During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Brock Lesnar’s status for tonight’s Elimination Chamber event.

Meltzer mentioned that he wouldn’t be at tonight’s show.

He would go on to say this:

“As of I would say two weeks ago, he was not going to be at Vegas and he was going to start his first match back in Anaheim on Monday and I haven’t heard that it’s changed, so I think that they are doing the faceoff.”

Dave Meltzer also discussed what match would open the show. He stated that the Women’s Elimination Chamber match will open tonight’s event.

He also believes that the Men’s Elimination Chamber will likely be the main event.

“I guess they are going to open with the Women’s Chamber and end with the Men’s Chamber,” Meltzer said.

• Men’s Elimination Chamber Match: Elias (Last Entrant) vs. Braun Strowman vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. The Miz (First Entrant) vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins

• Raw Women’s Title Elimination Chamber Match: Alexa Bliss © vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sonya Deville vs. Sasha Banks
• Singles Match: Nia Jax vs. Asuka – If Jax Wins, She’s Added To Raw Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania 34
• Ronda Rousey will sign her official WWE Raw contract at the Elimination Chamber

• Bray Wyatt vs. Matt Hardy

• Raw Tag Team Title Match: Sheamus & Cesaro © vs. Apollo & Titus O’Neil
• Kickoff Show Match: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. The Miztourage

My Thoughts:

In regards to the match layout with the Women’s Chamber opening and Mens closing, I think it’s the right call. The women will also be highlighted with the Rousey contract signing. As far as Lesnar goes, there is nothing for him to do tonight. Hold him off and grab the ratings.
