CM Punk And Wade Barrett To Become Beastmasters Hosts, WWE Network Additions

On Tuesday February 27th, Netflix announced that they have renewed Ultimate Beastmaster for a third season on their streaming service with a new format and the show featuring contestants from the United Kingdom and Australia for the first time.

CM Punk will be a co-hos for the United States side of things, along with current presenter Tiki Barber, while former WWE superstar Stu Bennett (better known as Wade Barrett/Bad News Barrett) will be a co-host for the United Kingdom side of things.

The third season, which in full will feature contestants from eight countries, including United Kingdom, Australia, United States, Brazil, France, Italy, Mexico and South Korea, will launch later this year globally on Netflix.

PWInsider is reporting that the WWE Network will be adding WWWF All-Star Wrestling to it’s Vault section next month. This will be the first time that this series will be seen in decades. From what they have been told all 92 episodes of the series are expected to be added the first week in March.

In addition to above, PWInsider.com is also reporting a WWE Network Collections for Chris Jericho and Becky Lynch will be added in March as well.

As far as future releases on the WWE Network goes they note that additional vintage episodes of WCW Saturday Night will be added in April and the remaining Mid-Atlantic Wrestling TV episodes will be added in May.

My Thoughts:

It’s nice to see so many former superstars obtain opportunities outside of wrestling. Believe it or not being able to show tapes of promos in front of large audiences help to get these guys. Also I’m excited for the additions to the network, as we can never have enough content on there.
