Superman exact some revenge on behalf of the American Dragon? Or will the Aerial Assassin simply sharpen his blade using Claudio’s body?

Dynamite returns as Claudio makes his entrance. Don Callis has magically appeared on commentary because “the golden goose,” “The King of the Bangers,” is here thanks to him. Swerve heads to the ring!

Just as he promised, and with Nana by his side, The Realest is here. He has the music cut to say that this Sunday in St. Louis, the main event of Dynasty, it is Swerve challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. The fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve gets in the ring and says he was asked earlier tonight, how does he believe he’s going to defeat Joe? That answer is simple: remember last week, when he knocked Joe on his ass and had him scurrying like a little b*tch? Joe had fear in his eyes! He was quivering! Swerve was standing there, the title above his head, and it looked mighty good on him.

Joe showed Swerve everything he needed to see. Joe was scared! The fact that Joe knows Swerve’s gonna beat him and win the title. Swerve’s just out here with the people of Indianapolis, he’s just waiting on Joe to come out here so he can say all this to Joe’s face, like a man. So Swerve’s here, Nana’s here, so Joe, bring your Sweet Tooth ass out here! Swerve waits, and here comes Joe! But security stands in the way! This is the man Swerve wants, and he says he just wants to talk, so he can knock Joe’s ass out again! The cluster of Joe and the security guards gets closer and closer, so Swerve goes up and up! Swerve SUPER STOMPS the whole thing apart!!

The fans lose their minds as Swerve stares Joe down! Swerve says he is taking this from Joe, and then the fists fly! Joe whips Swerve into steel steps! Joe puts Swerve in the ring, fetches his belt, and says Swerve’s taking nothing from him! Joe storms into the ring, smirks as Nana checks on Swerve, and then Joe mocks Nana’s dance. Nana turns around and says hold on now! Joe storms up on Nana, but Swerve gets up to BOOT Joe! Swerve aims, for a HOUSE CALL! Joe is down but Swerve goes up! The fans are thunderous, but Joe trips Swerve up! Nana panics as Joe tells Swerve that he is NOT that man!

Joe HEADBUTTS Swerve, tucks him in, and hits the MUSCLE BUSTER!! Joe looms over Swerve, picks up the title, and holds it up high. Will this be the scene at the end of Dynasty? Or will Swerve finally have his moment?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite as the go-home to Dynasty, great escalating of things between Blackpool Combat Club and Don Callis Family. Moxley has a really good opening promo, and he surprisingly calls out Hobbs. Ospreay has an awesome main event with Claudio, and of course Ospreay wins to have momentum going into Dynasty. And I do appreciate that he is against how the Don Callis Family is doing things. They didn’t need to beat up Claudio, he isn’t even part of Dynasty, and now that even backfired as there’s going to be a BIG tag match on Collision as one last go-home to Dynasty. Pretty sure Bryan & Claudio win that so Bryan has momentum, too, making Dynasty’s dream match much more unpredictable.

Good promo from Mercedes Mone, and I like that her hair was colored to match the new Dynamite colors. But also, good detail for her to think how I was thinking, the attack on her could’ve just been Willow making us think it was Julia. Really good Mixed Tag with how someone, apparently Julia, attacked Willow beforehand. It ended up mostly an Edge VS Brody match that way, but good heroic entrance by Willow. But of course the House cuts corners to win, and great save by Mone to run Julia off. This does tease Mone VS Julia but I’m very certain the go-home math says Willow wins the TBS Championship to make Double or Nothing the rematch from the NJPW Strong Women’s title tournament.

Also good stuff in the AEW Women’s World title story as Deonna VS Mariah was a great match. Good win for Deonna, but of course Storm attacks her and that brings out Rosa. Rosa stands tall here, so the math indicates Storm retains. But at the same time, there’s still potential for Storm and Mina Shirakawa to fight over Mariah as opposed to fighting over a title. Or maybe they’ll fight over both? After all, May is Double or Nothing, so it could be a bit of both. Or like, Storm retains the title, but Mina “wins” Mariah to her side, #RoseGold does stuff in AEW or even ROH, and Storm will be without one of her insurance policies.

Great stuff in the story of New Elite. I actually liked The Bucks interrupting the hype package because it started too FTR friendly, and we got a great Six Man Tag. Of course The New Elite beat Pac, Penta & Garcia, but I was kinda hoping FTR was going to make the save to better set up the Six Man Tag I honestly thought we were getting tonight. Pac & FTR VS Okada & Bucks has to go really wonky, though, that’s a lot of go-home math that affects many titles. Meanwhile, Jericho’s face to face with Hook went about as expected in that Jericho ruins it cuz of his ego. Him shoving Taz was the unexpected part but it got Hook mad, and so we’re definitely getting Hook VS Jericho for the FTW Championship at some point.

Good promo from Roddy to hype up his match with Kyle, maybe Kyle has a tune-up match during Collision or Rampage this Saturday so he has momentum going into the match. Great match from Cassidy VS Shane, and while Shane Taylor Promotions interfered a lot, Cassidy winning was of course happening. STP beating him down, and Trent stopping the save was some wild stuff, though. A little surprised no one’s interviewed Trent, or tried and then get shot down by Trent, but him still wearing the “win the big one” shirt kinda implies what broke him. The moment they didn’t win the big one, after all the losses leading up to this, Trent finally gave up on Best Friends.

