This weeks episode of Smackdown Live featured build towards the upcoming Fastlane Pay Per View. Randy Orton appeared in a backstage segment on the show with Bobby Roode, further their U.S. Title angle. However in this article we are looking at what happened after the show.

Orton wrestled Jinder Mahal in the dark match after Smackdown and 205 Live went off the air.

It turns out that this dark match didn’t last very long. Orton dropped Jinder Mahal right away with an RKO.

Below is a backstage video of Dasha Fuentes speaking to WWE champion A.J. Styles after he lost last night’s non-title SmackDown main event to John Cena. Per the stipulation, the WWE main event will now be a Six-Pack Challenge with AJ defending against Cena, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. AJ says, “the greatest thing about losing is that you learn to hate it, but he is going to win at Fastlane because that’s what winners do.”

In the Fallout video below, Sasha Fuentes talks to Ruby Riott, LIV Morgan and Sarah Logan. Ruby says, “SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has had this perfect little world her entire life but she’s been carrying around the title for far too long and Ruby is here to make that perfect world crumble to pieces.” Ruby also states she’s also here to take that title from Flair and bring it to The Riott Squad.

Ruby Riott is the number one contender to Charlotte Flair’s title and defeated Naomi on Smackdown Live.
