Alexa Bliss: 2017 Chairshot Woman Of The Year

2017 was a year full of amazing performances, and performers, throughout professional wrestling. The Chairshot’s own Greg DeMarco and Patrick O’Dowd came together to determine who deserved the honors for their efforts. That decision is never easy, but the fellas came together to select wrestling’s Man Of The Year, Woman Of The Year, and Tag Team of The Year.

The Chairshot Woman Of The Year:

She may stand five feet and one inch tall, but Alexa Bliss has had the biggest year of anyone in WWE. Need proof? She was the first woman to hold both the Smackdown Women’s Championship AND the Raw Women’s Championship, and she held both in 2017. In fact, when 2017 ends, Alexa Bliss will have been champion for 317 of the 365 days, or 87% of the entire year!

She also manages to be an inspiration to women (and everyone) everywhere while being a highly effective heel. She’s done all this coming off a run in NXT that was luke warm at best, and it appears all that was missing was an opportunity. When drafted to Smackdown Live in the 2016 brand split, no one would have pegged Alexa Bliss as the class of the women’s evolution 18-months later.

No one except Alexa Bliss, that is. And that’s why she is The Chairshot Woman Of The Year for 2017.
