There’s been some speculation today that we could see the return of the WWE reality series, Tough Enough, following a report by PWInsider that the company has filed a new copyright for the name back on October 25th.
However, the filing was not for any kind of entertainment, but for “G & S: Toys, namely, action figures, accessories therefor; dolls; cases for action figures; toy wrestling rings; playsets for use with action figures; toy vehicles; board games; tabletop action skill games; construction toys; playing cards; puzzles; stuffed toys; plush toys; toy belts; knee and elbow pads for athletic use; toy foam hands; costume masks; novelty face masks; Christmas tree decorations; toy spinning tops; arcade games; kites; bobble-head dolls; puppets; card games”.
Previously, there was talk last year of WWE getting into more reality-based content with one such idea eventually turning into Miz & Mrs, which premiered on USA Network this Summer and has already been renewed for season two. Other ideas also included a new spin on Tough Enough and the Diva Search, which have both obviously yet to come to fruition.
Tough Enough last was on the air on USA Network in 2015 and the show has spawned the likes of The Miz, Ryback, John Morrison, Kenny King, Maven, Nidia, Matt Morgan, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, The Velveteen Dream, Chelsea Green and others.