I am very happy that Acclaimed VS Bang Bang Gang is going to be Winners Take All for the trios titles. Good promos from both sides, but I just hope the winners will bring their AEW and ROH titles to both Collision and ROH TV on Honor Club. We finally got Kyle Fletcher back on ROH TV, the other male champions of ROH need to show up. And uh, for that matter, if Wheeler Yuta is unable to compete at all with his injury, Tony Khan needs to figure out what to do with the ROH Pure Championship. But I think we all know what’s going down with the AEW World Championship. Great promos from both Joe and Swerve, then a great final confrontation to close the night. And per the math, Joe stands tall, meaning Swerve is taking that title at Dynasty.

My Score: 8.9/10

Backstage interview with Hook and Katsuyori Shibata.

Lexi Nari is with the FTW Champion and The Wrestler, and notes we saw Hook make the save for Shibata during Collision against Shane Taylor Promotions. At the same time, Hook is about to face Shane Taylor himself with the FTW title on the line. Knowing what Shane’s capable of, what is Hook’s strategy going into that match? Shibata uses his voice-to-text translator say, “Pardon the interruption… Hook, I’ll have your back tonight.” Hook appreciates that, but even knowing what Shane’s capable of, Hook’s got his own way of handling this. Shibata says bet, and Hook gives him the fist bump.

Backstage interview with Rocky Romero.

Lexi is with Azucar as he is just moments away from his Title Eliminator match for the International Championship. However, Lexi wants to know if he knows what’s going on with Best Friends. Rocky says Chuck, Trent and Orange Cassidy are like brothers to him, and yet he has no idea what’s going on there. But right now, he can’t really worry about that, he has to focus on the match with Roderick Strong. When Rocky wins, he’ll be one step closer to fulfilling his destiny of becoming International Champion. Kyle O’Reilly pops in, wishes Rocky luck, and then heads back out. Will Azucar be able to get one over on the Savior of the Backbreaker? Or will he just end up broken?

AEW International Championship Eliminator: Roderick Strong w/ The Undisputed Kingdom VS Rocky Romero!

While Azucar is confident, it was just last night on Rampage that Roddy took offense to him and Kyle O’Reilly even thinking there was a chance this match doesn’t go The Undisputed Kingdom’s way. Will Roddy prove them all wrong by crossing Rocky off the list? Or is this were The Kingdom starts to crumble?

Kyle helps Rocky up to his feet, and wants the fans to give it up for Rocky. But then Wardlow LARIATS Rocky, and The Kingdom stomps away! Kyle has them stop, this isn’t cool! But then Roddy STRONG KNEES Kyle down?!? The fans boo as Roddy tells Kyle that he could do it on his own, but there’s only ONE man that can be International Champion! Kyle made the wrong decision! Roddy’s arrogance just ended his friendship with Kyle, will Kyle make Roddy pay for that?

Backstage interview with Serena Deeb.

Lexi Nair is with the Professor of Professional Wrestling and notes how last week, Serena walked on stage after Yuka Sakazaki’s return victory. Why? Serena says she was sitting in the back, watching that impressive match, and thought to herself that she was watching a great pro-wrestler. Someone that Serena would love to tear it up with. Tonight, the Professor is here on BOTB, but has no championship opportunity. She’s not sweating it, though. Since her return, Serena is undefeated. She checked the rankings, and The Professor is sitting pretty at Number 3! So week by week, she’s climbing her way up to inevitably become champion.

Serena tells Yuka, that was an invitation. To where? Into the Deeb Dojo! Serena will show Yuka that Serena is better, and that she is what she says she is: The Professor of Pro-Wrestling! Serena wants to test herself against the Wrestling Magical Girl, but who will be the one taking a step closer to a title opportunity?

ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena w/ Billie Starkz VS Red Velvet!

The Fallen Goddess is 49-0 after defeating Hikaru Shida on Supercard of Honor last week, and when she says she’s the Forever Champion, she means that. But will “forever” come to a crashing halt in Kentucky? Or will The Chef be the one getting served an L?

The introductions are made by Lexi Nair, so just a little biased in Athena’s favor. The belt is raised, and here in the main event, we see who is the face of the ROH Women’s Division!

The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings and the fans fire up for Athena already. The two circle, tie up, and they go around. They go into a corner, along ropes, then Athena throws Velvet down. The fans fire up with Athena while BOTB goes picture in picture.

Velvet crawls into the ring but Athena follows her. Athena looms over Velvet, drags her up, then CLUBS her down. Athena stands Velvet up to whip her hard into a corner. Athena revels in the cheers before she runs in and back body blocks! Then Athena goes side to side to forearm SMASH! Athena smiles as Velvet leans against buckles. Athena shoves Velvet down, stomps her around, then drags her back up. Velvet fires body shots, but Athena bumps her off buckles. Velvet avoids the forearm to DOUBLE CHOP! Velvet fires body blows but Athena throws hands! Velvet CHOPS, Athena CHOPS, they CHOP, then Athena CHOPS Velvet off her feet!

