WWE Reportedly Applies For ‘Samoa Joe’ Trademark
In a report via PWInsider, WWE filed for the Samoa Joe trademark. WWE traditionally files for trademarks for all talents, for the purposes of marketing and merchandise sales.
Samoa Joe, who is out of action with an injury (but wrestling fans would love to see him back in time foe WrestleMania), has owned the ‘Samoa Joe’ trademark since 2007.
It’s largely believed that the former TNA, ROH, and NXT Champion, who turns 39 today, will finish his career with WWE.
Thoughts:
I don’t expect this to cause any issues, I’d think it’s part of his deal with the company. I’m more concerned with Joe making his in-ring return when he’s ready.
