OFFICIAL RESULTS

  • Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss VS Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch; Strowman & Bliss win and advance to the next round.

PLAY BY PLAY

The Mixed Match Challenge has had some ups, and some downs.

We have our first of three second-round match-ups with “Demon Boss” going up against “AWES-KA”, but we also have a drop-out. Alicia Fox broke her tailbone and will be out for longer than this special tournament will last. Who will The Bizarre One choose to replace Ms. Crazy like a Fox?

Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss VS Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch!

The Monster Among Men and the Raw Women’s Champion represent Connor’s Cure while the “Ginger Snaps” represent UNICEF. Only one great cause can carry on to the second round, will Zayn & Lynch #GetTheseHands or will Strowman & Bliss be burned by the #StraightFire?

As voted on by the WWE Universe, the match begins with the ladies, Alexa Bliss and birthday girl, Becky Lynch. The bell rings, Sami lets Becky know he believes in her. The ladies circle, Becky gets the waistlock and the slam. Alexa gets to her feet but Becky brings her back down. The fans wish Becky “Happy Birthday!” which annoys Alexa. Alexa elbows her way out then puts on a headlock. Becky reverses the takeover into her own headlock and gives noogies. Braun says that’s an illegal move! The ladies stand up, standing switch back and forth, but Becky gets control as she grounds Alexa again. She wants her submission but Alexa gets to the ropes! The two separate, Alexa gets mad. The ladies go again, Becky trips up Alexa, cover, TWO. Alexa swipes at Becky but misses, the chop hits and snapmare to cover. TWO as Becky slips out, then Becky uses Sami’s dance to taunt The Goddess.

Things speed up and Alexa reverses the arm-drag to cover, TWO. Becky goes for the backslide, TWO, and now the two stand up. Alexa tries to use her foot for a tag but can’t reach. Becky spins her around and rolls her up, TWO! Becky keeps on Alexa with an Oklahoma roll, TWO. Now a bodyscissor roll, TWO, roll roll roll roll roll, roll roll, roll roll roll, and… a dizzy Becky and Bliss somehow stand up but go in completely wrong directions. Alexa realizes where she is, and Becky knocks her down! Becky still has Philly on her side, but Alexa gets to her corner. Braun says he can end this, but Alexa wants to do this herself. Alexa says she’s just lulling Becky into a false sense of security. Braun trusts the Goddess’ plan, but then she runs at Becky and Becky arm-drags her down multiple times. Becky dropkicks Alexa down, but Philly says “We Want Strowman!” Alexa gets to an open corner, then evades to send Becky into the buckles. She stomps a mudhole into Becky, the referee reprimands her, so Alexa covers, TWO. The fans still want Strowman, so Alexa gives them Strowman! The Monster comes in, which means the Underdog must, too. Sami doesn’t really want to, but rules are rules. Becky gives him one last pep talk, and Philly tells him to get in! Sami finally enters, and circles with Strowman. He throws jabs, then gets out of the ring. Sami dares Strowman to come get his hands, but then slowly returns. Strowman waits for him, lunges at him, but Sami evades to lead Strowman on a cat ‘n’ mouse game. They return into the ring then kicks Strowman on reentry. Bad move, as Strowman grabs Sami! Sami tags right out to Becky, so now Alexa must return. Strowman turns around to make it official, but Sami tags back in and tries to ambush Strowman! Another bad move, as Strowman just grabs Sami again and clubs him down! Alexa laughs at Sami, then Strowman hurls Sami across the ring!

Sami tags out to Becky again, he needs a minute or two. Alexa goes to trip Becky, Becky goes for the Becksploder but Alexa slips out. Becky back kicks Alexa, then whips her to a corner but Alexa reverses. Becky goes up but Alexa kicks her down. Cover, TWO, but Alexa is on Becky with a chinlock. She shrieks into Becky’s hear as she thrashes her around. The fans rally, and Becky gets to her feet. She fights out while we check in with Roode & Flair. Sami points out the finer points of Alexa’s hold that makes it illegal. Becky stands up and gets to ropes, but Alexa just scrapes Becky’s face on it. She then chokes Becky on it, then drives Becky’s face into the mat before giving her the skateboard stomps. Cover, TWO, Alexa stays focused as she wraps on another chinlock. The fans rally, Becky gets to her feet as the fans sing Happy Birthday to Becky. Becky enziguris Alexa down! The ladies crawl for tags, but Sami uses excuses not to tag in. Becky shoves Alexa away and hot tags, now Sami has to come in! He’s too slow, because Strowman gets in and hip tosses him in! Sami gets to a corner, Strowman squashes him, then goes corner to corner to repeat the squash! Strowman gets running but Saim dumps him out and rocks him with a dropkick. Sami slingshots but Strowman catches him to then bounce him off the apron edge! Becky is concerned, Alexa rams Becky into the post! Strowman stalks Sami while Alexa puts Becky in the ring. Sami grabs the bear and hotshots Strowman off the barrier. He climbs up, but Strowman brings him off to throw him back over! Strowman then hurries to tag Alexa, she climbs up onto his shoulders, MONSTER Twisted Bliss!!

Bliss & Strowman win and advance!

Goldust has found his “Leading Lady”!

It’s the Golden Lady, Mandy Rose! Can #RoseGold defeat the husband-wife duo of UCE-GLOW?

In-ring interview with the winners!

Alexa claims credit for this victory, it was her strategy that one it all for them. Strowman knows Alexa is a lot smaller, but her personality is just as big as him. It was a team effort, and they get along both professionally and maybe even personally. Alexa is pretty cute, y’know. The fans cheer that Alexa should “Get These Hands!” and Alexa says Braun is cute, too. Like a truck with a smiley face. Thanks? But they both know this: “We’re going all the way.”

“To a victory in the Mixed Match Challenge!” Philly is a bit disappointed, but they still chant “All The Way!” Alexa takes over the interview to let Braun “do it”: ROOOOOAR!! With this big time combination, will any other team stand a chance?