The fans cheer while Athena snarls. Athena sits Velvet back up, KICKS her in the back, then KICKS her again! And again! Athena stands Velvet up, bumps her off buckles, then scoops to put Velvet in the Tree of Woe. Athena KICKS away on Velvet’s back, then lets her fall out of the Three. Billie applauds, tells Velvet she should’ve known better, but Velvet swipes at Billie. Billie gets away, cheers Athena on, but Velvet fires hands on Athena! Athena swings back but Velvet bobs ‘n’ weaves! Velvet ROCKS Athena, kicks her legs out, then runs up , into a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Athena is annoyed but still in control as BOTB goes to break.

BOTB returns once again as Athena hits buckles! Velvet rallies on Athena with clothesline after clothesline! Velvet runs, tilt-o-whirls and RANAS Athena onto ropes! Velvet runs up to DOUBLE KNEE! Velvet shoves Athena down, runs, and tilt-o-whirls again, REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO! Athena survives and Velvet is frustrated. Athena crawls away, wanting mercy! But Velvet storms up, only for Athena to YANK Velvet into buckles! Athena then fireman’s carries Velvet for the WASTELAND! Roll through and another fireman’s carry, for another WASTELAND! Another roll through, and then Athena mocks the stirrin’ it up motion!

But Velvet pops up to RANA! Cover, TWO!! Athena escapes, Velvet runs up to wheelbarrow, but Athena URENAGES her down! Cover, TWO!! Athena is furious as Velvet survives! Athena goes up a corner, the fans cheer, and Velvet rises. But Velvet ROUNDHOUSES first! Velvet ROCKS Athena, climbs up after her, then CHOPS! Velvet goes to the very top, to SUPER VICTORY THROW! Athena flounders but she ducks the buzzsaw! Roll up, Velvet rolls through! THE SLICE! And then the tilt-o-whirl DDT!! Cover, TWO!!! Athena survives and Velvet is fuming! Velvet pushes Athena around while the fans rally up.

Athena is in the drop zone, so Velvet goes up top. Velvet tells Billie to shut up, but Athena gets out to the apron. The fans boo but Velvet adjusts position, to leap and SUPER CROSSBODY! Athena catches her!? And then brings Velvet around to FALCON ARROW to the floor! The fans fire up as Athena roars, but so does Velvet as she rises! Only for the SUPERKICK to knock her down! Athena has a wild look on her face and Billie cheers on the Overlord. Athena gets Velvet up, THROWS her into the LED board, then THROWS her around again! Athena drags Velvet up and into the ring, storms in after her, and reels her in! Canadian Rack, but Velvet sunset flips it! TWO!!!

Athena escapes, Velvet runs up, ducks ‘n’ dodges then SUPERKICKS! But Athena DECKS Velvet with a forearm! Athena goes up top, Velvet rises in a daze, to get the O-FACE!! Cover, Athena wins!

Winner: Athena, by pinfall (still ROH Women’s World Champion)

And that’s FIFTY and zero! Fifty wins, no losses, and no slowing down as she title belt clinks with Billie. But as is customary on ROH, Athena sets her belt down, and Billie does, too. They drag Velvet up, mock “stir it up,” but Velvet SLAPS Athena! And SLAPS Billie! But then Athena and Billie mug Velvet! The fans boo as Billie picks up her belt, takes aim, but then QUEEN AMINATA is here! Aminata runs down into the ring, dodges Billie to DECK Athena, then HEADBUTT for Billie! That’s payback for cheating in the TV title match! But then Athena runs up, into an Alabama Lift! AIR RAID CRASH!!

Aminata saves Velvet while also making her own impact, will The Queen not be denied her crown? Or will the Fallen Goddess look to make her pay for this insolence?

My Thoughts:

A really good BOTB but uh, after ten of these, we already know nothing really happens on these. Great action and promos like on Collision, but no titles were ever changing hands. And after two hours of Collision, the crowd was of course tired out. Hook of course defeated Shane but it was a really good showing of Hook’s resilience to take all that damage and still win. Really good match from Roddy and Rocky that Roddy of course won, and turns out I was right in thinking they’d fast track Roddy VS Kyle here. That match will be great stuff, but it’d be a shame if Kyle’s first title shot ends up a loss, even with The Kingdom all there to interfere and distract.

Good promo from Serena to make it clear that she’s having a match with Yuka, just in case it wasn’t clear last week. And then a great main event for the ROH Women’s Championship. Red Velvet looked great even in defeat, and natural move for Aminata to show up and go after Athena & Billie. Aminata really has her pick of the two titles at this point, and while payback on Billie for Supercard is an obvious route, why wouldn’t she go right to the source and take down Athena? Athena’s made it to 50-0, and if not when Athena faced Billie, not when she faced Nyla Rose nor when she faced Shida, her first loss should be to pass the torch to Aminata.

Aminata went through the grind, paid her dues, and has got organically over with ROH viewers, so if she isn’t gonna be the historic first Women’s TV Champ, make her the woman that takes down the top woman in ROH.

My Score: 8.6/10
