WWE Planning Huge Show, Kane Returns At Live Event, NXT Star Problems Working In Canada

Kane returned to action on Friday at WWE’s live event in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Wings Event Center. He took on Braun Strowman.

According to a user on reddit who attended the show, Strowman beat Kane in about eight minutes.

We last saw Kane on Raw on Jan. 29, WWE shot an angle that removed Kane from television. During a Last Man Standing Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match, Strowman upended the stage beneath the Raw announce desk, crushing Kane beneath it.

If you recall, The MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) has been rumored to wanting to hold a big WWE event with the idea of bringing in 100,000 fans.

The Herald Sun (a major newspaper in Victoria, Australia) reports that WWE has partnered up with Visit Victoria to put on a show in October. An announcement for the event is expected to occur at WrestleMania 34.

According to the report, it would be a pay-per-view event and that the sports entertainment company would feature top stars such as The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, and John Cena.

It’s estimated the event would bring more than $100 million to the state’s economy.

WWE advertised Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for NXT’s recent four-event tour of Ontario, Canada (Feb. 22 through Feb. 25), but the duo did not appear at any of the events. The Undisputed ERA instead worked NXT shows in Florida over those days.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Fish, at least in the past, had problems entering Canada. However, he was told that the problem “was taken care of.”

Meltzer also notes that he can’t find a record of Fish working in Canada since 2014 for Ring of Honor.
